In this paper, we consider a viscoelastic equation of variable coefficients in the presence of infinite memory (past history) with nonlinear damping term and nonlinear delay term in the boundary feedback and acoustic boundary conditions. Under suitable assumptions, two arbitrary decay results of the energy solution are established via suitable Lyapunov functionals and some properties of the convex functions. The first stability result is given with relation between the damping term and relaxation function. The second result is given without imposing any restrictive growth assumption on the damping term and the kernel function \(g\). Our result extends the decay result obtained for problems with finite history to those with infinite history.  相似文献

Abstract

In this paper, we consider the existence and stability problems associated with semilinear stochastic evolution equations with variable delay in infinite dimensions. To be precise, we first study an existence result and then the exponential stability of a mild solution as well as asymptotic stability in probability of its sample paths. Such results are established employing a comparison principle under less restrictive hypothesis than the Lipschitz condition on the nonlinear terms. We study the question of asymptotic stability, as time tends to infinity, of solutions of dissipative anisotropic Kirchhoff systems, involving the p(x)-Laplacian operator, governed by time-dependent nonlinear damping forces and strongly nonlinear power-like variable potential energies. This problem had been considered earlier for potential energies which arise from restoring forces, whereas here we allow also the effect of amplifying forces. Global asymptotic stability can then no longer be expected, and should be replaced by local stability. The results are further extended to the more delicate problem involving higher order damping terms.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

In this paper we prove global and almost global existence theorems for nonlinear wave equations with quadratic nonlinearities in infinite homogeneous waveguides. We can handle both the case of Dirichlet boundary conditions and Neumann boundary conditions. In the case of Neumann boundary conditions we need to assume a natural nonlinear Neumann condition on the quasilinear terms. The results that we obtain are sharp in terms of the assumptions on the dimensions for the global existence results and in terms of the lifespan for the almost global results. For nonlinear wave equations, in the case where the infinite part of the waveguide has spatial dimension three, the hypotheses in the theorem concern whether or not the Laplacian for the compact base of the waveguide has a zero mode or not.  相似文献

A type III thermo-viscoelastic coupled system with infinite memory and distributed delay is considered. The interaction feedback between the nonlinear damping and the acoustic conditions are reacted on portion of the boundary. We obtain the well posedness and regularity of the system by using semigroup theory which is combined with Schauder's fixed point theorem. Moreover, the general decay estimates are established under a much larger class of relaxation functions. Our results are obtained without the boundedness condition of initial data assumed in many earlier papers in the literature. This work generalizes the composite stability between infinite memory and nonlinear damping.  相似文献

In this paper we study numerical approximation of linear neutral differential equations on infinite interval using equations with piecewise constant arguments. By using the generalized Riccati transformation and the inequality technique, we establish some new oscillation criteria for the second-order nonlinear delay dynamic equations with damping on a time scale. The subharmonic bifurcations and chaotic motions of the nonlinear viscoelastic plates subjected to subsonic flow and external loads are studied by means of Melnikov method. The critical conditions for the occurrence of chaotic motions are obtained. The chaotic features on the system parameters are discussed in detail. The conditions for subharmonic bifurcations are also obtained. For the system with no structural damping, chaotic motions can occur through infinite subharmonic bifurcations of odd orders. Furthermore, we confirm our theoretical predictions by numerical simulations. The theoretical results obtained here can help us to eliminate or suppress large nonlinear vibrations and chaotic motions of the nonlinear viscoelastic plates. Based on Melnikov method, complex dynamical behaviors of the nonlinear viscoelastic plates can be controlled by modifying the system parameters.  相似文献

Dynamic von Karman equations with a nonlinear boundary dissipation are considered. Questions related to long time behaviour, existence and structure of global attractors are studied. It is shown that a nonlinear boundary dissipation with a large damping parameter leads to an existence of global (compact) attractor for all weak (finite energy) solutions. This result has been known in the case of full interior dissipation, but it is new in the case when the boundary damping is the main dissipative mechanism in the system. In addition, we prove that fractal dimension of the attractor is finite. The proofs depend critically on the infinite speed of propagation associated with the von Karman model considered.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the initial-boundary value problem for a system of nonlinear wave equations, involving nonlinear damping terms, in a bounded domain Ω. The nonexistence of global solutions is discussed under some conditions on the given parameters. Estimates on the lifespan of solutions are also given. Our results extend and generalize the recent results in [K. Agre, M.A. Rammaha, System of nonlinear wave equations with damping and source terms, Differential Integral Equations 19 (2006) 1235-1270], especially, the blow-up of weak solutions in the case of non-negative energy.  相似文献

在backstepping程序中,把非线性自适应控制和鲁棒控制连接起来,为参数化的严格反馈系统在不确定性存在的情况下,建立了一种鲁棒自适应控制方案.非线性自适应控制被用来处理系统的线性参数化部分,而鲁棒控制通过引进非线性阻尼项被用来处理不确定性部分.与现有的方案不同,作者给出了非线性阻尼项的无限种选择,而不是仅仅一种选择.通过使用一种合适的选择,能够设计一个鲁棒自适应控制器.它不仅能够保证对不确定性的鲁棒性,而且能够使输出误差任意小,以及用较小的控制努力取得较好的性能.  相似文献

First, we prove this closed system is well-posed; then we establish the exponential stability for this elastic system by using a theorem whichbelongs to F. L.
