We investigate a domain structure of pseudospins, a soliton lattice in the bilayer quantum Hall state at total Landau level filling factor nu = 1, in a tilted magnetic field, where the pseudospin represents the layer degree of freedom. An anomalous peak in the magnetoresistance Rxx appears at the transition point between the commensurate and incommensurate phases. The Rxx at the peak is highly anisotropic for the angle between the in-plain magnetic field B parallel and the current, and indicates a formation of the soliton lattice aligned parallel to B parallel. The temperature dependence of the Rxx peak reveals that the dissipation is caused by thermal fluctuations of pseudospin solitons. We also study a phase diagram of the bilayer nu = 1 system, and the effects of density imbalance between the two layers.  相似文献

At low Landau level filling of a two-dimensional electron system, typically associated with the formation of an electron crystal, we observe local minima in Rxx at filling factors nu = 2/11, 3/17, 3/19, 2/13, 1/7, 2/15, 2/17, and 1/9. Each of these developing fractional quantum Hall (FQHE) states appears only above a filling-factor-specific temperature. This can be interpreted as the melting of an electron crystal and subsequent FQHE liquid formation. The observed sequence of FQHE states follows the series of composite fermion states emanating from nu = 1/6 and nu = 1/8.  相似文献

The volborthite compound is one of the very few realizations of S=1/2 quantum spins on a highly frustrated kagomé-like lattice. Low-T SQUID measurements reveal a broad magnetic transition below 2 K which is further confirmed by a peak in the 51V nuclear spin relaxation rate (1/T1) at 1.4 K +/- 0.2 K. Through 51V NMR, the ground state (GS) appears to be a mixture of different spin configurations, among which 20% corresponds to a well defined short-range order, possibly of the sqrt(3) x sqrt(3) type. While the freezing involves all the Cu2+ spins, only 40% of the copper moment is actually frozen which suggests that quantum fluctuations strongly renormalize the GS.  相似文献

The density driven quantum phase transition between the unpolarized and fully spin polarized nu = 2/3 fractional quantum Hall state is accompanied by hysteresis in accord with 2D Ising ferromagnetism and domain formation. The temporal behavior is reminiscent of the Barkhausen and time-logarithmic magnetic after-effects ubiquitous in familiar ferromagnets. It too suggests domain morphology and, in conjunction with NMR, intricate domain dynamics, which is partly mediated by the contact hyperfine interaction with nuclear spins of the host semiconductor.  相似文献

We propose a method for laser cooling group-II-like atoms without changing the quantum state of their nuclear spins, thus preserving coherences that are usually destroyed by optical pumping in the cooling process. As group-II-like atoms have a (1)S(0) closed-shell ground state, nuclear spin and electronic angular momentum are decoupled, allowing for their independent manipulation. The hyperfine interaction that couples these degrees of freedom in excited states can be suppressed through the application of external magnetic fields. Our protocol employs resolved-sideband cooling on the forbidden clock transition, (1)S(0) --> (3)P(0), with quenching via coupling to the rapidly decaying (1)P(1) state, deep in the Paschen-Back regime. This makes it possible to laser cool neutral atomic qubits without destroying the quantum information stored in their nuclear spins, as shown in two examples, (171)Yb and (87)Sr.  相似文献

利用傅里叶红外光谱研究了20例正常人和3例鼻咽癌患者手指甲的红外光谱,结果表明:癌指甲样品与正常指甲样品的红外光谱在峰形、峰强度、峰频率等方面均存在明显差异;它们的最大区别是:酰氨Ⅱ带峰形的变化,δs(CH3)峰的消失,以及874.0 cm-1附近有无吸收峰。还着重研究了磷酸二酯基团的对称和反对称伸缩振动;以及C—O基团伸缩振动峰的变化。并从蛋白质、核酸氢键的角度以及膜脂碳氢链排列及构像变化角度等方面分析了发生变化的原因。磷酸二酯基团的对称伸缩振动峰呈现有规律的变化, 即癌样品由1 080.0位移到1 077.6 cm-1, 反对称伸缩振动由1 239.4位移到1 238.4 cm-1, 表明指甲核酸分子内磷酸二酯键骨架的结构发生了改变。另外, 膜脂分子中的CH2弯曲振动 δ(CH2)的波数也有些改变, 即癌样品由1 453.1位移到1 453.7 cm-1。而且,峰的强度也有所增强, 说明癌患者指甲的膜脂中亚甲基链的无序状态较正常人的大。  相似文献

