This paper is focused on the operator inequalities of the Bohr type. We will give a new and transparent proof for the operator Bohr inequality through an absolute value operator identity, show some related operator inequalities by means of 2×2 (block) operator matrices, and finally we will present a generalization of the operator Bohr inequality for multiple operators.  相似文献

In this paper, three new circulant operator matrices, scaled circulant operator matrices, diag-circulant operator matrices and retrocirculant operator matrices, are given respectively. Several norm equalities and inequalities for these operator matrices are proved. We show the special cases for norm equalities and inequalities, such as the usual operator norm and the Schatten p-norm. Pinching type inequality is also given for weakly unitarily invariant norms. These results are closely related to the nice structure of these special operator matrices. Furthermore, some special cases and specific examples are also considered.  相似文献

In this paper we introduce a new technique for proving norm inequalities in operator ideals with a unitarily invariant norm. Among the well-known inequalities which can be proved with this technique are the Löwner-Heinz inequality, inequalities relating various operator means and the Corach-Porta-Recht inequality. We prove two general inequalities and from them we derive several inequalities by specialization, many of them new. We also show how some inequalities, known to be valid for matrices or bounded operators, can be extended with this technique to normed ideals in C-algebras, in particular to the noncommutative Lp-spaces of a semi-finite von Neumann algebra.  相似文献

New sharp multiplicative reverses of the operator means inequalities are presented, with a simple discussion of squaring an operator inequality. As a direct consequence, we extend the operator Pólya-Szegö inequality to arbitrary operator means. Furthermore, we obtain some new lower and upper bounds for the Tsallis relative operator entropy, operator monotone functions and positive linear maps.  相似文献

In this paper we characterize operator order A?B?O and chaotic operator order log A?logB for positive and invertible operators A and B in terms of operator inequalities via the Furuta inequality and operator equalities due to the Douglas’s majorization and factorization. Related results are obtained, which include generalizations and characterizations of some well-known results.  相似文献

A generalization of classical determinant inequalities like Hadamard's inequality and Fischer's inequality is studied. For a version of the inequalities originally proved by Arveson for positive operators in von Neumann algebras with a tracial state, we give a different proof. We also improve and generalize to the setting of finite von Neumann algebras, some ‘Fischer-type’ inequalities by Matic for determinants of perturbed positive-definite matrices. In the process, a conceptual framework is established for viewing these inequalities as manifestations of Jensen's inequality in conjunction with the theory of operator monotone and operator convex functions on [0,). We place emphasis on documenting necessary and sufficient conditions for equality to hold.  相似文献

The Loewner–Heinz inequality is not only the most essential one in operator theory, but also a fundamental tool for treating operator inequalities. The aim of this paper is to investigate the converse of the Loewner–Heinz inequality in the view point of perspective and generalized perspective of operator monotone and multiplicative functions. Indeed, we give perspective inequalities equivalent to the Loewner–Heinz inequality.  相似文献

Several norm equalities and inequalities for operator matrices are proved in this paper. These results, which depend on the structure of circulant and skew circulant operator matrices, include pinching type inequalities for weakly unitarily invariant norms.  相似文献

We first show how (p,p′) Clarkson inequality for a Banach space X is inherited by Lebesgue-Bochner spaces Lr(X), which extends Clarkson's procedure deriving his inequalities for Lp from their scalar versions. Fairly many previous and new results on Clarkson's inequalities, and also those on Rademacher type and cotype at the same time (by a recent result of the authors), are obtained as immediate consequences. Secondly we show that if the (p, p') Clarkson inequality holds in X, then random Clarkson inequalities hold in Lr(X) for any 1 ≤ r ≤ ∞; the converse is true if r = p'. As corollaries the original Clarkson and random Clarkson inequalities for Lp are both directly derived from the parallelogram law for scalars.  相似文献

On any denumerable product of probability spaces, we construct a Malliavin gradient and then a divergence and a number operator. This yields a Dirichlet structure which can be shown to approach the usual structures for Poisson and Brownian processes. We obtain versions of almost all the classical functional inequalities in discrete settings which show that the Efron–Stein inequality can be interpreted as a Poincaré inequality or that the Hoeffding decomposition of U-statistics can be interpreted as an avatar of the Clark representation formula. Thanks to our framework, we obtain a bound for the distance between the distribution of any functional of independent variables and the Gaussian and Gamma distributions.  相似文献

The aim of this paper is to investigate some nonlinear dynamic inequalities on time scales, which provide explicit bounds on unknown functions. The inequalities given here unify and extend some inequalities in (B G Pachpatte, On some new inequalities related to a certain inequality arising in the theory of differential equation, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 251 (2000) 736–751).  相似文献

