Triorganotin(IV) complexes of the type Me3Sn[OC(R1):CH(CH3)C:NR2OH] and Ph3Sn[OC(R′):CH(CH3)C:NR″OH] (R′ = ─CH3, ─C6H5; R″ = ─(CH2)2─, ─(CH2)3─) have been synthesized by the reactions of trimethyl/phenyltin(IV) chloride with the sodium salt of corresponding Schiff base ligands in unimolar ratio in refluxing tetrahydrofuran. All these compounds have been characterized using elemental analyses and their probable structures have been proposed on the basis of infrared, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 119Sn NMR and mass spectroscopic studies. In the trimethyltin(IV) derivatives the central tin atom is tetracoordinated, whereas in the analogous triphenyltin(IV)derivatives the central tin atom is pentacoordinated. All these ligands, metal precursors and corresponding triorganotin(IV) complexes have been screened for antimicrobial activities. A comparison of activities of the ligands and their corresponding triorganotin(IV) derivatives has been made. Attempts have also been made to relate the activity to the structure of these compounds.  相似文献

Di- and tri-organotin(IV) complexes of general formula R2SnAH, (R3Sn)2AH, R2SnB, (R3Sn)2B (A=dianion of mercaptosuccinic acid; B=dianion of thiodiacetic acid; R=Me, Et, nPr, nBu, nOct in R2Sn and nBu in R3Sn) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. These data support the preferential binding of sulphur over carboxylate by tin(IV) in R2SnAH and (R3Sn)2AH. R2SnAH complexes are assigned pentacoordinated bridged polymeric trigonal bipyramidal geometry whereas (R3Sn)2AH complexes are monomeric with trigonal bipyramidal geometry at tin arising from a bidentate carboxylate group at one tin atom and from weak bonding via Sn←O?C at the other tin atom. In R2SnB and (R3Sn)2B, tin(IV) binds to two carboxylate groups in a unidentate and a bidentate manner respectively, resulting in tetracoordinated and pentacoordinated structures. Potential uses of these compounds are discussed.  相似文献

Reactions of R2SnO (R: nBu, Cy, Ph, PhCH2) and R3SnCl (R: Ph, Cy, PhCH2, 2-Cl-PhCH2, 4-F-PhCH2, 4-Cl-PhCH2) with N-(4-carboxyphenyl)-salicylideneimine (LH2) in 1:1 stoichiometry afford complexes {[R2Sn(LH)]2O}2 and R3Sn(LH). These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. The crystal structures of {[nBu2Sn(LH)]2O}2, 1 and Ph3Sn(L), 5 are determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Results showed that in the solid state the complex 1 is a tetranuclear centrosymmetric dimer with six-coordination being assigned to both the endo-cyclic and exo-cyclic tin atoms after consideration of close intermolecular tin oxygen contacts, and study show that the imino nitrogen atom do not participate in coordination to the tin atom. The complex 5 is a monomer, and in the molecule the tin atoms are five-coordinated in trigonal bipyramidal geometries with the two oxygen atom of the carboxylate both coordinating to the tin atoms.  相似文献

A brief account is given of the synthesis and stereochemistry and the antibacterial, antifungal, nematicidal and insecticidal behaviour of organosilicon(IV) and organotin(IV) complexes of a biologically potent ligand, 2‐acetylfuransulfaguanidine. The unimolar and bimolar substitution products have been characterized by elemental analyses, conductance measurements, molecular weight determinations, and spectral studies, viz. IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, UV, 29Si NMR and 119Sn NMR spectra. The data support the binding of the nitrogen atom to the metal atom in R3M(NN), [R2M(NN)2 and R2M(NN)Cl [(R = Me/Ph and M = Si(IV) and Sn(IV)] types of complex. Based on these studies, with coordination number five and six a trigonal bipyramidal and an octahedral geometry have been proposed for the resulting derivatives. The free ligand (NNH) and its respective metal complexes were tested in vitro against a number of microorganisms to assess their antimicrobial properties. The results are indeed positive. In addition to these studies, the complexes also show good nematicidal and insecticidal properties. The results of these findings have been discussed in detail. The diorganotin(IV) dichlorides R2SnCl2 (R: Ph, PhCH2 or n‐Bu) react with 2‐mercapto‐6‐nitrobenzothiazole (MNBT) in benzene to give [Ph2SnCl(MNBT)] ( 1 ), [(PhCH2)2Sn(MNBT)2] ( 2 ) and [(n‐Bu)2Sn(MNBT)2] ( 3 ). The three complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis and IR, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR spectroscopies. X‐ray studies of the crystal structures of 1 , 2 and 3 show the following. The tin environment for complex 1 is distorted cis‐trigonal bipyramid with chlorine and nitrogen atoms in apical positions. The structure of complex 2 is a distorted octahedron with two benzyl groups in the axial sites. The geometry at the tin atom of complex 3 is that of an irregular octahedron. Interestingly, intra‐molecular non‐bonded Cl…S interactions and S…S interaction were recognized in the crystallographic structures of 1 and 3 respectively. As a result, complex 1 is a polymer and complex 3 is a dimer. Copyright © 2003 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

