Three new thiacalix[4]arene derivatives, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-di(2-hydroxyethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxythiacalix-{}[4]arene (2), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-25, 26,27,28-tetrakis[(methylcarboxyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene (3),5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(2-hydroxy-1-propanoxy)thiacalix[4]arene (4), were synthesized for the first time. The coordination properties of thiacalix[4]arene(1) and its derivatives (2 and 4) were investigated by detecting the interactions betweenthese compounds and two palladium complexes, cis-[Pd(en)(H2O)2]2+ and cis-[Pd(dtco-3-OH)(H2O)2]2+, by means of electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) technique.  相似文献

The stability constants of alkali metal complexes obtained from the followingO-substituted calix[4]arenes were determined by UV/Vis spectroscopy inmethanol at 20°C: 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(diethylcarbamoylmethoxy)-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(cone-1), 25,27-syn-26,28-anti-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis(diethylcarbamoylmethoxy)-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene (paco-1),5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-diethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(cone-2) and25,27-syn-26,28-anti-5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-diethoxycarbonylmethoxy-26,28-bis(diphenylphosphinoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene(paco-2). All ligands form 1:1 complexes with alkali metal cations. The amide-containing calixarenes were found to be more efficient for alkali metalcomplexation than those bearing ester substituents. While sodium ions are selectivelycomplexed by the two mixed amide-(phosphine oxide) calixarenes, the twoester-containing isomers cone-2 and paco-2 turned out to be selective towards potassium and rubidium ions, respectively. With allfour ligands the lowest stability constants were found for the lithium andcesium ions.  相似文献

A novel thiacalix[4]arene ditopic receptor with 1,3-alternate conformation and possessing two complexation sites for hard and soft cations, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]-26,28-bis[(pyridylmethyl)oxy]-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene is prepared. Regioselective synthesis of distal-bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene is accomplished by a protection-deprotection method using benzyl groups as a protecting group. The deprotection of benzyl group was succeeded in the presence of solid superacid (Nafion-H) under refluxing benzene. Its complexation behavior is examined by 1H-NMR titration experiments. The formation of 1:2 homo- and heteronuclear complexes demonstrates that the preorganization, subtle conformational changes and affinity have a pronounced effect on the complexation of the receptor.  相似文献

The article describes the syntheses and complexation properties of new calixarene-based extractants, which have been synthesized from 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27-tris(chlorocarbonylmethoxy)-28-hydroxycalix[4]arene and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(chlorocarbonylmethoxy)calix[4]arene by treatment with isoniazid (isonicotinic acid hydrazide) in the presence of pyridine, respectively. p-tert-Butylcalix[4]arene teraamide was converted to its methyl iodide salt by refluxing with methyl iodide in acetonitrile. In this synthesis it was thought to explore the role of pyridinium sites in the extraction of HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions. The complexing properties of the extractants toward selected alkali/transition metal cations and HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions are reported. It has been observed that both receptors do not extract alkali metal cations but show excellent selectivity toward transition metals. The protonated pyridinium forms of the receptors are effective for transferring the HCr2O7/Cr2O72− anions from an aqueous into a dichloromethane layer.  相似文献

A series of novel double-armed calix[4]arene derivatives, i.e. 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl -25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(4-nitroazo)benzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxy-calix[4]-arene (4), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(2-nitroazo)benzylidene) amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (5), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[2-[(2-hydroxy-5-(4-chloroazo)benzylidene)amino]ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (6), have been synthesized as an selective chromoionophore for Na+. The complexation behavior of ligands 4-6 with alkali metal ions Na+, K+, Rb+and Cs+ has been evaluated by using UV-Vis spectrometry in CH3CN-H2O (99:1/V:V) solution at 25°C. The UV-Vis spectra show that the complexation of 4-6 with Na+exhibits obvious bathochromic shifts (λmax 379→480 nm) and there is a unique color change in the solution from yellow to red upon complexation. The binding constants for Na+ are higher than that of other alkali metal ions, giving the highest cation selectivity up to 7 for Na+/K+. The binding ability and photophysical behavior of alkali cations by calix[4]arene derivatives 4-6 are discussed from the point of view of substituted effects at the lower rim of parent calix[4]arene and size-fit concept between host calix[4]arenes and guest cations.  相似文献

New compound – 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(3-diethoxyphosphorylpropoxy)calix[4]arene was synthesized and its complexing properties were investigated using ion-selective membrane electrodes. The compound selectively recognizes lithium and calcium ions. Stability constants of the respective complexes formed within the membrane were determined.  相似文献

