We study planar random surfaces on a hypercubic lattice in two and three dimensions by Monte Carlo techniques. Our data are consistent with the formula n0(A;C) Ab0A, where n0(A;C) is the number of planar random surfaces with area A and boundary C. We find b0 = −1.4 ± 0.2, = 5.31 ± 0.03 (for d = 2) and b0 = −1.5 ± 0.2, = 7.13 ± 0.05 (for d = 3). The values of b0 disagree with those obtained from the Polyakov string model.  相似文献

We have measured the resistivity of textured Bi1.84Pb0.4Sr2Ca2Cu3Oy silver-clamped thick films as a function of temperature, current density ranging from 10 to 1×103 A/cm2 and magnetic field up to 0.3 T. We find that the effective activation energy Ue follows Ue(T,J,H)=U0(1−T/Tp)mln(Jc0/J)H with m=1.75 for Hab-plane and 2.5 for Hc-axis and =0.76 for Hab and 0.97 for Hc, for the current density regime above 100 A/cm2, where Tp is a function of applied magnetic field and current density. This result suggests the effective activation energy Ue be correlated with the temperature, current density and magnetic field. The possible dissipative mechanisms responsible for the temperature, current density and magnetic field dependence of the effective activation energy are discussed.  相似文献

A simple relation is found in 3d transitional metal alloys between the lattice constant and the magnetization, which can be described with an equation: a(x) = a0A· (1 − x) + a0B. x + C μ(x). It is proposed that studies of lattice constants at high temperatures may serve as an experimental method to detect the existence of localized moments above Tc. The anomalous thermal expansion of the Invar alloy is explained as a result of the collapse of localized moments above Tc.  相似文献

研究MC与Mn+1ACn(M=Sc, Ti, V, Cr, Mn; A=Al, Si, P, S; n=1, 2, 3)结构的稳定性与电子特征有利于探究三元层状结构Mn+1ACn稳定性的内在原因和设计新型Mn+1ACn结构. 第一性原理计算研究表明, M-3d与C-2p轨道间的电子转移对MC与Mn+1ACn 的形成焓有较大影响. 供电子能力较强的前过渡金属可以形成稳定的MC结构. 计算结果显示, MC结构是缺电子体系, 其趋向于与具有一定供电子能力的MA结构结合形成Mn+1ACn. 与M2PC和M2SC 相比, M2AlC和M2SiC可以更为容易地被分离成二维 M2C结构. 关键词: MAX相结构 第一性原理 电子结构 过渡金属碳化物  相似文献

Pr substituted at constant Ca concentration for Y in (Y1−xyPrxCay)Ba2Cu3O7−δ superconductors have been prepared under identical conditions and the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity of these samples are measured. The resistively determined values of Tc decrease linearly with increasing x (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.2) for constant y = 0.10 and 0.15 which provides convincing evidence that the suppression of superconductivity by Pr is mainly due to magnetic pair breaking. The suppression of superconductivity can also be correlated to the observed changes in oxygen content determined by iodometric analysis and to the average Cu-valences. However, it is found that the observed suppression of Tc cannot be compensated by appropriate hole doping with Ca.  相似文献

The nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate, 1/T1, has been measured in weak itinerant ferromagnets Y(Co1−xAlx)2. The temperature and magnetic field dependence of 1/T1T has been found to be well described by the self-consistent renormalization (SCR) theory of spin fluctuations. The parameters characterizing spin fluctuations in this system were estimated from NMR and magnetic measurements. The temperature dependence of susceptibility calculated from these parameters well reproduces the experimental results.  相似文献

The anisotropy of the normal-state resistivity of a number of superconducting Bi1.95Sr1.65La0.4CuO6+δ single crystals has been measured by using both a six- and a four-terminal technique. We find that the ab-plane resistivity ab in general increases almost linearly with temperature (dab/dT> 0). the temperature variation of the c-axis resistivity c, however, is strongly sample dependent. Both metallic-like (dc/dT> 0) and mixed temperature dependences of c, including dc/dT < 0 are observed. The mixed c(T) data can be well described by fitting to c(T) = A + BT + C/T, indicating that the temperature dependence of c(T) is the result of a competition between metallic and non-metallic terms. The temperature Tmin at which c reaches a minimum increases with increasing dab/dT, suggesting that the metallic term of c arises from misaligned Cu---O planes. This is confirmed by an electron-microscope (HRTEM) analysis of the samples. The anisotropy ratio c/ab is of the order of 103 but increases monotonically with decreasing temperature, indicating differences in the scattering processes parallel and perpendicular to the Cu---O plane.  相似文献

We explore the impact of the Sandage−Loeb (SL) test on the precision of cosmological constraints for f(T) gravity theories. The SL test is an important supplement to current cosmological observations because it measures the redshift drift in the Lyman-α forest in the spectra of distant quasars, covering the “redshift desert” of 2z5. To avoid data inconsistency, we use the best-fit models based on current combined observational data as fiducial models to simulate 30 mock SL test data. We quantify the impact of these SL test data on parameter estimation for f(T) gravity theories. Two typical f(T) models are considered, the power-law model f(T)PL and the exponential-form model f(T)EXP. The results show that the SL test can effectively break the existing strong degeneracy between the present-day matter density Ωm and the Hubble constant H0 in other cosmological observations. For the considered f(T) models, a 30-year observation of the SL test can improve the constraint precision of Ωm and H0 enormously but cannot effectively improve the constraint precision of the model parameters.  相似文献