A series of organotin(IV) complexes with 2‐mercapto‐5‐methyl‐1,3,4‐thiadiazole (HL) of the type R3 Sn(L) (R = Me 1 ; Bu 2 ; Ph 3 ; PhCH2 4 ) and R2Sn(L)2 (R = CH3 5 ; Ph 6 ; PhCH2 7 ; Bu 8 ) have been synthesized. All complexes 1–8 were characterized by elemental analysis, IR,1H, 13 C, and 119Sn NMR spectra. Among these, complexes 1 , 3 , 4 , and 7 were also determined by X‐ray crystallography. The tin atoms of complexes 1 , 3 , and 4 are all penta‐coordinated and the geometries at tin atoms of complexes 3 and 4 are distorted trigonal–bipyramidal. Interestingly, complex 1 has formed a 1D polymeric chain through Sn and N intermolecular interactions. The tin atom of complex 7 is hexa‐coordinated and its geometry is distorted octahedral. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Three new organotin(IV) carboxylates of composition [(R)2Sn(O2CC6H4C‐OC6H4CH3)2] 1 , [(R)2Sn(O2CC6H4COC6H4‐C2H5)2]2 2 , and R3SnO2 CC6H4COC6H4CH3 3 , were obtained by reactions of (R)2SnO [R = o‐tolyl] with 2‐(4‐methyl benzoyl) benzoic acid and 2‐(4‐ethyl benzoyl) benzoic acid, and reaction of Cy3SnOH [Cy = cyclohexyl] with 2‐(4‐methyl benzoyl) benzoic acid, respectively. The complexes 1 , 2 and 3 have been characterized by elemental analysis, infrared (IR), 1HNMR, and X‐ray crystallography diffraction analyses. The complex 1 has two folded symmetrical structure; the tin atom in 1 is found to adopt a distorted toward skew‐trapezoidal bipyramidal geometry. Molecular structure of the complex 2 is centrosymmetric, and the internal tin atom is five‐coordinated and is in distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. The crystal structure of the complex 3 is found to exhibit distorted tetrahedral geometry. Pilot studies have indicated that the complexes 1 and 2 have shown good antitumor activities. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Bis(tributyltin) oxide or trimethyltin hydroxide react with carbon dioxide to afford the bis(trialkyltin) carbonates, (R3SnO)2CO; 119Sn NMR (in the case of R = Bu) or 119mSn Mössbauer spectroscopy show that these compounds contain 4- and 5-coordinate tin atom sites.  相似文献

A series of triorganotin (4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐4‐yl)benzoates have been synthesized by the reaction of 4‐(4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐4‐yl)benzoic acid and 3‐(4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐4‐yl)benzoic acid with (R3Sn)2O (R = Et, n‐Bu and Ph) or R′3SnOH (R′ = p‐tolyl and cyclohexyl). The molecular structure of tri(p‐tolyl)tin 3‐(4H‐1,2,4‐triazol‐4‐yl)benzoate determined by X‐ray crystallography displays that the tin atom adopts a five‐coordinate distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry with the carboxyl oxygen atom and the nitrogen atom on 1‐position of triazole ring occupying the apical position. Moreover, this complex forms a polymeric chain by the intermolecular Sn–N interactions. All these complexes show good antifungal activities in vitro against Alternaria solani, Cercospora arachidicola, Gibberella zeae, Physalospora piricola, and Botrytis cinerea. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Functionally substituted triorganotin halides V–IX of type R2Sn(X)(CH2)2P(O)PhR′ (R = Me, t-Bu; Rt? = OEt, t-Bu; X = Cl, Br) have been synthesized by halogen cleavage of the corresponding tetraorganotin compounds R2R2Sn(CH2)2P(O)PhR′ (R2 = Me or Ph), I–IV. The solid state structure of Me2Sn (Br) (CH2)2P(O)PhBu-t (IX), determined by X-ray diffraction, shows a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal structure at the tin atom, with intramolecular coordination of the PO group. Spectroscopic data are in agreement with such a structure in solution for compounds V–IX. Upon varying the temperature, concentration or solvent in solutions of compounds V–IX a stereoisomerization is observed. On the basis of NMR 1H, 13C, 31P, 119Sn), IR and conductivity studies, it is suggested that this stereoisomerization involves a hexacoordinated transition state at the tin atom.  相似文献

