In this paper we propose a new modified viscosity approximation method for approximating common fixed points for a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We prove strong convergence theorems for a countable family nonexpansive mappings in a reflexive Banach space with uniformly Gateaux differentiable norm under some control conditions. These results improve and extend the results of Jong Soo Jung [J.S. Jung, Convergence on composite iterative schemes for nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces, Fixed Point Theory and Appl. 2008 (2008) 14 pp., Article ID 167535]. Further, we apply our result to the problem of finding a zero of an accretive operator and extend the results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. Xu, Strong convergence of modified Mann iterations, Nonlinear Anal. 61 (2005) 51-60], Ceng, et al. [L.-C. Ceng, A.R. Khan, Q.H. Ansari, J.-C, Yao, Strong convergence of composite iterative schemes for zeros of m-accretive operators in Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 70 (2009)1830-1840] and Chen and Zhu [R. Chen, Z. We introduce the concept of a strongly relatively nonexpansive sequence in a Banach space and investigate its properties. Then we apply our results to the problem of approximating a common fixed point of a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space.   相似文献

We prove strong convergence theorems for a sequence which is generated by Halpern’s iteration. We also apply our result for finding zeros of an accretive operator. Our result improves the recent result of Aoyama et al. [K. Aoyama, Y. Kimura, W. Takahashi, M. Toyoda, Approximation of common fixed points of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space, Nonlinear Anal. 67 (2007) 2350-2360] by removing some assumptions on the parameters. Finally we discuss the new sufficient condition studied by Song [Y. Song, A new sufficient condition for the strong convergence of Halpern type iterations. Appl. Math. Comput. 198 (2) (2008) 721-728; Y. Song, New strong convergence theorems for nonexpansive nonself-mappings without boundary conditions. Comput. Math. In this paper, we introduce a composite iterative scheme by viscosity approximation method for finding a zero of an accretive operator in Banach spaces. Then, we establish strong convergence theorems for the composite iterative scheme. The main theorems improve and generalize the recent corresponding results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. In this paper we propose a new modified Mann iteration for computing common fixed points of nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We give certain different control conditions for the modified Mann iteration. Then, we prove strong convergence theorems for a countable family of nonexpansive mappings in uniformly smooth Banach spaces. These results improve and extend results of Kim and Xu [T.H. Kim, H.K. In this paper, we construct a new iterative scheme and prove strong convergence theorem for approximation of a common fixed point of a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings, which is also a solution to an equilibrium problem in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. We apply our results to approximate fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping, which is also solution to an equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space and prove strong convergence of general H-monotone mappings in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. In this paper, to find a common fixed point of a family of nonexpansive mappings, we introduce a Halpern type iterative sequence. Then we prove that such a sequence converges strongly to a common fixed point of nonexpansive mappings. Moreover, we apply our result to the problem of finding a common fixed point of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings and the problem of finding a zero of an accretive operator.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove strong convergence theorems by the hybrid method for a family of hemi-relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. Our results improve and extend the corresponding results given by Qin et al. [Xiaolong Qin, Yeol Je Cho, Shin Min Kang, Haiyun Zhou, Convergence of a modified Halpern-type iteration algorithm for quasi-?-nonexpansive mappings, Appl. Math. Lett. 22 (2009) 1051-1055], and at the same time, our iteration algorithm is different from the Kimura and Takahashi algorithm, which is a modified Mann-type iteration algorithm [Yasunori Kimura, Wataru Takahashi, On a hybrid method for a family of relatively nonexpansive mappings in Banach space, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 357 (2009) 356-363]. In addition, we succeed in applying our algorithm to systems of equilibrium problems which contain a family of equilibrium problems.  相似文献

Viscosity approximation methods for a family of finite nonexpansive mappings are established in Banach spaces. The main theorems extend the main results of Moudafi [Viscosity approximation methods for fixed-points problems, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 241 (2000) 46–55] and Xu [Viscosity approximation methods for nonexpansive mappings, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 298 (2004) 279–291] to the case of finite mappings. The purpose of this paper is to prove by using a new hybrid method a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions for a generalized equilibrium problem, the set of solutions for a variational inequality problem and the set of common fixed points for a pair of relatively nonexpansive mappings in a Banach space. We prove a strong convergence theorem for multivalued nonexpansive mappings which includes Kirk’s convergence theorem on CAT(0) spaces. The theorem properly contains a result of Jung for Hilbert spaces. This paper is concerned with a new composite iteration approximating to common fixed points for a finite family of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces which have a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm. Utilizing the iterative algorithm, we obtain the strong convergence theorems for a finite family of nonexpansive mappings. Recently, Ceng, Guu and Yao introduced an iterative scheme by viscosity-like approximation method to approximate the fixed point of nonexpansive mappings and solve some variational inequalities in Hilbert space (see Ceng et al. (2009) [9]). Takahashi and Takahashi proposed an iteration scheme to solve an equilibrium problem and approximate the fixed point of nonexpansive mapping by viscosity approximation method in Hilbert space (see Takahashi and Takahashi (2007) [12]). In this paper, we introduce an iterative scheme by viscosity approximation method for finding a common element of the set of a countable family of nonexpansive mappings and the set of an equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space. We prove the strong convergence of the proposed iteration to the unique solution of a variational inequality.  相似文献

In this paper, the class of nonspreading mappings in Banach spaces is introduced. This class contains the recently introduced class of firmly nonexpansive type mappings in Banach spaces and the class of firmly nonexpansive mappings in Hilbert spaces. Among other things, we obtain a fixed point theorem for a single nonspreading mapping in Banach spaces. Let EE be a uniformly convex Banach space which satisfies Opial’s condition or whose norm is Fréchet differentiable. Recently, Takahashi and Shimoji [W. Takahashi, K. Shimoji, Convergence theorems for nonexpansive mappings and feasibility problems, Math. Comput. Modelling 32 (2000) 1463–1471] introduced an iterative scheme given by finitely many nonexpansive mappings in EE and proved weak convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. In this paper we introduce a new iterative scheme which includes their iterative scheme as a special case. Under the assumption that EE is a reflexive Banach space whose norm is uniformly Gâteaux differentiable and which has a weakly continuous duality mapping, we prove strong convergence theorems which are connected with the problem of image recovery. Using the established results, we consider the problem of finding a common fixed point of finitely many nonexpansive mappings.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to present new hybrid Ishikawa iteration process by the generalized f-projection operator for finding a common element of the fixed point set for two countable families of weak relatively nonexpansive mappings and the set of solutions of the system of generalized Ky Fan inequalities in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space. Furthermore, we show that our new iterative scheme converges strongly to a common element of the afore mentioned sets. As applications, we apply our results to obtain some new results for finding a solution of a common fixed point of two countable in finite families, a system of generalized Ky Fan inequalities and a common zero-point problem for general B-monotone and maximal monotone operators in Banach spaces. This paper is concerned with convergence of an approximating common fixed point sequence of countable Lipschitzian mappings in a uniformly convex Banach space. We introduce a new condition for a class of mappings to obtain several weak and strong convergence theorems. This new condition is implied by many previous known conditions introduced by many authors. We also apply our results for a class of nonexpansive mappings and asymptotically nonexpansive mappings and we immediately obtain convergence theorems proved by Song-Chen, Kimura-Takahashi, Tan-Xu, and many others.  相似文献
