In this paper we reformulate the generalized Nash equilibrium problem (GNEP) as a nonsmooth Nash equilibrium problem by means of a partial penalization of the difficult coupling constraints. We then propose a suitable method for the solution of the penalized problem and we study classes of GNEPs for which the penalty approach is guaranteed to converge to a solution. In particular, we are able to prove convergence for an interesting class of GNEPs for which convergence results were previously unknown.  相似文献

Very recently, Takahashi and Takahashi [S. Takahashi, W. Takahashi, Strong convergence theorem for a generalized equilibrium problem and a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space, Nonlinear Anal. 69 (2008) 1025–1033] suggested and analyzed an iterative method for finding a common solution of a generalized equilibrium problem and a fixed point problem of a nonexpansive mapping in a Hilbert space. In this paper, based on Takahashi–Takahashi’s iterative method and well-known extragradient method we introduce a relaxed extragradient-like method for finding a common solution of a generalized mixed equilibrium problem, a general system of generalized equilibria and a fixed point problem of a strictly pseudocontractive mapping in a Hilbert space and then obtain a strong convergence theorem. Utilizing this theorem, we establish some new strong convergence results in fixed point problems, variational inequalities, mixed equilibrium problems and systems of generalized equilibria.  相似文献

本文首先研究一类新的向量均衡问题,利用截口定理与KKM定理两种不同的工具证明此类均衡问题解的存在性,接着,把这类向量均衡问题推广到更为一般的情形,随后讨论了具有上下界的均衡问题,它是由Isac,Sehgal和Singh于1999年提出的一个公开问题,本文在一定条件下获得了一个新的解的存在性定理,并构造了一个迭代算法,讨论了算法的收敛性。  相似文献

In this paper, we prove a strong convergence theorem for finding a common element of the set of solutions of an equilibrium problem and the set of the solutions of the variational inequality problem by using a new hybrid method. We consider the vector equilibrium problem, which extends the scalar equilibrium problem to vector valued bifunctions, in a Banach space setting. We propose an extragradient method for solving this problem. Under suitable assumptions on the bifunction, we prove that the generated sequence is weakly convergent to a solution of the problem. Then, we propose a regularization procedure which ensures strong convergence of the generated sequence to a solution of the problem.  相似文献

This paper studies a decentralized routing problem over a network, using the paradigm of mean-field games with large number of players. Building on a state-space extension technique, we turn the problem into an optimal control one for each single player. The main contribution is an explicit expression of the optimal decentralized control which guarantees the convergence both to local and to global equilibrium points. Furthermore, we study the stability of the system also in the presence of a delay which we model using an hysteresis operator. As a result of the hysteresis, we prove existence of multiple equilibrium points and analyze convergence conditions. The stability of the system is illustrated via numerical studies.  相似文献

In this paper, we introduce a new approach for solving equilibrium problems in Hilbert spaces. First, we transform the equilibrium problem into the problem of finding a zero of a sum of two maximal monotone operators. Then, we solve the resulting problem using the Glowinski–Le Tallec splitting method and we obtain a linear rate of convergence depending on two parameters. In particular, we enlarge significantly the range of these parameters given rise to the convergence. We prove that the sequence generated by the new method converges to a global solution of the considered equilibrium problem. Finally, numerical tests are displayed to show the efficiency of the new approach.  相似文献

This paper concerns developing two hybrid proximal point methods (PPMs) for finding a common solution of some optimization-related problems. First we construct an algorithm to solve simultaneously an equilibrium problem and a variational inequality problem, combing the extragradient method for variational inequalities with an approximate PPM for equilibrium problems. Next we develop another algorithm based on an alternate approximate PPM for finding a common solution of two different equilibrium problems. We prove the global convergence of both algorithms under pseudomonotonicity assumptions.  相似文献