Two diorganotin(IV) complexes of the general formula R2Sn[Ph(O)CCH-C(Me)N-NC(O)Ph] (R=Ph, 1; R=Me, 2) have been synthesised from the corresponding diorganotin(IV) dichloride and the ligand 4-phenyl-2,4-butanedionebenzoylhydrazone(2−) (H2L), derived from benzoyl acetone and benzoyl hydrazide in methanol at room temperature in presence of triethylamine. The syntheses were performed under very mild conditions, at room temperature and without exclusion of air or moisture from the reaction vessel. Previously, rigorous conditions have been considered necessary for these species. The two compounds have been characterised by elemental analysis, IR and 1H, 13C, 15N, 119Sn NMR spectra, and their structures have been confirmed single crystal X-ray structure analysis. The central tin atom of both complexes adopts a distorted trigonal bipyramidal coordination with two ligand oxygen atoms in axial positions, the nitrogen atom of the ligand and two organic groups on tin occupying equatorial sites. 2 has crystallised with two crystallographically independent molecules in the asymmetric unit. The δ(119Sn) values for the complexes 1 and 2 are −151.5 and −146.8 ppm, respectively, thus indicating penta-coordinated tin centres.  相似文献

This study encompasses the synthesis and characterization of organotin(IV) derivatives of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug ibuprofen (IBF), viz. [(Me3Sn)(IBF)] ( 1 ), [(Bu3Sn)(IBF)] ( 2 ), [Ph3Sn(IBF)] ( 3 ), {[Me2Sn(IBF)]2O}2 ( 4 ) and [Bu2Sn(IBF)2] ( 5 ). The crystal structure of complex 3 , [Ph3Sn(IBF)], indicates a highly distorted tetrahedral (td) geometry with anisobidentate mode of coordination of the carboxylate group with tin atom, and a similar structure has been proposed for other two triorganotin(IV) derivatives. Moreover, the DFT (density functional theory) calculation and other studies have verified a dimer distannoxane type of structure for complex 4 , {[Me2Sn(IBF)]2O}2. Complex 5 has been found to exhibit a highly distorted octahedral geometry around the tin atom. To investigate the DNA binding profile of the synthesized complexes, viscosity measurement, UV–vis and fluorescence titrations were performed, which revealed an intercalative type of binding with DNA for IBF and complex 5 and external binding in case of the complexes 1 and 2 ; complexes 3 and 4 could not be studied owing to their insufficient solubility in tris buffer. Plasmid DNA fragmentation studies of IBF and complexes 1 , 2 and 5 indicate that they cleaved the pBR322 plasmid potentially. Further, the drugs IBF {2-[4-(2-methylpropyl)phenyl]propanoic acid}, MESNA (sodium 2-mercaptoethane-sulfonate), warfarin [2H-1-benzopyran-2-one,4-hydroxy-3-(3-oxo-1-phenylbutyl)], sulindac (2-{5-fluoro-1-[(4-methanesulfinylphenyl) methylidene]-2-methyl-1H-inden-3-yl}acetic acid) and their corresponding organotin(IV) complexes 1–19 (complexes 6–19 were synthesized/reported previously) were screened in vitro for cytotoxicity against human cancer cell lines viz. DU145 (prostate cancer), HCT-15 (colon adenocarcinoma), Caco-2 (colorectal adenocarcinoma), MCF-7 (mammary cancer), LNCaP (androgen-sensitive prostate adenocarcinoma) and HeLa (cervical cancer), through MTT reduction assay and the cause of cell death was investigated through acridine orange/ethidium bromide staining of cells and DNA fragmentation assay. The probable structure–cytotoxicity relationship is also discussed. The major role of apoptosis along with small necrosis was also validated by flow cytometry assay using annexin V–fluorescein isothiocyanate and propidium iodide analysis.  相似文献