The structure of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis[N-(4′-nitrophenyl)aminocarbonylmethoxy] thiacalix[4]arene I was examined by 1D and 2D (NOESY) 1H and 13C NMR methods in a CDCl3 solution using numerical simulation (semi-empirical quantum-chemical calculations, PM3 method). Compound I was found to exist in the 1,2-alternate conformation, where bulky substituents OCH2C(O)· NHPhNO2 are in the endo-position relative to the macrocycle cavity.  相似文献

The article comprises synthesis and extraction studies of polymeric calix[4]arene having phthalimide groups at the lower rim. The polymeric phthalimido functionalized calix[4]arene was synthesized via radical initiated reactions involving a vinylic monomer 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25-[4-(acrylamido)benzyloxy]-26,28-bis-(2-phthalimido-ethoxy)-27-hydroxycalix[4]arene (5) with styrene. A five atom spacer group was incorporated between the bulky calixarene core and the acrylate moiety in order to minimize steric interactions which proved to impede the polymerization. From the liquid–liquid and solid–liquid extraction studies it has been concluded that the precursor 3 (5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25-(4-nitro benzyloxy)-26,28-bis-(3-phthalimidoethoxy)-27-hydroxy-calix[4]arene) is selective for metal cations. The order of extractability of metal cations by the ligand 3 decreases in the sequence: Hg2+ > Cd2+ > Cu2+ > K+ > Co2+ whereas its polymeric derivative is selective in the sequence: Hg2+ > Cd2+ > K+ > Co2+ > Cu2+ for the metal cations used in the experiments.  相似文献

The three conformations of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis[(benzoyl)methoxy]-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene 1: cone, partial cone and 1,3-alternate, were prepared by the treatment of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene-25,26,27,28-tetraol (TCA) with α-bromo acetophenone in the presence of appropriate alkali carbonate M2CO3 (M=Na, K, Cs) as base catalyst in acetonitrile. Structure of the conformers were established by 1H NMR, 1H-1H COSY, 1D NOE, 2D ROESY and X-ray experiments. The alkali cation binding selectivity of the obtained macrocycles was investigated by the ion-pair extraction method.  相似文献

The syntheses of samarium, holmium, and ytterbium complexes of a tris-amide calix[4]arene are described, and the resulting structures are compared with the previously reported gadolinium complex. The syntheses involved the reaction of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-24-hydroxy-26,27,28-tris(diethylcarbamoylmethoxy)calix[4]arene with the appropriate lanthanide picrate hydrate. Structural studies demonstrated that a picrate anion acts as a quasi-bidentate ligand with Sm (and Gd), is unidentate in the Ho complex, but is found in the second coordination sphere for the smallest lanthanide cation (Yb) investigated.  相似文献

Structures of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27-trihydroxy-28- and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26-dihydroxy-27,28-[N-(4′-nitrophenyl)aminocarbonylmethoxy]thiacalix[4]arenes (I, II) (solutions in CDCl3) were studied by 1H and 13C 1D and 2D (NOESY) NMR spectroscopy combined with the use of computational simulation (semiempirical quantum-chemical calculations, method PM3). Compound I was found to exists in the cone conformation, and the bulky substituent OCH2C(O)NHPhNO2, in contrast to the crystalline state, was located in the exo position to the macrocycle cavity; for compound II the cone conformation was observed, where the substituents are turned to the inside of the cavity of the macrocycle (endo position).  相似文献

In this study the selective derivatization of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene was carried out and two new p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene β-ketoimin, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis-3-methyl-[(β-ketoimine)-ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (4), and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis-3-chloro-[(β-ketoimine)-ethoxy]-26,28-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (5) have been synthesized. In the synthesis, the lower rim of p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene was modified in order to acquire binding site for the recognition of dichromate anion. It was observed that these ionophores 4 and 5 showed high affinity towards dichromate anion. The protonated Schiff-base forms of the receptors were effective for transferring the HCr2O7 ? anion from aqueous phase to a dichloromethane phase.  相似文献

Reaction of 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-dihydroxy-26,28-bis[{N-(2-diphenyl phosphino)phenyl}carboxyamidemethoxy]calix[4]arene with [Cu(CH3CN)4]ClO4 and Pt(COD)Cl2 gave two new complexes (1 and 2, respectively). As bifunctional reagents, bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzenes can react with p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene or p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene to afford intramolecularly bridged (1+1) or intermolecularly bridged (2+2) products. It was found that the bridging pattern strongly depended on the structure of bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzene and the kind of calixarene. For the ortho-isomer of bis(tosyloxyethoxy)benzene, intramolecularly bridged calix[4]arene and thiacalix[4]arene were the main products. For the para-isomer, the bridging reaction was in a (2+2) fashion. As for the meta-isomer, double thiacalix[4]arene and intramolecularly bridged calix[4]crown were synthesized.  相似文献

