Two new complexes, [Co(L)2]Cl·(MeOH)2 (1) and [Ni(L)2]4·EtOH (2) (L?=?(E)-2-(amino((pyridin-2-ylmethylene)amino)methylene)maleonitrile), were synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography, IR, UV, and fluorescence spectroscopy. According to X-ray crystallographic studies, each metal was six-coordinate with six nitrogens from two ligands. Both complexes form two-dimensional supramolecular networks via hydrogen bonding and π–π interactions. Ultraviolet and visible spectra showed that absorptions arise from π–π ?, MLCT, and dd electron transitions. Fluorescence spectroscopy revealed moderate intercalative binding of these two complexes with EB–DNA, with apparent binding constant (K app) values of 9.14?×?105 and 3.20?×?105?M?1 for Co(III) and Ni(II) complexes, respectively. UV–visible absorption spectra showed that the absorption of DNA at 260?nm was quenched for 2 but quenched then improved for 1 with addition of complexes, tentatively attributed to the effect of the combined intercalative binding and electrostatic interaction for 1.  相似文献

A new bidisplaced acetate functionalized pendant arm derivative, 1,4-diacetate-1,4,7-triazacyclodecane (L) and its corresponding Co(III), Fe(III) complexes [CoLCl] (1) and [FeLCl]2 · 3H2O (2) were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra,UV–Vis spectra, HNMR, MS, XPRD, TGA and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The crystal structure shows the metal ions in the complexes have similar coordination six-coordinate, by three nitrogens and two oxygens of the chelate ligand, and a chloride. Through calculation of the twist angle, we discover 1 forms a distorted octahedral geometry while 2 forms a distorted-prismatic geometry. In 2, there are abundant hydrogen bonds between the oxygen atoms of water and the nitrogens and oxygens of the ligand, resulting in a two-dimensional supramolecular network with a regular triatomic water cluster. The thermal gravimetric analyses of the two complexes are also given.  相似文献

Seven new mononuclear complexes have been synthesized from 2,4-diiodo-6-propyliminomethyl-phenol in pyridine and Cu(OAc)2 · H2O, Ni(OAc)2 · 4H2O, Co(OAc)2 · 4H2O, Zn(OAc)2 · 2H2O, Cd(OAc)2 · 2H2O, Mn(OAc)2 · 4H2O, and Hg(OAc)2. The complexes were characterized by UV, IR, ESI-MS, and elemental analyses; bis(2,4-diiodo-6-propyliminomethyl-phenol)-pyridine-copper(II) (1) was characterized by X-ray crystallography. The central metal in each complex is five-coordinate by two nitrogens and two oxygens from two 3,5-diiodosalicylaldehyde Schiff-base ligands and one nitrogen from pyridine. The 3,5-diiodosalicylaldehyde Schiff base is bidentate. All the complexes were assayed for antibacterial (Bacillus subtilis, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, and Enterobacter cloacae) activities by the MTT method. Complex 1 showed the most favorable antimicrobial activity with minimum inhibitory concentrations of 6.25, 3.125, 6.25, 3.125, 6.25, 3.125 µg mL?1 against B. subtilis, S. aureus, S. faecalis, P. aeruginosa, E. coli, and E. cloacae, respectively.  相似文献

Novel mononuclear oxovanadium(IV) and manganese(III) complexes [VO(L1)2·H2O] (1); [VO(L2)2·H2O] (2); [VO(L3)2·H2O] (3); [Mn(L1)2]ClO4·H2O (4); [Mn(L2)2] ClO4·H2O (5); [Mn(L3)2]ClO4·H2O (6) were prepared by condensation of 1 mol of VOSO4·5H2O or Mn(OAc)3· 2H2O with 2 mol of ligand HL1, HL2 or HL3 (where HL1 = 4-[(2-hydroxy-ethylamino)-methylene]-5-methyl-2- phenyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one; HL2=4-[(2-hydroxy-ethylamino)-methylene]-5-methyl-2-p-tolyl-2,4-dihydro-pyrazol-3-one; HL3=4-{4-[(2-hydroxy-ethyl-amino)-methyl]-3-methyl-5-oxo-4,5-dihydropyrazol-1-yl} benzene sulfonic acid). The resulting complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic and decomposition temperature measurements, electron spin resonance, FAB mass, IR and electronic spectral studies. From TGA, DTA and DSC, the thermal behaviour and degradation kinetic were studied. Electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements indicate distorted octahedral stereochemistry of oxovanadium(IV) complexes and regular octahedral stereochemistry of manganese(III) complexes. Hamiltonian and bonding parameters found from ESR spectra indicate the metal ligand bonding is partial covalent. The X-ray single crystal determination of one of the representative ligand was carried out which suggests existence of amine-one tautomeric form in the solid state. The 1H-NMR spectra support the existence of imine-ol form in solution state. The LC-MS studies sustain the1H-NMR result. The electronic structure of the same representative ligand was optimized using 6-311G basis set at HF level ab initio studies to predict the coordinating atoms of the ligand.  相似文献

