It is established that, for ergodic dynamical systems, upper estimates for the decay of large deviations of ergodic averages for (non-Hölder) continuous almost everywhere averaged functions have the same asymptotics as in the Hölder continuous case. The results are applied to obtaining the corresponding estimates for large deviations and rates of convergence in the Birkhoff ergodic theorem with non-Hölder averaged functions in certain popular chaotic billiards, such as the Bunimovich stadiums and the planar periodic Lorentz gas.  相似文献

The paper is concerned with the application of Kantorovich-type majorants for the convergence of Newton’s method to a locally unique solution of a nonlinear equation in a Banach space setting. The Fréchet-derivative of the operator involved satisfies only a rather weak continuity condition. Using our new idea of recurrent functions, we obtain sufficient convergence conditions, as well as error estimates. The results compare favorably to earlier ones (Ezquerro, Hernández in IMA J. Numer. Anal. 22:187–205, 2002 and Proinov in J. Complex. 26:3–42, 2010).  相似文献

We impose a condition on a commutative regular Fréchet algebra (A, (pm )) to ensure that A/kerpm is a Fréchet Q-algebra. This implies that if θ is an n-homomorphism on certain Fréchet algebras (A, (pm )) into semisimple commutative Fréchet algebras (B,(qm)) such that θ(kerpm) ? kerqm, for large enough m, then θ is continuous. We also show that if A is a Fréchet Q-algebra, B is a semisimple Fréchet algebra, θ: AB is a dense range n-homomorphism such that θ(A) is factorizable, and the spectral radius vB is continuous on the separating space (θ), then θ is automatically continuous.  相似文献

We consider multivalued maps between Ω ? ?N open (N ≥ 2) and a smooth, compact Riemannian manifold 𝒩 locally minimizing the Dirichlet energy. An interior partial Hölder regularity results in the spirit of R. Schoen and K. Uhlenbeck is presented. Consequently a minimizer is Hölder continuous outside a set of Hausdorff dimension at most N ? 3. Almgren's original theory includes a global interior Hölder continuity result if the minimizers are valued into some ?m. We show that if \(n\ge 3\) and \(u\in C^{2}(\mathbb {B}^{n},{\mathbb R}^n) \cap C(\overline{\mathbb {B}^{n}},{\mathbb R}^n )\) is a solution to the hyperbolic Poisson equation, then it has the representation \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{ h}[\psi ]\) provided that \(u\mid _{\mathbb {S}^{n-1}}=\phi \) and \(\int _{\mathbb {B}^{n}}(1-|x|^{2})^{n-1} |\psi (x)|\,d\tau (x)<\infty \). Here \(P_{h}\) and \(G_{h}\) denote Poisson and Green integrals with respect to \(\Delta _{h}\), respectively. Furthermore, we prove that functions of the form \(u=P_{h}[\phi ]-G_{h}[\psi ]\) are Lipschitz continuous.

We study the regularity of vector-valued local minimizers in $ W^{1,p}, p > 1 $, of the integral functional where is an open set in $ \mathbb{R}^N $ and f is a continuous function, convex with respect to the last variable, such that $ 0 \leq f(x,u,t)\leq C(1+t^p) $.We prove that if f = f(x, t), or f = f(x, u, t) and $ p \leq N $, then local minimizers are locally Hölder continuous for any exponent less than 1. We show that if a Fano manifold M is K-stable with respect to special degenerations equivariant under a compact group of automorphisms, then M admits a Kähler–Einstein metric. This is a strengthening of the solution of the Yau–Tian–Donaldson conjecture for Fano manifolds by Chen–Donaldson–Sun (Int Math Res Not (8):2119–2125, 2014), and can be used to obtain new examples of Kähler–Einstein manifolds. We also give analogous results for twisted Kähler–Einstein metrics and Kahler–Ricci solitons.  相似文献

First we prove that the approximative compactness of a nonempty set C in a normed linear space can be reformulated equivalently in another way.It is known that if C is a semi-Chebyshev closed and approximately compact set in a Banach space X,then the metric projectorπC from X onto C is continuous.Under the assumption that X is midpoint locally uniformly rotund,we prove that the approximative compactness of C is also necessary for the continuity of the projectorπC by the method of geometry of Banach spaces.Using this general result we find some necessary and sufficient conditions for T to have a continuous Moore-Penrose metric generalized inverse T~ ,where T is a bounded linear operator from an approximative compact and a rotund Banach space X into a midpoint locally uniformly rotund Banach space Y.  相似文献
