We investigate the basic boundary value problems of the connected theory of elastothermodiffusion for three-dimensional domains bounded by several closed surfaces when the same boundary conditions are fulfilled on every separate boundary surface, but these conditions differ on different groups of surfaces. We study the probabilities with which chordal Schramm–Loewner evolutions (SLE) visit small neighborhoods of boundary points. We find formulas for general chordal SLE boundary visiting probability amplitudes, also known as SLE boundary zig-zags or order refined SLE multi-point Green’s functions on the boundary. Remarkably, an exact answer can be found to this important SLE question for an arbitrarily large number of marked points. The main technique employed is a spin chain–Coulomb gas correspondence between tensor product representations of a quantum group and functions given by Dotsenko–Fateev type integrals. We show how to express these integral formulas in terms of regularized real integrals, and we discuss their numerical evaluation. The results are universal in the sense that apart from an overall multiplicative constant the same formula gives the amplitude for many different formulations of the SLE boundary visit problem. The formula also applies to renormalized boundary visit probabilities for interfaces in critical lattice models of statistical mechanics: we compare the results with numerical simulations of percolation, loop-erased random walk, and Fortuin–Kasteleyn random cluster models at Q = 2 and Q = 3, and find good agreement. 相似文献

In this paper we study the Martin boundary of unbounded open sets at infinity for a large class of subordinate Brownian motions. We first prove that, for such subordinate Brownian motions, the uniform boundary Harnack principle at infinity holds for arbitrary unbounded open sets. Then we introduce the notion of κ-fatness at infinity for open sets and show that the Martin boundary at infinity of any such open set consists of exactly one point and that point is a minimal Martin boundary point. 相似文献

Both exterior and interior mixed Dirichlet-Neumann problems in R3 for the scalar Helmholtz equation are solved via boundary integral equations. The integral equations are equivalent to the original problem in the sense that the traces of the weak seolution satisfy the integral equations, and, conversely, the solution of the integral equations inserted into Green's formula yields the solution of the mixed boundary value problem. The calculus of pseudodifferential operators is used to prove existence and regularity of the solution of the integral equations. The regularity results — obtained via Wiener-Hopf technique — show the explicit “edge” behavior of the solution near the submanifold which separates the Dirichlet boundary from the Neumann boundary. 相似文献

The goal of this article is to study the boundary layer of wall bounded flows in a channel at small viscosity when the boundaries are uniformly noncharacteristic, i.e., there is injection and/or suction everywhere at the boundary. Following earlier work on the boundary layer for linearized Navier-Stokes equations in the case where the boundaries are characteristic (no-slip at the boundary and non-permeable), we consider here the case where the boundary is permeable and thus noncharacteristic. The form of the boundary layer and convergence results are derived in two cases: linearized equation and full nonlinear equations. We prove that there exists a boundary layer at the outlet (downwind) of the form e−Uz/ε where U is the speed of injection/suction at the boundary, z is the distance to the outlet of the channel, and ε is the kinematic viscosity. We improve an earlier result of S. N. Alekseenko (1994, Siberian Math. J.35, No. 2, 209-230) where the convergence in L2 of the solutions of the Navier-Stokes equations to that of the Euler equations at vanishing viscosity was established. In the two dimensional case we are able to derive the physically relevant uniform in space (L∞ norm) estimates of the boundary layer. The uniform in space estimate is derived by properly developing our previous idea of better control on the tangential derivative and the use of an anisotropic Sobolev imbedding. To the best of our knowledge this is the first rigorously proved result concerning boundary layers for the full (nonlinear) Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible fluids. 相似文献

A hierarchical multilevel preconditioner is constructed for an efficient solution of a first kind boundary integral equation with the single layer potential operator discretized by a boundary element method. This technique is based on a hierarchical clustering of all boundary elements as used in fast boundary element methods. If N is a hyperbolic 3-manifold with finitely generated fundamental group, then the nearest point retraction is a proper homotopy equivalence from the conformal boundary of N to the boundary of the convex core of N.