Six new macrocyclic complexes were synthesized by the template effect from reaction of 1,4-bis(2-carboxyaldehydephenoxy)butane, Ni(NO3)2 · 6H2O or Co(NO3)2 · 6H2O and various diamines. The metal-to-ligand ratios of Ni(II) or Co(II) metal complexes were found to be 1 : 1. Coordination of the Schiff base to Ni(II) and Co(II) through the two nitrogen and two oxygen atom (ONNO) are expected to reduce the electron density in the azomethine link and hydroxyl group. The Ni(II) and Co(II) complexes are proposed to be tetrahedral and are 1 : 2 electrolytes as shown by their molar conductivities (ΛM) in DMF (dimethyl formamide) at 10?3 M. The structures are proposed from elemental analysis, FT-IR, UV-VIS, magnetic susceptibility measurements, molar conductivity measurements, and mass spectra.  相似文献

Syntheses, structures, and antimicrobial activities of cobalt(III) complexes with two tetradentate Schiff-base ligands, (BA)2en?=?bis(benzoylacetone)ethylenediimine dianion and (acac)2en?=?bis(acetylacetone)ethylenediimine dianion, and two axial pyridines (py) have been investigated. These complexes were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and elemental analysis. The crystal structures of the complexes were determined by X-ray crystallography. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses revealed that both complexes have distorted octahedral environments, Schiff-base ligand coordinates cobalt in four equatorial positions, and the two axial positions are occupied by pyridines. The pyridines and Schiff-base ligands are involved in N–H···O hydrogen bonds with perchlorate. Biological activities of the ligands and metal complexes have been studied on Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Bacillus subtilis by the well diffusion method. The activity data show the metal complexes to be more potent than the parent ligand against two bacterial species.  相似文献

Three new coordination polymers, [Cu(μ3-tdp)(im)2]n (1), {[Cu(μ3-tdp)(1-mim)2]·0.5H2O}n (2) and {[Cu23-tdp)2(4-mim)4]·H2O}n (3) [tdpH2 = 3,3′-thiodipropionic acid, im = imidazole, 1-mim = 1-methylimidazole and 4-mim = 4-methylimidazole], have been prepared and characterized by spectroscopic techniques (IR and UV–Vis), elemental analyzes, magnetic measurements, thermal analyzes, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complexes 1–3 crystallize in the monoclinic system with space groups of C2/c and P21/c, respectively. In 1–3, tdp is a bridging ligand to form 1-D chains, which are extended into a 2-D layer by hydrogen bonding and π···π interactions. The 3,3′-thiodipropionate exhibits an unexpected coordination mode in 1–3. Simulations were used to assess the potential of the complexes in H2 storage applications.  相似文献

Two new N2O2 unsymmetrical Schiff bases, H2L1 = 3-[({o-[(E)-(o-hydroxyphenyl)methylideneamino]phenyl}methyl)imino]-1-phenyl-1-buten-1-ol and H2L2 = 3-[({o-[(E)-(2-hydroxy-1-naphthyl)methylideneamino]phenyl}methyl)imino]-1-phenyl-1-buten-1-ol, and their copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes, [CuL1] (1), [CuL2] (2), [NiL1] (3), and [NiL2] (4), have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic methods. The crystal structures of these complexes have been determined by X-ray diffraction. The coordination geometry around Cu(II) and Ni(II) centers is described as distorted square planar in all complexes with the CuN2O2 coordination more distorted than the Ni ones. The electrochemical studies of these complexes indicate a good correlation between the structural distortion and the redox potentials of the metal centers. The ligand and metal complexes were also screened for their in vitro antibacterial activity.  相似文献

[Ni(obb)(DMF)2(H2O)]·(Pic)2·0.5DMF (1) and [Ni(Etobb)2]·(Pic)2·2DMF (2) (obb = 1,3-bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)-2-oxapropane, Etobb = 1,3-bis(1-ethylbenzimidazol-2-yl)-2-oxapropane, Pic = picrate) have been synthesized and characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic methods. The structures of both complexes have been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. The coordination geometries of 1 and 2 can be described as distorted octahedra. The interaction of the nickel(II) complexes with calf thymus DNA was investigated by electronic absorption, fluorescence spectroscopy, and viscosity measurements. The experimental results suggest that 1 and 2 bind to DNA in an intercalation mode, and their binding affinity for DNA follows the order 1 > 2. DNA-binding behaviors can be attributed to the large coplanar aromatic rings in the V-shaped ligand and steric hindrance.  相似文献

