A mechanism, consistent with color confinement, for the transition between perturbative and physical vacua during the gradual crossover from the hadronic to partonic phase is proposed. The essence of this mechanism is the appearance and growing up of a kind of grape-shape perturbative vacuum inside the physical one. A percolation model based on simple dynamics for parton delocalization is constructed to exhibit this mechanism. The crossover from hadronic matter to sQGP (strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma) as well as the transition from sQGP to weakly coupled quark-gluon plasma with increasing temperature is successfully described by using this model.  相似文献

The mass spectrum of a coupled state is analytically determined. The mechanism of production of a constituent mass of particles forming a coupled state is explained. The change of the coupled state and constituent particle component masses attendant to changes of the coupling constant is analyzed. We investigate the temporal instabilities of mode intensities in two coupled unidirectional photorefractive ring resonators. The first resonator is driven by an external laser beam via photorefractive two-wave mixing. The internal oscillating beam is then employed to drive the second ring resonator. The second ring resonator provides a nonlinear loss mechanism for the coupled system. Complete spatial-temporal equations for describing the coupled system are derived and mean-field approximation is employed to simplify the transient analysis. The results of linear stability analysis indicate that the coupled system exhibits instability in the off-state and steady-state operation. The instability is explained in terms of competition between nonlinear gain and loss. Based on the original definition of the synchronization stability, a general framework is presented for investigating the exponential stability of synchronization in asymmetrically coupled networks. By choosing an appropriate Lyapunov function, we prove that the mechanism of the exponential synchronization stability is the asymmetrical coupling matrix with diffusive condition. We deduce the second largest eigenvalue of a symmetric matrix to govern the exponential stability of synchronization in asymmetrically coupled networks. Moreover, we have given the threshold value which can guarantee that the states of the asymmetrically coupled network achieve the exponential stability of synchronization.  相似文献

In part I, we developed the electromagnetic model and analyzed the plasma kinetic behavior for the recently developed inductively coupled plasma sources (ICPS). The analytic forms demonstrated that the induced RF wave in ICPS is primarily dampened by a collisionless dissipation mechanism, In this paper, the 2-D coupled damping effect is further discussed. A criterion is given to describe the magnitude of coupled damping relative to collisions. The numerical integrals show that the coupled damping is obvious only as the RF phase velocity is close to plasma thermovelocity. The electron velocity distribution function was calculated for different cases, Also analyzed were the geometry and frequency effects. It was found that appropriately adjusting the reactor height and coil current frequency could strengthen the coupled damping effect so as to benefit extracting the energy from the induced RF wave to the plasmas  相似文献

According to the electromagnetic field distributions, there exist two kinds of coupled spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SSPPs), the symmetric and anti-symmetric modes, in the three-dimensional(3D) subwavelength spoof–insulator–spoof(SIS) waveguide. We study the dispersion and excitation of the two kinds of coupled SSPPs supported by the 3D SIS waveguide. The evolution of the dispersion with the thickness and gap width of the waveguide is numerically investigated,and we give a theoretical analysis according to the coupling mechanism. Specially, based on the coupling mechanism,we design a zipper structure, through which the excitation and propagation of the anti-symmetric coupled modes can be realized effectively.  相似文献

Inductively coupled plasma sources (ICPS) have recently received increasing interest for semiconductor etching and deposition. A 2-D (r, z) electromagnetic (EM) model of ICPS is developed in terms of the mode analysis (MA) technique. Based upon the eigenmode expansion, a closed-form of the vector and scalar potentials of the EM fields is obtained, which provides exact and fast computing for the EM fields in the structure. By means of the Boltzmann-Vlasov equation, a 2-D model is established to describe the kinetic behaviors of plasmas. The closed-form solution for calculating induced space-currents is given, in which a collisionless coupled damping dominates the interaction mechanism between the induced RF wave and plasmas. In the framework of an electromagnetic field coupled nonminimally with a scalar field in flat spacetime, the existence of a non-singular electric field is proved for a point electric charge or electric monopole. In analogy with the Maxwell-dilaton system introduced by Gibbons and Wells, first, a Maxwell-anti-dilaton system is constructed where the radial electric field of a static electric monopole is coupled to an anti-dilaton. The field equations are solved analytically for the electric and dilaton fields and observe the nonsingular electric field. Also, the self-energy of the electric monopole is found to be finite. Furthermore, the formalism to a Maxwell-scalar field is generalized where a mechanism is introduced upon which the coupled regular-electric field and scalar field is obtained. The formalism shows that for a given regular electric field there are two supersymmetric coupling functions corresponding to a scalar and a phantom field.  相似文献

A rationale for the empirically observed Strouhal-Reynolds number relation for vortex shedding in the wake of a cylinder is provided. This rationale derives from a mechanism of vortex formation observed in numerical simulations of two-dimensional vortex shedding coupled with an order of magnitude estimate of the terms in the vorticity transport equation based on this mechanism.  相似文献

