A dc electric field is utilized to steer the electron motion after the molecular ion H_2~+ is excited by an ultrashort ultraviolet laser pulse. The numerical simulation shows that the electron localization distribution and the dissociation control ratio are dependent on the polarization direction and amplitude of the dc electric field. Most electrons of the dissociation state move opposite to the dc electric field and stabilize at the dressed-up potential well, for the dressed-down well is occupied by the electrons of the 1 sσ_g state.  相似文献

The dynamic conductivity of graphene superlattice in the presence of ac electric field and dc electric field with longitudinal and transversal components with respect to superlattice axis was calculated. In the case of strong transversal component of dc field conductivity of graphene superlattice was shown to be such as if the electrons had got the effective mass. In the case of weak transversal component of dc field conductivity was shown to change its sign if the frequency of ac field was an integer multiple of half of Bloch frequency.  相似文献

We present an analytical study of wave spectra of electro-kinetic waves propagating through semiconductor plasma, whose main constituents are drifting electrons, holes and non-drifting negatively charged colloids. By employing the hydrodynamical model of multi-component plasma, a compact dispersion relation for the same is derived. This dispersion relation is used to study slow electro-kinetic wave phenomena and resultant instability numerically. We find some important modifications in the wave spectra of the slow electro-kinetic branch. It is found that the drift velocities of electrons and holes are responsible for converting two aperiodic modes into periodic ones. The applied dc electric field increases the phase velocities of contra-propagating modes. The amplification coefficients of propagating modes can be optimized by tuning the amplitude of applied electric field and wave number. It is hoped that the results of this investigation should be useful in understanding the wave spectra of slow electro-kinetic waves in ion-implanted semiconductor plasma subjected to a dc electric field along the direction of wave propagation.  相似文献

A dispersion relation for the ion-acoustic instability in a dc-discharge is derived. The dc electric field term in the linearized Vlasov-equation is not neglected, and the ion drift velocity is taken into account. Collisions of the electrons and ions with the neutrals are considered on the basis of a Davy-dov-collision term. The influence of the dc field and the ion drift leads to higher values of the spatial growth rates in the low frequency range and a shift of the maximum of the growth rates and the high frequency boundary of the unstable waves toward lower frequencies. The phase velocity diminishes, what is, above all, a result of the consideration of the ion drift velocity.  相似文献

采用相对论电磁粒子模拟程序研究了飞秒激光等离子体相互作用中产生的电流密度、电场和自生磁场的发展演化过程。介绍了电子的非局域热输运的基本特性以及激光加热过程中温度烧蚀前沿稠密等离子体子区的预热效应、临界面附近的限流效应,以及冕区的反扩散与限流效应,得到了经典Spitzer-Harm理论描述的电子热传导随自生磁场的演化情形。数值模拟表明:在线性强激光作用下,由于电子初始时刻的无规则热运动,在等离子体上激发电磁不稳定性,而不稳定性激发的强电磁场使电子束在非常短的距离内沉积能量,同时对在激光有质动力推开电子时形成的超热电子能量输运产生抑制作用。  相似文献

The stability effect that an RF electric field imposes on drift instabilities in a magnetized plasma, inhomogeneous in density and temperature, is investigated in the kinetic approximation, taking account of the finite ion Larmor radii. Stabilization of drift instabilities is examined in three frequency ranges:?/k? < ?th,i, ?th,i < ?/k? < ?th,e, and ?/k? > ?th,e, where k? is the component of the wave vector parallel to the applied dc magnetic field, and ?th, e and ?th, i are the electron and ion thermal speeds, respectively. It is found that stabilization is most effective for the medium phase-velocity range, where the drift instability, driven by streaming electrons, is strongest and sensitive to the ratio Ln/LT, where Ln and LT are the density and temperature gradient scale lengths, respectively.  相似文献

A theory of coherent resonance tunneling of electrons in a two-well nanostructure (TWNS) in the presence of a strong electromagnetic field is developed. The TWNS consists of two identical tunnel-coupled quantum wells to which a dc electric field is applied. Radiative transitions occur between two levels that arise due to the interwell interference and the dc electric field. The wavefunctions and polarization currents in the TWNS are found in the case of a strong electromagnetic field, and the oscillation power is determined as a function of the coherent pumping current and the parameters of the structure. It is shown that oscillations are possible in the relevant terahertz band, with fine frequency tuning by a dc field. It is found that the interference of electrons between quantum wells plays a crucial role. This interference significantly suppresses the effect of the electromagnetic field on the resonance tunneling and enhances the oscillation up to the highest possible level. It is proved that there exists an optimal regime of strong-field oscillations without inverse population and saturation, which are inherent in conventional lasers.  相似文献

It has been revealed that, as an external dc electric field is applied to graphene with the Hubbard interaction between electrons, a spontaneous electric field perpendicular to the applied field can appear. This effect can be due to the nonequilibrium electron subsystem in graphene. The spontaneous field characteristics have been found as a function of the parameters of the problem.  相似文献

