We study the b-functions of relative invariants of the prehomogeneous vector spaces associated with quivers of type A. By applying the decomposition formula for b-functions, we determine explicitly the b-functions of one variable for each irreducible relative invariant. Moreover, we give a graphical algorithm to determine the b-functions of several variables.  相似文献

Some aspects of the invariant theory of a prehomogeneous vector space of Heisenberg parabolic type are studied. In particular, it is shown that a classical identity given by George Ballard Mathews for the space of binary cubic forms has a natural explanation in terms of the Bruhat decomposition associated with the parabolic subgroup and consequently admits a generalization to all prehomogeneous vector spaces of this type. The results are expected to play a role in the definition of an analogue of the Kelvin transform for certain conformally invariant systems of differential equations that have previously been associated with these spaces.  相似文献

We count the number of isomorphism classes of hom-orthogonal partial tilting modules over path algebras of Dynkin quiver of type 𝔸 n , 𝔻 n , 𝔼 n . This number is independent on the choice of an orientation of the arrows, and the number for 𝔸 n or 𝔻 n -type can be expressed as a special value of a hypergeometric function. As a consequence of our theorem, we obtain a minimum value of the number of basic relative invariants of corresponding regular prehomogeneous vector spaces.  相似文献

We apply M. Ratner's theorem on closures of unipotent orbits to the study of three families of prehomogeneous vector spaces. As a result, we prove analogues of the Oppenheim Conjecture for simultaneous approximation by values of certain alternating bilinear forms in an even number of variables and certain alternating trilinear forms in six and seven variables.

The purpose of this paper is to determine the b-functions of all the prehomogeneous vector spaces associated to nilpotent orbits in the Dynkin–Kostant theory for all the complex simple algebraic groups of exceptional type. Our method to calculate b-functions is based on the structure theorem for b-functions of several variables and the functional equations for them.  相似文献

We discuss some aspects of the invariant theory and arithmetic of the prehomogeneous vector space of quadruples of quinary alternating forms. In this paper, we define the virtual moduli cycle of moduli spaces with perfect tangent-obstruction theory. The two interesting moduli spaces of this type are moduli spaces of vector bundles over surfaces and moduli spaces of stable morphisms from curves to projective varieties. As an application, we define the Gromov-Witten invariants of smooth projective varieties and prove all its basic properties.

In this paper, we consider the structure of rational orbit of some prehomogeneous vector spaces motivated by Wright and Yukie’s work. After we give a refinement of Wright and Yukie’s construction, we apply it to the inner forms of the D 5 and E 7 types. Parameterizations of reducible algebras for the cubic cases are included. We study the spaces of stable real and quaternionic vector bundles on a real algebraic curve. The basic relationship is established with unitary representations of an extension of \mathbbZ/2{\mathbb{Z}/2} by the fundamental group. By comparison with the space of real or quaternionic connections, some of the basic topological invariants of these spaces are calculated.  相似文献

Geometric torsions are torsions of acyclic complexes of vector spaces consisting of differentials of geometric quantities assigned to the elements of a manifold triangulation. We use geometric torsions to construct invariants for a three-dimensional manifold with a triangulated boundary. These invariants can be naturally combined into a vector, and a change of the boundary triangulation corresponds to a linear transformation of this vector. Let k be a function field of one variable over a finite field with the characteristic not equal to two. In this paper, we consider the prehomogeneous representation of the space of binary quadratic forms over k. We have two main results. The first result is on the principal part of the global zeta function associated with the prehomogeneous vector space. The second result is on a mean value theorem for degree zero divisor class groups of quadratic extensions over k, which is a consequence of the first one.  相似文献

Motivated by the Mariño-Vafa formula of Hodge integrals and physicists' predictions on local Gromov-Witten invariants of toric Fano surfaces in a Calabi-Yau threefold, the third author conjectured a formula of certain Hodge integrals in terms of certain Chern-Simons invariants of the Hopf link. We prove this formula by virtual localization on moduli spaces of relative stable morphisms.

The involutions in this paper are algebra anti-automorphisms of period two. Involutions on endomorphism algebras of finite-dimensional vector spaces are adjoint to symmetric or skew-symmetric bilinear forms, or to hermitian forms. Analogues of the classical invariants of quadratic forms (discriminant, Clifford algebra, signature) have been defined for arbitrary central simple algebras with involution. In this paper it is shown that over certain fields these invariants are sufficient to classify involutions up to conjugation. A method is presented for constructing point vortex models in the plane that dissipate the Hamiltonian function at any prescribed rate and yet conserve the level sets of the invariants of the Hamiltonian model arising from the SE (2) symmetries. The method is purely geometric in that it uses the level sets of the Hamiltonian and the invariants to construct the dissipative field and is based on elementary classical geometry in ℝ3. Extension to higher-dimensional spaces, such as the point vortex phase space, is done using exterior algebra. The method is in fact general enough to apply to any smooth finite-dimensional system with conserved quantities, and, for certain special cases, the dissipative vector field constructed can be associated with an appropriately defined double Nambu–Poisson bracket. The most interesting feature of this method is that it allows for an infinite sequence of such dissipative vector fields to be constructed by repeated application of a symmetric linear operator (matrix) at each point of the intersection of the level sets.  相似文献
