有效利用电子束在波荡器中运动时产生的谐波辐射,是获得更短波长辐射最直接的方法之一。提高波荡器磁场的谐波分量可以提高电子束的谐波辐射光场强度。分析了一种改进Halbach型波荡器结构,计算了其磁场的构成,分析表明这种结构可以使磁场的三次谐波分量提高至基波分量的25%左右。以合肥光源的电子束参数为例,计算了波荡器磁场谐波分量增强后对电子束自发辐射谱的影响。计算结果表明,波荡器磁场谐波分量增强至25%时,可以使电子束自发辐射的三次谐波辐射增强至基波辐射光子通量的67%左右。 相似文献

文中描述了渡越辐射用于束流诊断的理论依据,介绍了利用渡越辐射对18MeV,2.7kA的强流脉冲电子束进行诊断的实验方案,介绍了在强流束测量中遇到的困难和解决方法.实验中获得了渡越辐射的特征图案,并对特征图案进行了分析,得到了测量时应该使用偏振片的结论.据此,利用渡越辐射测量了强流脉冲束的剖面、能量、发散角.并采用渡越辐射与切伦科夫辐射相结合的方法,用切伦科夫辐射测量束剖面,用渡越辐射测量能量和发散角,在同一次实验中获得了强流脉冲束的归一化发射度. 相似文献

切伦科夫辐射是一种方向性极好的辐射,其辐射能量发射方向严格地与带电粒子的运动方向相关,辐射光携带了带电粒子的方向信息,利用这种特性可以进行电子束发散角及其分布的测量。在基于切伦科夫辐射原理的基础上,考虑电子与物质作用时的多重库仑散射、电离等效应,进行了电子束发散角测量的蒙特卡罗数值模拟程序的建模工作,并完成了理想电子束及具有发散角分布的电子束的测量技术模拟工作。大量模拟结果显示,这种测量方法是可行的,具有对电子束发散角分布进行直接测量的能力,并且其测量系统结构简单。 相似文献

采用单电子模型和经典辐射理论分别对低能和高能电子在线偏振激光驻波场中的运动和辐射过程进行了研究. 结果表明: 垂直于激光电场方向入射的低速电子在激光驻波场中随着光强的增大, 逐渐从一维近周期运动演变为二维折叠运动, 并产生强的微米量级波长的太赫兹辐射; 高能电子垂直或者平行于激光电场方向入射到激光驻波场中, 都会产生波长在几个纳米的高频辐射; 低能电子与激光驻波场作用中, 激光强度影响着电子的运动形式、辐射频率以及辐射强度; 高能电子入射时, 激光强度影响了电子高频辐射的强度, 电子初始能量影响着辐射的频率; 电子能量越高, 产生的辐射频率越大. 研究表明可以由激光加速电子的方式得到不同能量的电子束, 并利用电子束在激光驻波场的辐射使之成为太赫兹和X射线波段的小型辐射源. 研究结果可以为实验研究和利用激光驻波场中的电子辐射提供依据. 相似文献

Diffraction radiation is one of the most promising candidates for electron beam diagnostics for the International Linear Collider, x-ray free electron lasers and energy recovery linac due to its non-intercepting characteristics. We report the non-intercepting measurement of sub-ps electron bunch length with coherent diffraction radiation. The bunch length is measured with a Martin--Puplett interferometer and the detailed longitudinal bunch shape is reconstructed with the Kramers--Kronig relation. The rms bunch length is found to be about 0.73ps, which confirms a successful commissioning of the bunch compressor and the interferometer. 相似文献

Cherenkov terahertz radiation from Dirac semimetals surface plasmon polaritons excited by an electron beam 下载免费PDF全文
We demonstrate a physical mechanism for terahertz(THz) generation from surface plasmon polaritons(SPPs). In a structure with a bulk Dirac semimetals(BDSs) film deposited on a dielectric substrate, the energy of the asymmetric SPP mode can be significantly enhanced to cross the light line of the substrate due to the SPP-coupling between the interfaces of the film. Therefore, the SPPs can be immediately transformed into Cherenkov radiation without removing the wavevector mismatch. Additionally, the symmetric SPP mode can also be dramatically lifted to cross the substrate light line when a buffer layer with low permittivity relative to the substrate is introduced. In this case, dual-frequency THz radiation from the two SPP modes can be generated simultaneously. The radiation intensity is significantly enhanced by over two orders due to the field enhancement of the SPPs. The radiation frequency can be tuned in the THz frequency regime by adjusting the beam energy and the chemical potential of the BDSs. Our results could find potential applications in developing room temperature, tunable, coherent, and intense THz radiation sources to cover the entire THz band. 相似文献

利用相干衍射辐射(CDR)光学自相关技术在线无阻拦频域测量超短电子束团的长度是当前国际束测领域的研究热点. 文中分析和数值计算了利用上海应用物理研究所(SINAP)飞秒电子束装置提供的超短电子束团产生的宽带连续强CDR,介绍了超短电子束团长度测量的实验原理和装置示意,并研究了分束器对束团长度测量的影响. 结果表明,该束团可直接用于产生覆盖远红外至毫米波段的宽带连续强CDR;辐射能量主要集中在轴线附近,宏脉冲辐射能量可达毫焦耳量级;利用光学自相关技术研制的远红外Michelson干涉仪和Golay探测仪组成束团长度测量系统,通过实验测量CDR干涉图FWHM可近似求得超短束团长度;干涉图籍助傅立叶变换光谱法,可推算求得束团电子密度分布的信息. 相似文献

Diffraction radiation generated by relativistic particles passing through a slit in a tilted screen is proposed for nondestructive
particle beam diagnostics. For ultrarelativistic particles with the Lorentz factor γ≫1, simple relations are derived for the
field strength of diffraction radiation from a slit in a tilted perfectly conducting plane. It is shown that the total radiation
loss is proportional to γ. The effect of the initial beam divergence on the angular distribution pattern of diffraction radiation
is pointed out. A principal possibility of determining a beam divergence smaller than γ-1 is demonstrated when measuring the angular distribution of radiation with a constant wavelength.

IKNO (Innovation and KNOwledge) is a proposal for a multi‐user facility based on an electron storage ring optimized for the generation of coherent synchrotron radiation (CSR) in the terahertz frequency range, and of broadband incoherent synchrotron radiation ranging from the IR to the VUV. IKNO can be operated in an ultra‐stable CSR mode with photon flux in the terahertz frequency region up to nine orders of magnitude higher than in existing third‐generation light sources. Simultaneously to the CSR operation, broadband incoherent synchrotron radiation up to VUV frequencies is available at the beamline ports. The main characteristics of the IKNO storage and its performance in terms of CSR and incoherent synchrotron radiation are described in this paper. The proposed location for the infrastructure facility is Sardinia, Italy. 相似文献

In this article, we report the generation of terahertz (THz) radiation using the interaction of a laser‐modulated relativistic electron beam (REB) with a surface plasma wave. Two laser beams propagating through the modulator interact with the REB, leading to velocity modulation of the beam. This results in pre‐bunching of the REB. The pre‐bunched beam travels through the drift space, where the velocity modulation translates into density modulation. The density‐modulated beam, on interacting with the surface plasma pump wave, acquires an oscillatory velocity that couples with the modulated beam density to give rise to a nonlinear current density which acts as an antenna to give THz radiation. By optimizing the parameters of the beam and the wiggler, we obtain power of the order of 10−4 using the current scheme. 相似文献