The article describes the synthesis and extraction properties of new (S)-(-)-1-phenylethylamine substituted p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene/calix[4]arene. These compounds have been synthesized via nucleophilic substitution reactions involving 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetra(2-hydroxyethoxy)calix[4]arene (4a), or 5,11,17,23-tetra-H-25,26,27,28-tetra(2-hydroxyethoxy)calix[4]arene (4b) with (S)-(-)-1-phenylethylamine in dry THF. The extraction properties of ligands 5a and 5b towards the some selected α-amino acid methylesters and chiral α-amines are also reported. It has been observed that receptor 5a was an excellent ionophore for α-amino acid methylesters/α-amines and good extractant than 5b. Ion-selective membrane electrodes doped with the urea- or thiourea-functionalised calix[4]arenes, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[[4-N′-(phenylureido)butyl]oxy]-26,28-dipropoxy calix[4]arene (I) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-bis[[4-(N′-phenylthioureido)-butyl]oxy]-26,28-dipropoxy calix[4]arene (II), were evaluated for anion sensing. Potentiometric results show that these calixarene ionophore-based membrane electrodes exhibit a good sensitivity to aqueous solutions of the monohydrogen orthophosphate species HPO42− in the concentration range 5.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−1 M, with near-Nernstian response slopes of −33.0 and −28.0 mV dec−1 for ionophores I and II, respectively. Selectivity coefficient values for monohydrogen orthophosphate over a range of common anions were determined by the fixed interference and matched potential methods and indicated that these membrane electrodes exhibit a good selectivity for HPO42− with respect to the other anions, including sulfate and nitrate.  相似文献

Abstract

Calorimetric titrations have been performed for the first time in anhydrous acetonitrile at 25°C to give the complex stability constant (K S) and thermodynamic quantities for the complexation of light lanthanoid(III) nitrates (La-Gd) with 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-26,28-bis(cyanomethoxy)-25,27-dihydroxy-calix[4]arene (1) and 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-26, 28-bis(2-aminoethoxy)-25,27-dihydroxycalix[4]arene (2). X-ray crystallographic structures of 1 and 2 were also determined and compared. Possessing the cyanomethoxy and aminoethyl substituents, 1 and 2 displayed strikingly different cation binding abilities and selectivity profiles with much higher K S values for La3+ and Ce3+, which may be related to the original structures in the solid state. Thus, the binding profile for 2 showed a rapid decrease in K S with decreasing ionic diameter from La3+ to Pr3+ and then became flat up to Gd3+, while 1 gave a very flat profile which is superimposable with that for 2 between Pr3+-Gd3+. Thermodynamically, the complexation is driven absolutely by enthalpy which compensates the entropic loss arising from the structural freezing of the calix[4]arene derivatives upon simultaneous binding of lanthanoid ion by the phenolic oxygen and acetonitrile molecule in the cavity. The general validity and the meaning of the compensative enthalpy-entropy relationship observed are discussed.  相似文献

Thiacalix[4]arene (5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxy-2,8,14,20-tetrathiacalix[4]arene) is an amphiphilic molecule comprising four p-tert-butylphenol-like groups ortho-linked by single sulfur atoms. This molecule has a high electron density area owing to the close proximity of the hydroxyl groups and sulfur atoms. We studied the applicability of this interesting compound as a selector for high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) thereby presumably exploiting this feature. Firstly, uniformly sized polymer particles were prepared by using a multi-step swelling and polymerization method with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) as a cross-linker. Methacrylic acid (MAA) was introduced onto the surface of the resulting polymer particles through a new modification method. Thiacalix[4]arene was chemically bonded through the MAA group by using 1,4-dibromobutane as a spacer to reduce steric hindrance around the MAA and the polymer particle itself. The performance of the prepared polymer-based thiacalix[4]arene-modified stationary phase was evaluated with HPLC. Specific chromatographic retention behavior was observed for catechol relative to positional isomers of xylene, cresol, and benzene-diol. Catecholamine and catechol showed specific chromatographic retention behavior.  相似文献

O,O″- and O,O′-bis(2-aminoethyl)-p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arenes of anti conformation have been prepared by the reduction of the corresponding O,O″- and O,O′-bis(cyanomethyl) ethers. Their syn-O,O″- and O,O′-counterparts have been prepared by alternative routes via the Mitsunobu reaction of thiacalix[4]arene with N-(2-hydroxyethyl)phthalimide and the reduction of a O,O′-disiloxanediyl-bridged O″,O?-bis(cyanomethyl) ether of 1,2-alternate conformation, respectively. These products are expected to serve as useful precursors of highly elaborated synthetic receptors, including biscalixarenes.  相似文献
