环R称为弱半局部环,如果R/J(R)是Von Neumann正则环.给出了一个交换环是弱半局部环的充分且必要条件;还讨论了交换凝聚弱半局部环及其模的同调维数.     

On semilocal rings

We give several characterizations of semilocal rings and deduce that rationally closed subrings of semisimple artinian rings are semilocal, that artinian modules have semilocal endomorphism rings, and that artinian modules cancel from direct sums. Dedicated to the memory of Pere Menal     

Local Morphisms and Modules with a Semilocal Endomorphism Ring

We study local morphisms in the setting of general noncommutative rings. In particular, we apply local morphisms to study endomorphism rings of modules. We use our constructions to determine classes of modules with semilocal endomorphism rings. A Class of Auslander-Regular Macaulay Rings

Abstract

For a (left and right) noetherian semilocal ring R we analyse a regularity concept (called weak regularity) based on the equation gld R = dim R. Examples are regular Cohen-Macaulay orders over a regular local ring, localized enveloping algebras of finite dimensional Lie algebras, and the regular rings classified in Rump (2001b). We prove that weakly regular rings are Auslander-regular and Macaulay.

Affine and projective lines over one-dimensional semilocal domains

We characterize those partially ordered sets that can occur as the spectra of polynomial rings over one-dimensional semilocal (Noetherian) domains. We also determine the posets that can occur as projective lines over one-dimensional semilocal domains.

Chain geometries over semilocal rings are characterized as special touching structures possessing a distinguished group of automorphisms fixing two distant points.     

Projective modules are determined by their radical factors

We show that two infinitely generated projective modules are isomorphic whenever they have isomorphic factors modulo their Jacobson radical. Some applications of the result to semilocal rings with indecomposable non-finitely generated projective modules are given.     

On right G-semilocal rings

The notion of semilocal ring is extended to the classes of right G-semilocal and right N-semilocal rings. We explore the algebraic properties of such classes and study their relations with many other rings such as clean, exchange and I-finite rings. Localization of right G-semilocal rings is considered.     

I-Radicals,Their Lattices,and Some Classes of Rings

We describe some I-radicals in the categories of modules over semilocal rings. We give a characterization of rings over which the set of I-radicals coincides with the set of hereditary idempotent radicals. We prove that the lattices of I-radicals in the categories of modules over Morita-equivalent rings are isomorphic.     

Some Regularity Criteria for Affine Semilocal Rings

The purpose of this article is to study an existence of p-bases and mainly to give some regularity criteria for semilocal rings essentially of finite type over fields.     

Division closed lattice-ordered rings and commutative L*-rings

Abstract

The paper continues the study of division closed lattice-ordered rings and commutative L*-rings. More interesting properties of division closed lattice-ordered rings are presented and it is shown that under certain conditions such rings are f-rings. The main result on L*-rings is that for a commutative semilocal ring with the identity, it is L* if and only if it is O*.     

Witt equivalence of semilocal Dedekind domains in global fields

We examine a condition for two semilocal Dedekind rings, the fields of fractions of which are global fields, to be Witt equivalent. To solve the problem we generalize the notion of a Hilbert-symbol equivalence introduced in [11] and prove that a Witt equivalence is equivalent to a Hilbert-symbol equivalence. As a result we describe a Witt equivalence in terms of field invariants.

Locally perfect commutative rings are those whose modules have maximal submodules

R denotes a commutative ring. After Bass[B], a ring R is perfect in case every module has a projective cover. A ring R is a max ring provided that every nonzero i2-module has a maximal submodule. Bass characterized perfect rings as semilocal rings with T-nilpotent Jacobson radical J, and showed they are max rings. Moreover, Bass proved that R is perfect iff R satisfies the dec on principal ideals. Using Bass' theorems, the Hamsher-Koifman ([H],[K]) characterization of max R (see (3) ?(4) below), and the characterization of max R by the author via subdirectly irreducible quasi-injective R-modules, we obtain.

The Tits indices over semilocal rings

We give a simplified proof of the Tits classification of semisimple algebraic groups that remains valid over semilocal rings. We also give a new proof of the existence of all indices of exceptional inner type using the notion of canonical dimension of projective homogeneous varieties.     

On semilocal modules and rings

It is well-known that a ring Ris semiperfect if and only if _RR (orR_R ) is a supplemented module. Considering weak supplementsinstead of supplements we show that weakly supplemented modules Mare semilocal (i.e.M/Rad(M) is semisimple) and that R is a semilocal ring if and only if _RR (orR_R ) is weakly supplemented. In this context the notion of finite hollow dimension (or finite dual Goldie dimension) of modules is of interest and yields a natural interpretation of the Camps-Dicks characterization of semilocal rings. Finitely generated modules are weakly supplemented if and only if they have finite hollow dimension (or are semilocal).