Within a real-space renormalization-group framework, we approach the cubic lattice through a D = 3 diamond-like hierarchical lattice. The model is a standard, nearest-neighbor, Ising spin glass with coupling constants {Jij} distributed according to the family of continuous probability distributions Pq(Jij) ∝ 1/[1 + (q − 1)Jij2/2J2]1/(q − 1) (if 1 + (q − 1) Jij2/2J2 > 0, and zero otherwise; q ). Such distributions, which arise naturally in the treatment, within the recently proposed nonextensive thermostatistics, of anomalous diffusion, reproduce the usual, Gaussian case, for q → 1. Moreover, they present a second moment Jij2 proportional to (5 − 3q)−1 for q < 5/3, diverging for q ≥ 5/3, but keeping a finite width at midheight. In the limit q → 3, Pq(Jij) collapses with the abscissa, and so the width at midheight diverges. We compute the q-dependence of the spin-glass critical temperature Tc. We show numerically that Tc does not scale with Jij21/2 (contrary to the usual belief), but rather with the width at midheight of Pq(Jij). Our results suggest that Tc vanishes as −1/q when q → −∞; furthermore, we verified that Tc diverges exponentially when q approaches 3 from below.  相似文献

Wideline 1H FID and relaxation measurements of a relatively simple motionally heterogeneous system, the triblock copolymer styrene–butadiene–styrene, have been performed in a temperature range between the polystyrene and polybutadiene glass transition temperatures. The two FID and the two spin lattice relaxation time in the rotating frame (T1ρ) components found at each temperature have been correlated by means of a two-dimensional approach. It is shown that this approach allows dynamic information, not accessible simply by interpreting proton T1 and T1ρ data, to be revealed. In the case examined, the correlation found could be confirmed by high-resolution 1H T1ρ-selective 13C Cross Polarization experiments.  相似文献

Intensities and nitrogen-broadened widths of several low-J lines in the Q-branch of the 15 μm band of CO2 have been determined over the temperature range 200–300 K. Measurements were made with a tunable infra-red diode laser spectrometer having a spectral resolution 10-4 cm-1. Measured intensities are uniformly about 7% lower than available calculations which were based on previous measurements of band intensity. Measured line widths are higher than available calculations and generally followed the relation
bL0(T)=bL0(T0)(T0|T)n

Let DA be the Dirac operator of M coupled to a connection A of P and f a smooth function on M. We consider a smooth variation A(u) of A with tangent vector ω and denote Tω:= (DA(u)f) (u=0. The coefficients of the asymptotic expansion of trace (Tω · e-t(DAf)2) near t=0 define 1-forms a(k)f, K=0, 1, 2, … on (P). In this paper we calculate aa(0)f, a(1)f, a(2)f and study some of their properties. We have investigated the reversible mixed-state magnetization M of three lanthanum substituted Bi1.95Sr2.05−xLaxCuOy (Bi-2201) ceramic samples having different critical temperatures Tc ranging from 20.0 to 35.5 K. As for the Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi-2212) phase, we found that anisotropy of Bi-2201 is large. A manifestation of this anisotropy is the field independent magnetization M* observed at a temperature T*. In the framework of the London model, and including thermal fluctuations of vortices, we found for the temperature dependence of the penetration depth λab(T) = λab(0)[1 − (T/Tc0)n]−1/2, with n 1.7 and λab (T = 0) 4000 Å. The estimated upper critical fields μ0Hc2,c are of the order of 10 T. We observe a peculiar negative slope M/T at low temperature and sufficiently high external magnetic field. This feature seems to be a characteristic of the Bi-2201 phase. However, we do not know whether it is associated with the superconducting mixed-state. A small amount of magnetic impurities could also be responsible for this behavior. Finally, the behavior of the reversible magnetization of the Bi-2201 samples investigated, which are situated at the optimal and in the overdoped region, did not indicate any unusual temperature dependence for the upper critical field Hc2,c.  相似文献

采用传统的固相反应烧结方法制 备BaxSr1-xTiO3(0.40≤ x ≤0.70)陶瓷,借助于Raman散射光谱,研究了陶瓷样品在不同原位电场作用下Raman振动模式的变化,观察到居里温度附近显著的电场诱导的四方–立方相之间的转变. 结果表明A1(TO3)和E(TO4)两种振动模式与晶体的结构存在密切的联系,这两种模式源于O-Ti-O沿晶格中c轴的方向和ab面内的振动. A1(TO3)/E(TO4)之间Raman峰的相对强度比,随外加场强的增加明显升高,顺电相逐渐转变为铁电相,晶格的畸变越来越明显,其宏观性能上表现为介电常数的降低,可调率的增加. 同时对居里温度附近电场诱导的结构相变对顺电相下介电非线性的贡献进行了探讨. 关键词: 钛酸锶钡 Raman散射光谱 结构相变  相似文献