Five new diorganotin N‐[(3‐methoxy‐2‐oxyphenyl)methylene] tyrosinates, R2Sn[2‐O‐3‐MeOC6H3CH=NCH (CH2C6H4OH‐4)COO] (R = Me, 1 ; Et, 2 ; Bu, 3 ; Cy, 4 ; Ph, 5 ), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, NMR (1H, 13C and 119Sn) spectra, and the X‐ray single crystal diffraction. In non‐coordinated solvent, complexes 1 – 5 have penta‐coordinated tin atom. In the solid state, 1 – 3 are centrosymmetric dimmers in which each tin atom is seven‐coordinated in a distorted pentagonal bipyramid, and 4 displays discrete molecular structure with distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry, and the tin atom of 5 is hexa‐coordinated and possess the distorted octahedral geometry with a coordinational methanol molecule. The intermolecular O‐H???O hydrogen bonds in 1 – 4 link molecules into the different one‐dimensional supramolecular chain with R22 (30) or R22 (20) macrocycles, and the molecules of 5 are joined into a two‐dimensional supramolecular network containing R44 (24) and R44 (28) two macrocycles. Bioassay results against human tumour cell HeLa indicated that 3 ‐ 5 belonged to the efficient cytostatic agents and the activity decreased in the order 4 > 3 > 5 > 2 > 1. The fluorescence determinations show the complexes may be explored for potential luminescent materials.  相似文献

Three mononuclear organotin(IV) complexes supported by Schiff bases have been synthesized. The complexes [(C6H5)2Sn(L)] ( 1 ), [(t‐Bu)2Sn(L)] ( 2 ) and [(t‐Bu)2Sn(L')] ( 3 ) (L, L' = deprotonated Schiff bases) were obtained in good yield by the reaction of Schiff bases H 2 L or H 2 L′ with corresponding diorganotin dichlorides respectively. All newly synthesized complexes were characterized by means of FT‐IR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and multinuclear (1H, 13C and 119Sn) NMR spectroscopy. In addition, single crystal X‐ray diffraction analyses were employed to establish the solid state molecular structures of these complexes. The structures of 1 – 3 reveal that all complexes are mononuclear with a five‐coordinated tin(IV) centre in it. The absorption and emission properties of all complexes have been investigated. Moreover, cytotoxicity and fluorescence cell imaging studies of theses complexes have been performed.  相似文献

The diorganotin(IV) and triorganotin(IV) derivatives R2SnA (R = Me, n-Pr, n-Bu, n-Oct) and (R3Sn)2A [R = Me, Ph, cyclohexyl (Cyh); A = an anion of diphenic acid] have been prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopies. Tetrahedral tin forms a part of a diphenate cyclic ring in the diorganotin complexes with unidentate carboxylates, which have further been used for the synthesis of cyclic acid anhydrides. The soluble dinuclear triorganotin complexes (Me, Ph) possess symmetrically bonded carboxylates while the less soluble compound (Cyh3Sn)2A has two asymmetrically bonded carboxylates. All have a trigonal bipyramidal structure with R3Sn units remote from each other.  相似文献

Diorganotin (IV) complexes (1, 2, 3, 4), of the general formula R2Sn(L)m have been synthesized where R = n-But, n-Oct; m = 2 when L1 = N-[(Z)-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzylidene)pyrazine-2-carboxamide and m = 1 when L2 = [3,4-bis-{[(E)-(2-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl) methylidene]amino}phenyl](phenyl)meth-anone. The prepared Schiff bases and diorganotin complexes have been characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, and NMR (1H, 13C, and 119Sn) spectroscopic studies. The molecular geometry, thermochemical values, and vibrational frequencies of two complexes in the ground state were calculated using the B3LYP density functional method with LANL2DZ basis set for Sn using Gaussian 09 software. A good correlation of theoretical and experimental results shows that in both the complexes the geometry around the central tin atom is tetrahedral. The studies were further extended to test and compare the in vitro cytotoxic activity of ligands and complexes against MCF-7 cell line by MTT assay. The IC50 values show that cytotoxic activity of ligands increased on complexation with tin metal.  相似文献

Four new complexes, [Ph3Sn(isopropylACDA)] (1), [Ph2SnCl(isopropylACDA)] (2), [Ph3Sn(secbutylACDA)] (3), and [Ph2SnCl(secbutylACDA)] (4), have been prepared from reaction between N-alkylated 2-amino-1-cyclopentene-1-carbodithioic acids (ACDA) with Ph2SnCl2 and Ph3SnCl in 1:1 ratio. All complexes are characterized by FTIR, multinuclear NMR (1H, 13C, and 119Sn) and mass spectrometry. In all complexes, the S–H proton has been removed and coordination takes place through the carbodithioate moiety. The 119Sn NMR data are consistent with five coordination of tin atom in solution. Complexes 2, 3, and 4 have also been confirmed by single X-ray crystallography. All three crystals are triclinic with space group P − 1. In complexes 2 and 4, the geometry around tin atom is distorted trigonal bipyramidal while in 3 the geometry is in between distorted tetrahedral and trigonal bipyramid. In all three structures, ligands are asymmetrically coordinated to tin atom. In addition, crystal structures are further stabilized by N–H···S hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