Two new compounds containing the possible Fe(III) spin-crossover cation, [Fe(qsal)2]+ (qsalH = N-(8-quinolyl)salicylaldimine), and nickel bis(dithiolene) anions have been synthesized. Both are 1 : 1 salts [Fe(qsal)2][Ni(dddt)2] · CH3CN · CH3OH (1) and [Fe(qsal)2][Ni(pddt)2] (2) (dddt = 5,6-dihydro-1,4-dithiin-2,3-dithiolate; pddt = 6,7-dihydro-5H-1,4-dithiepin-2,3-dithiolate). They have been characterized by X-ray crystal structure determination, elemental analysis, UV-Vis spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements. The UV–Vis spectra are dominated by [Ni(L)2]? (1, L = dddt; 2, L = pddt). Magnetic studies show antiferromagnetic interaction in 1 from intermolecular S···S contacts and π–π stacking interactions, while the antiferromagnetic interaction in 2 is very weak.  相似文献

The reactions of 2-(2-pyridyl)benzothiazole (1) with MX2·nH2O salts (M = NiII, CoII, or CuII; X = Cl or ClO4; n = 0–2) in EtOH afforded the corresponding complexes. Depending on the nature of the counterion in the starting metal salt, the reactions give compounds of composition M(1)Cl2·nH2O or Cu(1)2(ClO4)2·H2O. The molecular and crystal structure of the CuII(1)2(ClO4)2·H2O complex was established by X-ray diffraction. The copper atom in this complex has a distorted tetragonal-pyramidal ligand environment and is coordinated by four nitrogen atoms of two ligand molecules and one water molecule. Electrochemical study of the ligand and the resulting complexes by cyclic voltammetry and at a rotating disk electrode demonstrated that ligand 1 stabilizes reduced forms of complexes containing Ni, Co, or Cu atoms in the oxidation state +1. Two new Ni(II) complexes of 2,6-bis[1-(2,6-diethylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine (L1), 2,6-bis[1-(4-methylphenylimino)ethyl]pyridine (L2 ) have been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex Ni(L1)Cl2?·?CH3CN (1), exhibits a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry, whereas complex Ni(L1)(CH3CN)Cl2 (2), is six-coordinate with a geometry that can best be described as distorted octahedral. The catalytic activities of complexes 1, 2, Ni{2,6-bis[1-(2,6-diisopropyl-phenylimino)ethyl]pyridine} Cl2?·?CH3CN (3), and Ni{2,6-bis[1-(2,6-dimethylphenylimino) ethyl]pyridine}Cl2?·?CH3CN (4), for ethylene polymerization were studied under activation with MAO.  相似文献

Two lactates and four new mixed ligand complexes with formulae Co(lact)2·2H2O, Ni(lact)2·3H2O, Co(4-bpy)(lact)2, Co(2,4'-bpy)2(lact)2, Ni(4-bpy)(lact)2·2H2O and Ni(2,4'-bpy)2(lact)2 (where 4-bpy=4,4'-bipyridine, 2,4'-bpy=2,4'-bipyridine, lact=CH3CH(OH)COO-) were isolated and investigated. The thermal behaviour of compounds was studied by thermal analysis (TG, DTG, DTA). In the case of hydrated complexes thermal decomposition starts with the release of water molecules. The compounds decompose at high temperature to metal(II) oxides in air. A coupled TG-MS system was used to analyse the principal volatile products of thermolysis and fragmentation processes of obtained complexes. This revised version was published online in July 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Three mononuclear nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes, [Ni(L)2(py)2] (1), [Ni(L)2(DMF)(H2O)] (2), and [Cu(L)2] (3), where HL = 2-((Z)-(4-methoxyphenylimino)methyl)-4,6-dichlorophenol, py = pyridine and DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide, have been synthesized and their structures determined by single crystal X-ray analysis. Complexes 1–3 crystallized in the monoclinic system of the space groups C2/c, P21/n, and P21/c, respectively. The crystal structures of 1 and 2 present an octahedral geometry at the metal center and 3 shows a square-planar geometry. The FT-IR spectra, UV–vis spectra, and magnetic susceptibility measurements agree with the observed crystal structures. EPR spectra indicate a dx2–y2 ground state (g|| > g > 2.0023 and A|| > A) for 3 at RT and LNT. The results of simultaneous TG-DTA analyses of 1 and 3 showed the final degradation products are NiO for 1 and CuO for 3. The Schiff base (HL) behaves as monobasic bidentate ligand possessing N and O donor atoms. Electrochemical properties for the complexes are similar and involve two irreversible redox processes. Complex 3 exhibits the ability to inhibit jack bean urease, although its Schiff base has no ability to inhibit urease. Complex 1 exhibits more active scavenging effects against O2? than HL, 2 and 3 under the same conditions. Antibacterial screening activities of these complexes were also investigated.  相似文献