We discuss the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz, and explain how it allows one to reduce the infinite-volume thermodynamics of a (1 + 1)-dimensional purely elastic scattering theory to the solution of a set of integral equations for the one-particle excitation energies. The free energy at zero chemical potential(s) and temperature T is related to the ground state energy E0(R) of the theory on a cylinder of circumference R = 1/T. E0(R) determines properties of the CFT describing the UV limit of the given massive theory. These include the central charge (which we investigated in earlier work), the scaling dimension d of the conformal field whose perturbation leads to the massive theory, the coefficients in the conformal perturbation theory (CPT) expansion of E0(R) in powers of R2−d, and the bulk term in the CPT calculation of the ground-state energy. We determine the bulk term analytically, and obtain numerically the first six coefficients in the expansion of E0(R) for many purely elastic scattering theories, including the scaling limit of the T = Tc Ising model in a magnetic field. The perfect agreement with (more limited) direct CPT results provides further strong support for the identification of these theories as specific perturbed CFTs. We suggest that the singularities of E0(R), the first of which is responsible for the finite radius of convergence of CPT, are square-root branch points and related to the zeros of the partition function of the corresponding lattice model.  相似文献

Magnetic measurements of various types have played an essential role in establishing the novel normal state characteristics of high transition temperature (Tc) superconductors with Tc > 23 K. Among these materials, the highest Tc's ( 125 K) are exhibited by the layered cuprates. In this paper, the normal state magnetic susceptibilities of the cuprates are reviewed and interpreted in the context of magnetic neutron scattering and other magnetic measurements, using the La2−xMxCuO4-type and YBa2Cu3O6+x-type materials as prototypical examples. The evolution of the magnetism upon doping the insulating antiferromagnetic “parent” compounds with x = 0 to form the high temperature superconductors is described. A recurrent property which differentiates these materials from conventional superconductors is the existence of strong antiferromagnetic correlations in the metallic state on the same sublattice of the structure in which the itinerant carriers reside.  相似文献

We present an analytic three-loop calculation for thermodynamic quantities of the O(n) symmetric Φ4 theory below Tc within the minimal subtraction scheme at fixed dimension d = 3. Goldstone singularities arising at an intermediate stage in the calculation of O(n) symmetric quantities cancel among themselves leaving a finite result in the limit of zero external field. From the free energy we calculate the three-loop terms of the amplitude functions ƒΦ, F+ and F of the order parameter and the specific heat above and below Tc, respectively, without using the e = 4-d expansion. A Borel resummation for the case n = 2 yields resummed amplitude functions fΦ and F that are slightly larger than the one-loop results. Accurate knowledge of these functions is needed for testing the renormalization-group prediction of critical-point universality along the λline of superfluid 4He. Combining the three-loop result for F with a recent five-loop calculation of the additive renormalization constant of the specific heat yields excellent agreement between the calculated and measured universal amplitude ratio A+/A- of the specific heat of 4He. In addition we use our result for fΦ to calculate the universal combination Rc of the amplitudes of the order parameter, the susceptibility and the specific heat for n = 2 and n = 3. Our Borel-resummed three-loop result for Rc is significantly more accurate than the previous result obtained from the ε-expansion up to O2.  相似文献

In the string theory framework for physics beyond the standard model the hidden sector of E8×E8 heterotic string theory and the graviton multiplet provide compelling sources for the dark matter in the universe.

In the present investigation I consider the graviton multiplet as one particular dark matter source in heterotic string theory. In particular, it is pointed out that an appreciable fraction of dark matter from the graviton multiplet requires a mass generating phase transition around Tc108 GeV, where the symmetry partners of the graviton would evolve from an ultrahard fluid to pressureless dark matter. This indicates m10 MeV for the massive components of the graviton multiplet, and it is reassuring that the corresponding dilaton lifetime τ1017 s is compatible with a dark matter interpretation.  相似文献

We have studied the microscopic properties of the hexagonal ZrNiAl, a model compound for a wide family of intermetallic compounds crystallizing in this type of structure, by using 27Al NMR spectroscopy. We have investigated the lineshape of static and MAS NMR spectra as a function of magnetic field strength (4.7–9.4 T) and temperature (5–300 K). Our data indicate that the 27Al NMR spectra result from a combined effect of quadrupole and anisotropic shift interactions. The 27Al nuclei are in an environment characterized by the quadrupole coupling constant e2qQ/h of 3.3 MHz, asymmetry parameter ηQ of 0.42, isotropic shift δiso of 393 ppm, shift anisotropy δanis = δzz − (δxx + δyy)/2 of 150 ppm, and asymmetry factor ηS of 0.5. They are found to be temperature independent. The spin–lattice relaxation rate measured at 7.05 T is proportional to the temperature with T1T = 135 s K. The mechanisms responsible for observed values of δiso, δanis, T1T, and the enhanced Korringa constant are discussed.  相似文献
