A Finite Difference Scheme for Blow-Up Solutions of Nonlinear Wave Equations

<正>We consider a finite difference scheme for a nonlinear wave equation,whose solutions may lose their smoothness in finite time,i.e.,blow up in finite time.In order to numerically reproduce blow-up solutions,we propose a rule for a time-stepping, which is a variant of what was successfully used in the case of nonlinear parabolic equations.A numerical blow-up time is defined and is proved to converge,under a certain hypothesis,to the real blow-up time as the grid size tends to zero.     

KAM Theory for Partial Differential Equations

In the last years much progress has been achieved in KAM theory concerning bifurcation of quasi-periodic solutions of Hamiltonian or reversible partial differential equations.We provide an overview of the state of the art in this field.

Local Unstable Entropy and Local Unstable Pressure for Partially Hyperbolic Endomorphisms*

In this paper, local unstable metric entropy, local unstable topological entropy and local unstable pressure for partially hyperbolic endomorphisms are introduced and investigated. Specially, two variational principles concerning relationships among the above mentioned numbers are formulated.     

Nonconforming Finite Element Methods for the Constrained Optimal Control Problems Governed by Nonsmooth Elliptic Equations

In this paper,nonconforming finite element methods(FEMs)are proposed for the constrained optimal control problems(OCPs)governed by the nonsmooth elliptic equations,in which the popular EQr1 ot element is employed to approximate the state and adjoint state,and the piecewise constant element is used to approximate the control.Firstly,the convergence and superconvergence properties for the nonsmooth elliptic equation are obtained by introducing an auxiliary problem.Secondly,the goal-oriented error estimates are obtained for the objective function through establishing the negative norm error estimate.Lastly,the methods are extended to some other well-known nonconforming elements.     

A Direct Method of Moving Planes to Fractional Power SubLaplace Equations on the Heisenberg Group

We give the direct method of moving planes for solutions to the conformally invariant fractional power sub Laplace equation on the Heisenberg group.The method is based on four maximum principles derived here.Then symmetry and nonexistence of positive cylindrical solutions are proved.

Hölder,Sobolev,weak-type and BMO estimates in mixed-norm with weights for parabolic equations

We prove weighted mixed-norm Lqt(W2,px)and Lqt(C2,αx)estimates for 10,x∈Rn.x∈Rn,The coefficients a(t)=(aij(t))are just bounded,measurable,symmetric and uniformly elliptic.Furthermore,we show strong,weak type and BMO-Sobolev estimates with parabolic Muckenhoupt weights.It is quite remarkable that most of our results are new even for the classical heat equation?tu?Δu+u=f.     

ON THE DIFFERENTIAL AND DIFFERENCE INDEPENDENCE OFΓANDζ

In this paper,we study the algebraic differential and the difference independence between the Riemann zeta function and the Euler gamma function.It is proved that the Riemann zeta function and the Euler gamma function cannot satisfy a class of nontrivial algebraic differential equations and algebraic difference equations.     

Neighbor Sum Distinguishing Total Coloring of Triangle Free IC-planar Graphs

A graph is IC-planar if it admits a drawing in the plane such that each edge is crossed at most once and two crossed edges share no common end-vertex.A proper total-k-coloring of G is called neighbor sum distinguishing if∑_c(u)≠∑_c(v)for each edge uv∈E(G),where∑_c(v)denote the sum of the color of a vertex v and the colors of edges incident with v.The least number k needed for such a total coloring of G,denoted byχ∑"is the neighbor sum distinguishing total chromatic number.Pilsniak and Wozniak conjecturedχ∑"(G)≤Δ(G)+3 for any simple graph with maximum degreeΔ(G).By using the famous Combinatorial Nullstellensatz,we prove that above conjecture holds for any triangle free IC-planar graph with△(G)≥7.Moreover,it holds for any triangle free planar graph withΔ(G)≥6.     

Eigenvector p-Bases of Rings of Constants of Derivations

Let A be a UFD of characteristic p > 0, let 𝒵 be a set of some eigenvectors of a derivation of A. We prove, under some additional assumptions, a necessary and sufficient condition for 𝒵 to be a p-basis of the minimal ring of constants containing 𝒵. The main preparatory result is the unique decomposition theorem with respect to a factor from a given subalgebra containing A^p.     