The photorefractive response to an applied electric field is measured in a photorefractive quantum well, providing evidence in favor of the nonlinear transport in the device due to the hot electrons. The reduced mobility of the hot electrons limits the drift length, and thereby limits fringe overshoot. Thus the nonlinear transport prevents the slowing down of the grating writing rate for increasing fields which is common in bulk photorefractives. The photorefractive phase shift in transverse-field photorefractive quantum wells is measured as a function of the frequency offset between two laser writing beams that generate moving gratings. The two-wave mixing passes through a maximum at an optimum frequency which depends on the magnitude and the sign of the applied dc electric field. The phase shift associated with the moving grating adds or subtracts from the static phase shift induced by hot-electron transport in the semiconductor quantum wells, depending on the sign of the field and the sign of the dominant photocarriers. We observe a linear relationship between the roll-off frequency and the power of the writing beams. The electric field intensity distribution and the phase velocity distribution of high-order Laguerre–Gaussian (LGρ?) mode laser beams are analyzed. Using three-dimensional test particle simulation, the numerical results of electrons accelerated by LG00, LG40 and LG41 mode laser beams are presented. Compared with the LG00 mode (the fundamental mode) laser beam, low-energy injection electrons can be more favorably accelerated in a high-order LG mode laser beam. Contrary to anticipation, a high-order LG mode laser beam with intense axial electric field distribution is inferior to the LG00 mode in capture acceleration for electrons with high injection energy.  相似文献

We demonstrate theoretically the anisotropic quantum transport of electrons through an electric field on monolayer and multilayer phosphorene. Using the long-wavelength Hamiltonian with continuum approximation, we find that the transmission probability for transport through an electric field is an oscillating function of incident angle, electric field intensity, as well as the incident energy of electrons. By tuning the electric field intensity and incident angle, the channels can be transited from opaque to transparent. The conductance through the quantum waveguides depends sensitively on the transport direction because of the anisotropic effective mass, and the anisotropy of the conductance can be tuned by the electric field intensity and the number of layers. These behaviors provide us an efficient way to control the transport of phosphorene-based microstructures.  相似文献

A dc glow discharge with a closed Hall current in crossed electric and magnetic fields in helium is investigated. It is shown that the main features of an unmagnetized dc discharge [1] (such as the separation of the discharge into a space charge sheath and a quasineutral plasma, the formation of a cathode fall region and a negative glow, the appearance of a region with a reversed electric field producing a potential well for low-energy electrons and resulting in the formation of a Faraday dark space, and the formation of three pronounced groups of electrons in the electron distribution function) are also retained in a discharge in crossed fields. It is found that the sheath length is almost independent of the magnetic field, while the length of the negative glow region decreases appreciably with increasing magnetic field. The measured electron distribution function agrees well with the nonlocal theory, according to which the current in the Faraday dark space is carried by the intermediate electrons that are not trapped in the potential well and the energies of which are lower than the first excitation energy.  相似文献

采用单电子模型和经典辐射理论分别对低能和高能电子在线偏振激光驻波场中的运动和辐射过程进行了研究. 结果表明: 垂直于激光电场方向入射的低速电子在激光驻波场中随着光强的增大, 逐渐从一维近周期运动演变为二维折叠运动, 并产生强的微米量级波长的太赫兹辐射; 高能电子垂直或者平行于激光电场方向入射到激光驻波场中, 都会产生波长在几个纳米的高频辐射; 低能电子与激光驻波场作用中, 激光强度影响着电子的运动形式、辐射频率以及辐射强度; 高能电子入射时, 激光强度影响了电子高频辐射的强度, 电子初始能量影响着辐射的频率; 电子能量越高, 产生的辐射频率越大. 研究表明可以由激光加速电子的方式得到不同能量的电子束, 并利用电子束在激光驻波场的辐射使之成为太赫兹和X射线波段的小型辐射源. 研究结果可以为实验研究和利用激光驻波场中的电子辐射提供依据.  相似文献

Cyclotron resonance studies on the charge-density-wave metal NbSe3 at 2 Kelvin reveal two types of free carriers (with effective mass 03.18m0 and 0.71 m0 respectively.) The measured lifetimes agree with earlier estimates of the dc mobility. An unexplained shift of the resonance field of the form ω02 + ωc2 is observed when the laser electric field is polarized perpendicular to the chain direction.  相似文献

A systematic study of binding energy of the ground state of a hydrogenic donor in a quantum well is calculated in the presence of a uniform electric field for different measure of laser intensities. Binding energy of the ground state of a donor is calculated, within the effective mass approximation, with the Bessel and Airy functions. Polarizability of a laser dressed donor impurity in the presence of electric field is reported. It is observed that the polarizability (i) increases as intensity of the laser field increases (ii) increases with the electric field strength and (iii) increases drastically when both the fields are applied. The dependence of the donor binding energy on the well width, the laser field intensity and the electric field is discussed. Our results are in good agreement with the previous investigations for other heterostructures in the presence of laser intensity.  相似文献