Error bounds for analytic systems and their applications   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Using a 1958 result of Lojasiewicz, we establish an error bound for analytic systems consisting of equalities and inequalities defined by real analytic functions. In particular, we show that over any bounded region, the distance from any vectorx in the region to the solution set of an analytic system is bounded by a residual function, raised to a certain power, evaluated atx. For quadratic systems satisfying certain nonnegativity assumptions, we show that this exponent is equal to 1/2. We apply the error bounds to the Karush—Kuhn—Tucker system of a variational inequality, the affine variational inequality, the linear and nonlinear complementarity problem, and the 0–1 integer feasibility problem, and obtain new error bound results for these problems. The latter results extend previous work for polynomial systems and explain why a certain square-root term is needed in an error bound for the (monotone) linear complementarity problem. The research of this author is based on work supported by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada under grant OPG0090391.The research of this author is based on work supported by the National Science Foundation under grants DDM-9104078 and CCR-9213739 and by the Office of Naval Research under grant 4116687-01.  相似文献

In a recent paper, Domokos and Kolumbán introduced variational inequalities with operator solutions to provide a suitable unified approach to several kinds of variational inequality and vector variational inequality in Banach spaces. Inspired by their work, in this paper, we further develop the new scheme of vector variational inequalities with operator solutions from the single-valued case into the multi-valued one. We prove the existence of solutions of generalized vector variational inequalities with operator solutions and generalized quasi-vector variational inequalities with operator solutions. Some applications to generalized vector variational inequalities and generalized quasi-vector variational inequalities in a normed space are also provided.  相似文献

In this paper we study the optimal control of systems driven by parabolic hemivariational inequalities. First, we establish the existence of solutions to a parabolic hemivariational inequality which contains nonlinear evolution operator. Introducing a control variable in the second member and in the multivalued term, we prove the upper semicontinuity property of the solution set of the inequality. Then we use this result and the direct method of the calculus of variations to show the existence of optimal admissible state–control pairs.  相似文献

In this work, we introduce a new measure for the dispersion of the spectral scale of a Hermitian (self-adjoint) operator acting on a separable infinite-dimensional Hilbert space that we call spectral spread. Then, we obtain some submajorization inequalities involving the spectral spread of self-adjoint operators, that are related to Tao's inequalities for anti-diagonal blocks of positive operators, Kittaneh's commutator inequalities for positive operators and also related to the arithmetic–geometric mean inequality. In turn, these submajorization relations imply inequalities for unitarily invariant norms (in the compact case).  相似文献

We consider an abstract first-order evolutionary inclusion in a reflexive Banach space. The inclusion contains the sum of L-pseudomonotone operator and a maximal monotone operator. We provide an existence theorem which is a generalization of former results known in the literature. Next, we apply our result to the case of nonlinear variational–hemivariational inequalities considered in the setting of an evolution triple of spaces. We specify the multivalued operators in the problem and obtain existence results for several classes of variational–hemivariational inequality problems. Finally, we illustrate our existence result and treat a class of quasilinear parabolic problems under nonmonotone and multivalued flux boundary conditions.  相似文献

An n ×nω-circulant matrix which has a specific structure is a type of important matrix. Several norm equalities and inequalities are proved for ω-circulant operator matrices with ω = eiθ (0 ≤ θ < 2π) in this paper. We give the special cases for norm equalities and inequalities, such as the usual operator norm and the Schatten p-norms. Pinching type inequality is also proposed for weakly unitarily invariant norms. Meanwhile, we present that the set of ω-circulant matrices with complex entries has an idempotent basis. Based on this basis, we introduce an automorphism on the ω-circulant algebra and then show different operators on linear vector space that are isomorphic to the ω-circulant algebra. The function properties, other idempotent bases and a linear involution are discussed for ω-circulant algebra. These results are closely related to the special structure of ω-circulant matrices.  相似文献

A new homological dimension, called G*-dimension, is defined for every finitely generated module M over a local noetherian ring R. It is modeled on the CI-dimension of Avramov, Gasharov, and Peeva and has parallel properties. In particular, a ring R is Gorenstein if and only if every finitely generated R-module has finite G*-dimension. The G*-dimension lies between the CI-dimension and the G-dimension of Auslander and Bridger. This relation belongs to a longer sequence of inequalities, where a strict inequality in any place implies equalities to its right and left. Over general local rings, we construct classes of modules that show that a strict inequality can occur at almost every place in the sequence.  相似文献

The Poincaré-type inequality is a unification of various inequalities including the F-Sobolev inequalities, Sobolev-type inequalities, logarithmic Sobolev inequalities, and so on. The aim of this paper is to deduce some unified upper and lower bounds of the optimal constants in Poincaré-type inequalities for a large class of normed linear (Banach, Orlicz) spaces in terms of capacity. The lower and upper bounds differ only by a multiplicative constant, and so the capacitary criteria for the inequalities are also established. Both the transient and the ergodic cases are treated. Besides, the explicit lower and upper estimates in dimension one are computed.