有资格限制的指派问题的求解方法

在实际的指派工作中，常会遇到某个人有没有资格去承担某项工作的问题，因此，本建立了有资格限制的指派问题的数学模型。在此数学模型中，将效益矩阵转化为判定矩阵，由此给出了判定此种指派问题是否有解的方法；在有解的情况下，进一步将效益矩阵转化为求解矩阵，从而将有资格限制的指派问题化为传统的指派问题来求解。最后给出了一个数值例子来说明这样的处理方法是有效的。     

Estimation of the number of components of finite mixtures of multivariate distributions

An estimator of the number of components of a finite mixture ofk-dimensional distributions is given on the basis of a one-dimensional independent random sample obtained by a transformation of ak-dimensional independent random sample. A consistency of the estimator is shown. Some simulation results are given in a case of finite mixtures of two-dimensional normal distributions.     

Asymptotic Behavior of Solutions of Equations of Main Resonance

We investigate a system of two first-order differential equations that appears when averaging nonlinear systems over fast one-frequency oscillations. The main result is the asymptotic behavior of a two-parameter family of solutions with an infinitely growing amplitude. In addition, we find the asymptotic behavior of another two-parameter family of solutions with a bounded amplitude. In particular, these results provide the key to understanding autoresonance as the phenomenon of a considerable growth of forced nonlinear oscillations initiated by a small external pumping.     

On Location and Approximation of Clusters of Zeros of Analytic Functions

At the beginning of the 1980s, M. Shub and S. Smale developed a quantitative analysis of Newton's method for multivariate analytic maps. In particular, their α-theory gives an effective criterion that ensures safe convergence to a simple isolated zero. This criterion requires only information concerning the map at the initial point of the iteration. Generalizing this theory to multiple zeros and clusters of zeros is still a challenging problem. In this paper we focus on one complex variable function. We study general criteria for detecting clusters and analyze the convergence of Schroder's iteration to a cluster. In the case of a multiple root, it is well known that this convergence is quadratic. In the case of a cluster with positive diameter, the convergence is still quadratic provided the iteration is stopped sufficiently early. We propose a criterion for stopping this iteration at a distance from the cluster which is of the order of its diameter.     

Existence of normal Hall subgroups by means of orders of products

Let G be a finite group, let π be a set of primes and let p be a prime. We characterize the existence of a normal Hall π‐subgroup in G in terms of the order of products of certain elements of G. This theorem generalizes a characterization of A. Moretó and the second author by using the orders of products of elements for those groups having a normal Sylow p‐subgroup 6 . As a consequence, we also give a π‐decomposability criterion for a finite group also by means of the orders of products.     

Geometry of the Space of Phylogenetic Trees

We consider a continuous space which models the set of all phylogenetic trees having a fixed set of leaves. This space has a natural metric of nonpositive curvature, giving a way of measuring distance between phylogenetic trees and providing some procedures for averaging or combining several trees whose leaves are identical. This geometry also shows which trees appear within a fixed distance of a given tree and enables construction of convex hulls of a set of trees. This geometric model of tree space provides a setting in which questions that have been posed by biologists and statisticians over the last decade can be approached in a systematic fashion. For example, it provides a justification for disregarding portions of a collection of trees that agree, thus simplifying the space in which comparisons are to be made.     

管状曲面在曲线论中的应用

Approximation of Attainable Sets of an Evolution Inclusion of Subdifferential Type

In a separable Hilbert space we consider an evolution inclusion with a multivalued perturbation and evolution operators that are subdifferentials of a proper convex lower semicontinuous function depending on time. Along with the original inclusion, we consider a sequence of approximating evolution inclusions with the same perturbation and the evolution operators that are subdifferentials of the Moreau–Yosida regularizations of the original function. We show that the attainable set of the original inclusion, regarded as a multivalued function of time, is the uniform (in time) limit in the Hausdorff metric of the sequence of attainable sets of the approximating inclusions. As an application we consider an example of a control system with discontinuous nonlinearity.