The ligand 1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutylisocyanide, CNCMe2CH2CMe3, i.e. t-octylisocyanide, with Co(ClO4)2 · 6H2O or Co(BF4)2 · 6H2O in ethanol, produces pentakis(alkylisocyanide)cobalt(II) complexes, [Co(CNC8H17-t)5](ClO4)2 (1) and [Co(CNC8H17-t)5](BF4)2 · 2.0H2O (2). These Co(II) complexes undergo reduction/substitution upon reaction with trialkylphosphine ligands to produce [Co(CNC8H17-t)3{P(C4H9-n)3}2]ClO4 (3), [Co(CNC8H17-t)3{P(C4H9-n)3}2]BF4 (4), and [Co(CNC8H17-t)3{P(C3H7-n)3}2]ClO4 (5). Complex 3 is oxidized with AgClO4 to produce [Co(CNC8H17-t)3{P(C4H9-n)3}2](ClO4)2 (6). Complex 1 yields [Co(CNC8H17-t)4py2](ClO4)2 (7) upon dissolving in pyridine. Reactions with triarylphosphine and triphenylarsine ligands were unsatisfactory. The chemistry of 1 and 2 is therefore more similar to that of Co(II) complexes with CNCMe3 than with CNCHMe2, other alkylisocyanides, or arylisocyanides, but shows some behavior dissimilar to any known Co(II) complexes of alkylisocyanides or arylisocyanides. Infrared and electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivities, and cyclic voltammetry are reported and compared with known complexes. 1H, 13C, and 31P NMR data were also measured for the diamagnetic complexes 3, 4, and 5.  相似文献

Mixed ligand complexes of iron(III), [Fe(sb)2(py)Cl]?·?2H2O (1–9) [where sbH?=?Schiff bases (derived from condensation of 2-aminopyridine (sapH), 2-aminophenol (saphH), o-toluidine (o-smabH), aminobenzene (sabH), p-toluidine (p-smabH), 3-nitroaniline (snabH), and anthranilic acid (saaH) with salicylaldehyde and substituted (mercapto-)benzimidazole (mbzH), {2-(o-hydroxyphenyl)}benzoxazole, (pboxH)], have been synthesized by the interactions of iron(III) chloride with corresponding ligands in 1?:?2 molar ratio in refluxing pyridine. These complexes have been characterized by elemental analyses, melting points, spectral, and magnetic studies. Powder X-ray diffraction studies of some representative complexes are also reported herein. The antibacterial and antifungal activities of the free ligands and their iron(III) complexes were found in vitro. The complexes showed good antibacterial and antifungal effect to some bacteria and fungi. Two standard antibiotics (chloromphenicol and terbinafine) were used for comparison with these complexes.  相似文献

Two different metal complexes of [Co(HL)(L)(Ac)2]·4H2O (I) and [Ni2(L)2(Ac)2]·4H2O (II), have been synthesized with newly prepared amine-imine-oxime ligand [HL = 3-(4′-aminobiphenyl-4-ylimino)-butan-2-one oxime, Ac = CH3COO]. This ligand HL was prepared by the condensation of diacetylmonoxime with benzidine. The structure of the ligand and complexes have been proposed by elemental analyses, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR, electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility measurements, mass spectra, molar conductivity and thermo gravimetric analysis. The molar conductance measurements of the complexes in DMF solution correspond to non electrolytic nature for the complexes. Octahedral and tetrahedral geometries have been determined to the complexes of Co(III) and binuclear Ni(II) respectively. The ligand and its metal complexes were tested in vitro for their biological effects. Their activities against two gram-positive (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) and one fungal specie (Candida albicans) were found. They were inactive against tested gram negative bacteria. The text was submitted by authors in English.  相似文献

Three Ni(II) dithiocarbamate complexes, [Ni(buphdtc)2] (1), [Ni(buphdtc)(PPh3)(NCS)] (2) and [Ni(buphdtc)(PPh3)(NC)] (3) (where bu = butyl and ph = phenyl), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, UVvis, and FTIR spectroscopies. Complexes 1 and 2 were further characterized by single-crystal X-ray structural analysis. The single-crystal X-ray structural analysis indicates a slightly distorted square planar geometry. In 2 and 3, the influences of the auxiliary ligands (PPh3, NCS, and NC) on their steric and electronic properties were observed. Thermal studies of the complexes showed decomposition starting at 250–300 °C, leading to formation of nickel sulfide phases around 400 °C. The complexes were screened against some bacteria strains, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella oxytoca and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and two fungi species, Aspergillus niger and Fusarium oxysporum. The complexes showed moderate-to-strong antimicrobial potentials, with [Ni(buphdtc)2] (1) displaying the best antimicrobial activity. Fluconazole and streptomycin were used as reference drugs for antifungal and antibacterial assays, respectively.  相似文献