The gas‐phase interactions of cysteine with di‐organotin and tri‐organotin compounds have been studied by mass spectrometry experiments and quantum calculations. Positive‐ion electrospray spectra show that the interaction of di‐ and tri‐organotins with cysteine results in the formation of [(R)2Sn(Cys‐H)]+ and [(R)3Sn(Cys)]+ ions, respectively. MS/MS spectra of [(R)2Sn(Cys‐H)]+ complexes are characterized by numerous fragmentation processes, notably associated with elimination of NH3 and (C,H2,O2). Several dissociation routes are characteristic of each given organic species. Upon collision, both the [(R)3Sn(Gly)]+ and [(R)3Sn(Cys)]+ complexes are associated with elimination of the intact amino acid, leading to the formation of [(R)3Sn]+ cation. But for the latter complex, two additional fragmentation processes are observed, associated with the elimination of NH3 and C3H4O2S. Calculations indicate that the interaction between organotins and cysteine is predominantly electrostatic but also exhibits a considerable covalent character, which is slightly more pronounced in tri‐organotin complexes. A preferred bidentate interaction of the type ‐η2‐S‐NH2, with sulfur and the amino group, is observed. As for the [(R)3Sn(Cys)]+ complexes, their stability is due to the combination of the hydrogen bond taking place between the amino group and the sulfur lone pair and the interaction between the carboxylic oxygen atom and the metal. The diorganotin(IV) complexes of methyl 2‐{4‐hydroxy‐3‐[(2‐hydroxy‐phenylimino)‐methyl]‐phenylazo}‐benzoate (H2L) were obtained by the reaction of ortho‐aminophenol, R2SnO (R = Me, nBu, or Ph) and methyl 2‐[(E)‐(3‐formyl‐4‐hydroxy)diazenyl]benzoate (H2PL2) in ethanol, which led to diorganotin(IV) compounds of composition [Me2SnL]2 ( 1 ), nBu2SnL ( 2 ), and Ph2SnL ( 3 ) in good yield. The 1H, 13C, and 119Sn NMR, IR, the mass spectrometry along with elemental analyses allowed establishing the structure of ligand (H2L) and compounds 1–3 . In all the three cases, 119Sn chemical shifts are indicators of five‐coordinated Sn atoms in a solution state. The crystal structures of ligand H2L and complexes 1 and 2 were determined by a single crystal X‐ray diffraction study. In the solid state, the ligand H2L exists as a keto‐enamine tautomeric form. The molecular structure of complex 1 in the solid state shows a distorted octahedral geometry around a tin atom due to additional coordination with an oxygen atom from a neighboring molecule leading to a four‐membered ring with Sn‐O···Sn‐O intermolecular coordination, leading to a dimeric species. On the other hand, complex 2 is a monomer with trigonal bipyramidal geometry surrounding the tin atom. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The organotin(IV) chlorides RnSnCl4−n (n = 3, R = Ph, PhCH2, n−Bu; and n =2, R = n−Bu, Ph, PhCH2) react with 4,4′‐bipyridine (4′4‐bpy) to give [(Ph3SnCl)2(4,4′‐bpy)1.5(C6H6)0.5] ( 1 ), [(PhCH2)3‐ SnCl]2 (4,4′‐bpy) ( 2 ), [(n−Bu)3SnCl]2(4,4′‐bpy) ( 3 ), [(n−Bu)2SnCl2(4,4′‐bpy)] ( 4 ), [Ph2SnCl2(4,4′‐bpy)] ( 5 ), and [(PhCH2)2SnCl2(4,4′‐bpy)] ( 6 ). The new complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, 13C, 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. The structures of ( 1 ), ( 2 ), ( 4 ), and ( 6 ) have been determined by X‐ray crystallography. Crystal structures of ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) show that the coordination number of tin is five. In complex ( 1 ), two different molecules exist: one is a binuclear molecule bridged by 4,4′‐bpy and another is a mononuclear one, only one N of 4,4′‐bpy coordinate to tin. Complex ( 2 ) contains an infinite 1‐D polymeric binuclear chain by weak Sn…Cl intermolecular interactions with neighboring molecules. In the complexes ( 4 ) and ( 6 ), the tin is six‐coordinate, and the 4,4′‐bpy moieties bridge adjacent dialkyltin(IV)dichloride molecules to form a linear chain. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