In this paper, we prove two strong convergence theorems for finding a common point of the set of zero points of the addition of an inverse-strongly monotone mapping and a maximal monotone operator and the set of zero points of a maximal monotone operator, which is related to an equilibrium problem in a Hilbert space. Such theorems improve and extend the results announced by Y. Liu (Nonlinear Anal. 71:4852–4861, 2009). As applications of the results, we present well-known and new strong convergence theorems which are connected with the variational inequality, the equilibrium problem and the fixed point problem in a Hilbert space.  相似文献

We analyse a proximal point method for equilibrium problems in Hilbert spaces, improving upon previously known convergence results. We prove global weak convergence of the generated sequence to a solution of the problem, assuming existence of solutions and rather mild monotonicity properties of the bifunction which defines the equilibrium problem, and we establish existence of solutions of the proximal subproblems. Considering a recently proposed proximal point method for equilibrium problems, we construct an augmented Lagrangian method for solving the same problem in reflexive Banach spaces with cone constraints generating a strongly convergent sequence to a certain solution of the problem. This is an inexact hybrid method meaning that at a certain iterate, a solution of an unconstrained equilibrium problem is found, allowing a proper error bound, followed by a Bregman projection of the initial iterate onto the intersection of two appropriate halfspaces. Assuming a set of reasonable hypotheses, we provide a full convergence analysis.  相似文献

The equilibrium problem with equilibrium constraints (EPEC) can be looked on as a generalization of Nash equilibrium problem (NEP) and the mathematical program with equilibrium constraints (MPEC) whose constraints contain a parametric variational inequality or complementarity system. In this paper, we particularly consider a special class of EPECs where a common parametric P-matrix linear complementarity system is contained in all players?? strategy sets. After reformulating the EPEC as an equivalent nonsmooth NEP, we use a smoothing method to construct a sequence of smoothed NEPs that approximate the original problem. We consider two solution concepts, global Nash equilibrium and stationary Nash equilibrium, and establish some results about the convergence of approximate Nash equilibria. To find an equilibrium point, we suggest an extraproximal method in the form of a Cauchy problem for a system of ordinary differential equations with prediction. ABSTRACT

In this paper, we propose a best-response approach to select an equilibrium in a two-player generalized Nash equilibrium problem. In our model we solve, at each of a finite number of time steps, two independent optimization problems. We prove that convergence of our Jacobi-type method, for the number of time steps going to infinity, implies the selection of the same equilibrium as in a recently introduced continuous equilibrium selection theory. Thus the presented approach is a different motivation for the existing equilibrium selection theory, and it can also be seen as a numerical method. We show convergence of our numerical scheme for some special cases of generalized Nash equilibrium problems with linear constraints and linear or quadratic cost functions.  相似文献

In this paper, we construct a new iterative scheme and prove strong convergence theorem for approximation of a common fixed point of a countable family of relatively nonexpansive mappings, which is also a solution to an equilibrium problem in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. We apply our results to approximate fixed point of a nonexpansive mapping, which is also solution to an equilibrium problem in a real Hilbert space and prove strong convergence of general H-monotone mappings in a uniformly convex and uniformly smooth real Banach space. We consider a mathematical model which describes the equilibrium of an elastic body in contact with two obstacles. We derive its weak formulation which is in a form of an elliptic quasi-variational inequality for the displacement field. Then, under a smallness assumption, we establish the existence of a unique weak solution to the problem. We also study the dependence of the solution with respect to the data and prove a convergence result. Finally, we consider an optimization problem associated with the contact model for which we prove the existence of a minimizer and a convergence result, as well.  相似文献

This paper discusses the rate of convergence to equilibrium for one-dimensional reflected Brownian motion with negative drift and lower reflecting boundary at 0. In contrast to prior work on this problem, we focus on studying the rate of convergence for the entire distribution through the total variation norm, rather than just moments of the distribution. In addition, we obtain computable bounds on the total variation distance to equilibrium that can be used to assess the quality of the steady state for queues as an approximation to finite horizon expectations.  相似文献
