The problem of vibrations of a viscoelastic plate with concentrated masses is studied in a geometrically nonlinear formulation. In the equation of motion of the plate, the action of the concentrated masses is taken into account using Dirac δ-functions. The problem is reduced to solving a system of Volterra type ordinary nonlinear integrodifferential equations using the Bubnov-Galerkin method. The resulting system with a singular Koltunov-Rzhanitsyn kernel is solved using a numerical method based on quadrature formulas. The effect of the viscoelastic properties of the plate material and the location and amount of concentrated masses on the vibration amplitude and frequency characteristics is studied. Chaotic vibrations of flexible non-linear Euler-Bernoulli beams subjected to harmonic load and with various boundary conditions(symmetric and non-symmetric)are studied in this work.Reliability of the obtained results is verified by the finite difference method(FDM)and the finite element method(FEM)with the Bubnov-Galerkin approximation for various boundary conditions and various dynamic regimes(regular and non-regular).The influence of boundary conditions on the Euler-Bernoulli beams dynamics is studied mainly,dynamic behavior vs.control parameters { ωp,q0 } is reported,and scenarios of the system transition into chaos are illustrated.  相似文献

Non-linear cylindrical-form vibrations of an electroconductive plate-strip in longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields are considered. For the plate material a non-linear relationship between stress and deformation is accepted. On the basis of the known hypotheses and assumptions the general system is reduced to one equation for the normal displacement of the plate. Using the Bubnov-Galerkin method and the method of asymptotic integration, the amplitude-frequency characteristics of vibrations are defined. On the basis of numerical analysis different degrees of the influence of various factors (non-linearity, magnetic field, conductivity, etc.) on the nature of vibrations are compared. Qualitative and quantitative differences between the nature of vibrations in longitudinal and transverse magnetic fields are revealed.  相似文献

Nonlinear vibrations of cylindrical panels with complex base are analyzed. The Donnell-Mushtari-Vlasov equations with respect to displacements are used to study vibrations of shallow shell with geometrical nonlinearity. R-function method is applied to satisfy the panel boundary conditions. The Rayleigh-Ritz method is used to obtain the linear vibrations eigenmodes, which contain R-function. The nonlinear vibrations of panel are expanded by using these eigenmodes. The harmonic balance method and nonlinear normal modes are used to study the free nonlinear vibrations.  相似文献

We consider nonlinear vibration and dynamic stability problems for a viscoelastic circular cylindrical shell according to the refined Timoshenko theory, which takes into account the shear strain and the inertia of rotation, in a geometrically nonlinear setting. The problem data are reduced to systems of nonlinear integro-differential equations with singular relaxation kernels, which can be solved by the Bubnov-Galerkin method combined with a numerical method based on quadrature formulas. We study the numerical convergence of the Bubnov-Galerkin method. We analyze the shell dynamic behavior in a wide range of physical-mechanical and geometric parameters. We demonstrate the influence of the viscoelastic properties of the material on the nonlinear vibrations and dynamic stability of a circular cylindrical shell. We also compare the results obtained according to different theories.  相似文献

In the framework of the nonlinear theory of flexible shallow shells, we study free bending vibrations of a thin-walled circular cylindrical shell hinged at the end faces. The finite-dimensional shell model assumes that the excitation of large-amplitude bending vibrations inevitably results in the appearance of radial vibrations of the shell. The modal equations are obtained by the Bubnov-Galerkin method. The periodic solutions are found by the Krylov-Bogolyubov method. We show that if the tangential boundary conditions are satisfied “in the mean,” then, for a shell of finite length, significant errors arise in determining its nonlinear dynamic characteristics. We prove that small initial irregularities split the bending frequency spectrum, the basic frequency being smaller than in the case of an ideal shell.  相似文献

The structure and characteristics of nonlinear steady waves on the surface of horizontal shear flow of an ideal homogeneous incompressible fluid of finite depth with a linear velocity profile are studied using two-dimensional theory and the Euler approach. The wave motion is considered irrotational. A modification of the first Stokes method is proposed that allows algebraic calculations of terms of perturbation series. We consider nonlinear dissipative vibrations of the Bernoulli-Euler beam. We find that, under the action of a transverse alternating load, the vibrations may become chaotic. We study a scenario in which harmonic vibrations become chaotic, namely, the Feigenbaum scenario, and find the Feigenbaumconstant. In the present paper, we paymuch attention to the reliability of the results obtained. To this end, we use two methods, the finite difference O(h 2) method and the finite element method in the Bubnov-Galerkin form, and verify the convergence of these methods.  相似文献

Nonlinear modal interactions in the forced vibrations of a thermally loaded pre-buckled annular plate with clamped–clamped immovable boundary conditions are investigated. The mechanism responsible for the interaction is a combination internal resonance involving the natural frequencies of the three lowest axisymmetric modes. The in-plane thermal load acting on the plate is assumed to be axisymmetric and the plate is externally excited by a harmonic force. The nonlinear von Kármán plate equations along with the heat conduction equation are combined to model the behavior of the system. An analytical/numerical approach is used to examine the plate vibrations to a harmonic excitation near primary resonance of one of the modes.  相似文献

An experimental validation of the suitability of reduction methods for studying nonlinear vibrations of distributed-parameter systems is attempted. Nonlinear planar vibrations of a clamped-clamped buckled beam about its first post-buckling configuration are analyzed. The case of primary resonance of the nth mode of the beam, when no internal resonances involving this mode are active, is investigated. Approximate solutions are obtained by applying the method of multiple scales to a single-mode model discretized via the Galerkin procedure and by directly attacking the governing integro-partial-differential equation and boundary conditions with the method of multiple scales. Frequency-response curves for the case of primary resonance of the first mode are generated using both approaches for several buckling levels and are contrasted with experimentally obtained frequency-response curves for two test beams. For high buckling levels above the first crossover point of the beam, the computed frequency-response curves are qualitatively as well as quantitatively different. The experimentally obtained frequency-response curves for the directly excited first mode are in agreement with those obtained with the direct approach and in disagreement with those obtained with the single-mode discretization approach.  相似文献

The transverse vibrations of a flexible connecting rod in an otherwise rigid slider-crank mechanism are considered. An analytical approach using the method of multiple scales is adopted and particular emphasis is placed on nonlinear effects which arise from finite deformations. The influence of high-frequency horizontal vibrations on convection in the Hele-Shaw cell located in a uniform gravity field is considered experimentally and theoretically. Nonlinear regimes of vibrational convection in the supercritical region are examined. It is shown that horizontal vibrations (directed toward the wide sides of the cell) decrease the threshold of quasi-equilibrium stability. Regions of existence of one- and two-vortex steady flows are found, and unsteady regular and random regimes of thermal vibrational convection are considered. A method is proposed for studying the free vibrations of flexible shallow shells with a complex planform. The method is based on variational and R-function methods. The R-function method allows constructing a system of basis functions in an analytic form. This makes it possible to reduce the Donnell-Mushtari-Vlasov equations to Duffing equations. The amplitude-frequency characteristics of shallow shells with a complex planform are given for different curvatures and boundary conditions. A new asymptotic method is proposed to describe the free and forced transverse vibrations of elastic laminated beams of arbitrary cross section using the three-dimensional elastic equations without additional hypotheses and constraints. For beams with layers of equal Poisson's ratio, the zero-order natural frequencies are equal to the natural frequencies predicted by classical beam theory based on the Bernoulli hypothesis.