A high quality factor (Q-factor) is one of the major requirements of high-performance resonators. An understanding of the dissipation mechanism is crucial for maximizing the quality factor by reducing the energy loss. Thermoelastic damping has been well-known as the important intrinsic dissipation that affects the quality factor of micro-resonators. In this study, a finite element formulation based on the weak form of fully coupled thermoelastic problems is suggested. The coupled thermoelastic equation usually leads to a large-size complex eigenvalue problem, which is very massive and time-consuming to solve. Therefore, we also applied the model order reduction (MOR) scheme to this coupled multiphysical problem in order to achieve computational efficiency. The present approach is validated by comparing the numerical results and analytical solutions.  相似文献

The cooperative behaviors resulted from the interaction of coupled identical oscillators have been investigated intensively. However, the coupled oscillators in practice are nonidentical, and there exist mismatched parameters. It has been proved that under certain conditions, complete synchronization can take place in coupled nonidentical oscillators with the same equilibrium points, yet other cooperative behaviors are not addressed. In this paper, we further consider two coupled nonidentical oscillators with the same equilibrium points, where one oscillator is convergent while the other is chaotic,and explore their cooperative behaviors. We find that the coupling mode and the coupling strength can bring the coupled oscillators to different cooperation behaviors in unidirectional or undirected couplings. In the case of directed coupling,death islands appear in two-parameter spaces. The mechanism inducing these transitions is presented.  相似文献

Frequency locking without phase locking of two coupled nonlinear oscillators is experimentally demonstrated. This synchronization regime is found for two coupled laser modes, beyond the phase-locking range fixed by Adler's equation, because of a resonance mechanism. Specifically, we show that the amplitudes of the two modes exhibit strong fluctuations that produce average frequency synchronization, even if the instantaneous phases are unlocked. The experimental results are in good agreement with a theoretical model.  相似文献

LES/PDF methods are known to provide accurate results for challenging turbulent combustion configurations with strong turbulence-chemistry interactions. These methods are generally applicable as they do not make any assumptions on the topology of the underlying flame structure. However, this added generality comes at an increased computational cost. To mitigate this added cost, the majority of the LES/PDF computations performed to date utilize reduced mechanisms. We recently presented a coupled pre-partitioned adaptive chemistry (PPAC) and tabulation (ISAT) methodology (Newale et al., Comb. Th. Mod., 2019), which retains the fidelity of the detailed mechanism, while keeping the computational cost affordable. This methodology was tested in a partially-stirred reactor configuration. In this work, we describe the developments required for a holistic integration of PPAC-ISAT with a LES/PDF framework. We examine the performance of this coupled methodology in two LES/PDF configurations of Sandia flame D. A smaller simulation domain is initially utilized to characterize the efficiency and accuracy of standalone PPAC and coupled PPAC-ISAT in detail. Then, the performance of PPAC-ISAT is examined in a full-scale LES/PDF simulation. We show that the coupled PPAC-ISAT LES/PDF captures the resolved mean and RMS profiles of temperature and major species mass fractions to within 2% and OH to within 5%, with a reduction in the average simulation wall clock time per time step of 39% over an ISAT implementation using the detailed mechanism.  相似文献

This paper investigates the emergence of amplitude death and revival of oscillations from the suppression states in a system of coupled dynamical units interacting through delayed cyclic mode. In order to resurrect the oscillation from amplitude death state, we introduce asymmetry and feedback parameter in the cyclic coupling forms as a result of which the death region shrinks due to higher asymmetry and lower feedback parameter values for coupled oscillatory systems. Some analytical conditions are derived for amplitude death and revival of oscillations in two coupled limit cycle oscillators and corresponding numerical simulations confirm the obtained theoretical results. We also report that the death state and revival of oscillations from quenched state are possible in the network of identical coupled oscillators. The proposed mechanism has also been examined using chaotic Lorenz oscillator.  相似文献

We write a first-order action for the Wess-Zumino supermultiplet regarding it as a 0-form on the graded Poincaré supergroup manifold. The standard supersymmetry transformations are reproduced by the rheonomic symmetry mechanism. In this paper,we have found a kind of interesting nonlinear phenomenon-hybrid synchronization in linearly coupled fractional-order chaotic systems.This new synchronization mechanism,i.e.,part of state variables are anti-phase synchronized and part completely synchronized,can be achieved using a single linear controller with only one drive variable.Based on the stability theory of the fractional-order system,we investigated the possible existence of this new synchronization mechanism.Moreover,a helpful theorem,serving as a determinant for the gain of the controller,is also presented.Solutions of coupled systems are obtained numerically by an improved Adams-Bashforth-Moulton algorithm.To support our theoretical analysis,simulation results are given.  相似文献