A general theory of spin-lattice nuclear relaxation of spins I=1/2 caused by dipole-dipole couplings to quadrupole spins S1, characterized by a non-zero averaged (static) quadrupole coupling, is presented. In multispin systems containing quadrupolar and dipolar nuclei, transitions of spins 1/2 leading to their relaxation are associated through dipole-dipole couplings with certain transitions of quadrupole spins. The averaged quadrupole coupling attributes to the energy level structure of the quadrupole spin and influences in this manner relaxation processes of the spin 1/2. Typically, quadrupole spins exhibit also a complex multiexponential relaxation sensed by the dipolar spin as an additional modulation of the mutual dipole-dipole coupling. The proposed model includes both effects and is valid for an arbitrary magnetic field and an arbitrary quadrupole spin quantum number. The theory is applied to interpret fluorine relaxation profiles in LaF3 ionic crystals. The obtained results are compared with predictions of the 'classical' Solomon relaxation theory.  相似文献

High-resolution, infrared absorption spectra of the nu6 (asymmetric C-H stretch) and 2nu2 (H-C-H symmetric bend overtone) bands of jet-cooled CH2F2 are reported with a sub-Doppler resolution of approximately 0.002 cm-1. More than 600 transitions were observed in the range of 3002-3036 cm-1, of which 268 were assigned the nu6 fundamental and 184 were assigned to the 2nu2 overtone. A fit of the nu6 band to the A-reduced Watson Hamiltonian yielded eight effective constants including nu0 = 3014.0503(1), A' = 1.62868(4), B' = 0.354165(5), and C' = 0.308852(3) cm-1. Similarly, the weaker 2nu2 band was fit to seven parameters including nu0 = 3026.2297(2), and A' = 1.63396(6), B' = 0.35367(1), and C' = 0.31183(1) cm-1. Numbers in parentheses are two standard deviations in units of the last digit. Anomalous values of the A rotational constant and the DeltaK centrifugal distortion constant are attributed to an a-axis Coriolis interaction between the 2nu2 and nu6 bands. High-resolution infrared spectra of the nu(1) and nu(2) bands of DCCCl were observed using Bruker IFS 120HR Fourier transform spectrometers at resolutions of 0.0044 and 0.0035 cm(-1), respectively. For the DCC(35)Cl isotopomer, the nu(1) as well as the nu(2) band was found to be heavily perturbed. Detailed analyses revealed that the nu(1) state is in resonance with the l=0 substate of the nu(3)+4nu(4) state and that the nu(2) state is in resonance with the l=0 substate of the nu(3)+4nu(5) state. The rotational constants played a key role in identifying the perturbing states. In contrast, for the DCC(37)Cl isotopomer, the rotational structures of the nu(1) and nu(2) states are almost regular but slightly perturbed by interactions with the nu(3)+4nu(4) and nu(3)+4nu(5) states, respectively. The constants of resonances as well as the molecular constants for the nu(1), nu(2), nu(3)+4nu(4) and nu(3)+4nu(5) states were determined. Copyright 2001 Academic Press.  相似文献

合成了α Na7H[GaW9Fe3 (H2 O) 3 O3 7]·16H2 O(简写为α GaW9Fe3 ,以下类同 )通过红外、紫外、元素分析、光电子能谱、极谱等手段进行了表征 ,并对该配合物的红外、紫外、元素分析、光电子能谱进行分析。配合物的红外光谱都出现了Keggin杂多阴离子所具有的νas(W—Oa—W ) ,νas(W—Ob—W ) ,νas(W—Oc—W) 和νas(W—Od—W ) 四种基本特征振动峰 ,表明所合成配合物也具有Keggin结构。所合成的配合物的紫外光谱都在2 10和 2 6 8nm附近有两个荷移跃迁带 ,分别对应于Od—W的 pπ dπ 荷移跃迁和Ob/Oc的 pπ dπ 荷移跃迁。Ob/Oc 的 pπ dπ荷移跃迁为特征吸收峰。GaW9和GaW9Fe3 都有一个 4电子还原波 ,且E1/ 2 比GaW9更负 ,因此所合成的配合物GaW9Fe3 为α体。GaW9Fe3 室温的磁矩比有效磁矩纯自旋值 6 0 3× 10 -2 3 A·m2 低 ,这暗示了杂多阴离子的三金属簇中 3个铁原子间存在反铁磁性自旋交换作用。对M ssbauer谱进行了分析 ,铁与桥氧之间形成了d pπ键 ,铁的d轨道与桥氧的 p轨道发生了重叠 ,p ,d电子之间产生了反磁性交换。因此M ssbauer谱是研究配合物磁性的有效手段。对该配合物的红外、紫外、光电子能谱、M ssbauer谱进行分析。为深入研究磁性与配合物结构的关系 ,为进一步研究其作为功能材  相似文献

For the first time, high-resolution Fourier transform spectra of HDSe in the region of the three polyads, nu(1)/2nu(2), nu(1) + nu(2)/3nu(2), and 2nu(1)/nu(1) + 2nu(2)/nu(2) + nu(3), have been recorded and analyzed. Combined with an earlier investigation of the nu(2) band, and including estimates for the unobserved "dark" 4nu(2) band, these levels were subjected to a "Global Fit," which makes use of relations between parameters within the different polyads. Since there are five isotopic species present in natural HD(M)Se (M = 82, 80, 78, 77, 76), altogether 34 vibration-rotation bands have been studied in the present contribution. The parameters determined by the Global Fit reproduce upper vibrational-rotational energies of all these bands with accuracies close to experimental precision. Optically pumped nuclear magnetic resonance measurements of 71Ga spectra were carried out in an n-doped GaAs/Al(0.1)Ga0.9As multiple quantum well sample near the integer quantum Hall ground state nu = 1. As the temperature is lowered (down to T approximately 0.3 K), a "tilted plateau" emerges in the Knight shift data, which is a novel experimental signature of quasiparticle localization. The dependence of the spectra on both T and nu suggests that the localization is a collective process. The frozen limit spectra appear to rule out a 2D lattice of conventional Skyrmions.  相似文献

The average electron spin polarization Rho of a two-dimensional electron gas confined in GaAs/GaAlAs multiple quantum wells was measured by NMR near the fractional quantum Hall state with filling factor nu = 2/3. Above this filling factor (2/3< or = nu < 0.85), a strong depolarization is observed corresponding to two spin flips per additional flux quantum. The most remarkable behavior of the polarization is observed at nu = 2/3, where a quantum phase transition from a partially polarized (Rho approximately 3/4) to a fully polarized (Rho = 1) state can be driven by increasing the ratio between the Zeeman and the Coulomb energy above a critical value eta(c) = Delta(Z)/Delta(C) = 0.0185.  相似文献

The Heisenberg model of ferromagnet, which contains nuclear spins interacting with electronic spins of own atoms by means of hyperfine interaction, is considered. A nonlinear evolution equation for collective nuclear spin z-component is obtained for the initial condition with the inverted nuclear spins (of the value 1/2). We study the voter model on heterogeneous graphs. We exploit the nonconservation of the magnetization to characterize how consensus is reached. For a network of N nodes with an arbitrary but uncorrelated degree distribution, the mean time to reach consensus T(N) scales as Nmu(2)1/mu(2), where mu(k) is the kth moment of the degree distribution. For a power-law degree distribution n(k) approximately k(-nu), T(N) thus scales as N for nu > 3, as N/ln(N for nu = 3, as N((2nu-4)/(nu-1)) for 2 < nu < 3, as (lnN)2 for nu = 2, and as omicron(1) for nu < 2. These results agree with simulation data for networks with both uncorrelated and correlated node degrees.  相似文献

The nu(2) (nu(eff.) 854.841 cm(-1)) and 2nu(3) infrared bands (nu(eff.) 840.083 cm(-1)) of DSiF(3) have been studied with a resolution of 2.5 x 10(-3) cm(-1). Moreover, millimeter-wave transitions in the v(2) = 1 and v(3) = 2 states up to J" = 33 have been measured. The assignments and fit of the poorly resolved, compressed cluster-type 2nu(3) IR transitions have been confirmed by a simultaneous study of the 2nu(3)-nu(3) band. The constant W = 5.116 cm(-1) of the Fermi interaction between the v(2) = 1 and v(3) = 2 levels has been determined from frequency effects which are in agreement with relative intensities of the nu(2) and 2nu(3) bands. The deperturbed (B(0) - B(v)) and (C(0) - C(v)) values of the states involved agree with their ab initio predictions within 7% in the worst case. Copyright 2001 Academic Press.  相似文献

We study a model of hard-core bosons with short-range repulsive interactions at half filling on the kagome lattice. Using quantum Monte Carlo numerics, we find that this model shows a continuous superfluid-insulator quantum phase transition, with exponents z=1 and nu approximately 0.67(5). The insulator, I*, exhibits short-ranged density and bond correlations, topological order, and exponentially decaying spatial vison correlations, all of which point to a Z2 fractionalized phase. We estimate the vison gap in I* from the temperature dependence of the energy. Our results, together with the equivalence between hard-core bosons and S=1/2 spins, provide compelling evidence for a spin-liquid phase in an easy-axis spin-1/2 model with no special conservation laws.  相似文献
