Holographic data pages were stored in a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/acrylamide (AA) photopolymer. This material is formed of AA photopolymers which are considered interesting materials for recording holographic memories. A liquid crystal device was used to modify the object beam and store the data pages in the material. During the storage process, some parameters like exposure time, beam ratio and reading beam intensity were controlled to obtain high image quality after the reconstruction process. The bit error rate (BER) was calculated fitting the histograms of the images to determine what parameters improve the quality of the images.  相似文献

Global optimization of writing head is performed using micromagnetics and surrogate optimization. The shape of the pole tip is optimized for bit patterned, exchange spring recording media. The media characteristics define the effective write field and the threshold values for the head field that acts at islands in the adjacent track. Once the required head field characteristics are defined, the pole tip geometry is optimized in order to achieve a high gradient of the effective write field while keeping the write field at the adjacent track below a given value. We computed the write error rate and the adjacent track erasure for different maximum anisotropy in the multilayer, graded media. The results show a linear trade off between the error rate and the number of passes before erasure. For optimal head media combinations we found a bit error rate of 10−6 with 108 pass lines before erasure at 2.5 Tbit/in2.  相似文献

A technique for reconstructing positive and negative images from an identical intensity-modulated hologram is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally by use of a coaxial holographic storage system. Negative images are obtained by adding a phase-modulated dc component of signal beam on reading. By comparing positive and negative images, the bit error rate (BER) is improved by two orders of magnitude. This technique can reduce optical noise of reconstructed images to attain low BERs.  相似文献

A new optical communication system exhibiting a double security level is presented. Information coding is based on combined modulation formats of two data streams over the same optical carrier. Incoherent and coherent optical encryption algorithms are presented and are theoretically analyzed. The optical encryption method is transparent to data bit rates. Furthermore, it requires "on-line" data decoding with no possibility of recording and further processing. The incoherent scheme is very practical and can be implemented in existing optical communications systems, using currently available technology. Computer experiments of the incoherent method indicate less than 25 dB of signal to noise ratio required for 10-9 bit error rate and ineligible information decoding time of more than 10 8 years.  相似文献

为研究部分相干光通过强湍流对系统误码率的影响,借助对激光在大气湍流场中的传输方程进行解析求解(忽略系统中其他噪声,仅考虑由大气湍流引起的系统误码率),得到不同湍流内尺度、传输激光波长和光源相干参数条件下,系统误码率和传输距离的关系.结果表明:在强湍流条件下,当发射天线数目达到一定时,随着传输距离的增加,系统误码率逐渐增大,但增大到一定程度后趋于饱和;光源相干参数越大,系统误码率越低;湍流内尺度越大,系统误码率越高;传输激光波长的变化对系统误码率无明显影响.  相似文献

分析了基片缺陷导致磁光盘产生原始误码的原因。首次建立了磁光读出光场与基片杂质特性的数学模型,利用数值分析方法研究了读出信号畸变、误码长度与杂质特性的关系。分析结果表明,一定大小的基片杂质是否产生误码,与杂质距记录层的距离、杂质距读写光斑的距离以及读出阈值电平等因素有关。  相似文献

在自由空间量子密钥分配中,单光子源采用具有泊松分布的高度衰减激光脉冲,量子密码术协议采用BB84和B92协议。通过引入量子信道传输率、单光子捕获概率、测量因子和数据筛选因子,建立了量子误码率理论模型,给出了量子误码率的表达式。对于自由空间量子信道,引起量子误码率的主要因素是光学元件、探测器暗噪声和空间光学环境,并对这些因素进行了分析。针对低轨卫星_地面站间链路,进行了量子误码率的数值仿真研究。结果表明,在低轨卫星_地面站间进行量子密钥分配是可行的,限制自由空间量子密钥分配链路距离的主要因素是探测器暗噪声和空间光学环境。  相似文献

A technique of recovering the data pages from Fourier holograms recorded without the dc components is demonstrated theoretically and experimentally by use of a coaxial holographic storage system. A reconstructed image is obtained by adding a phase-modulated dc component of the signal beam on reading. The bit error rate of the reconstructed image is comparable with that for the hologram recorded with the dc component as well. Since high intensities of the dc components are not recorded in this technique, the dynamic range of the recording media can be saved, which potentially contributes to increasing the number of multiplexed holograms.  相似文献

 实际星地光通信系统的发射光束为高斯型的情况下,跟瞄误差和大气闪烁是星地激光链路中的主要信道噪声源。在结合两者对系统性能影响的前提下,对星地激光通信链路进行了理论分析和模型建立。基于该模型对星地激光链路中光束发散角与跟瞄误差之比的优化选择问题进行了研究。结果表明:对于上行链路,在不同误码率需求下都存在一个光束发散角与跟瞄误差的最佳比值,使得上行链路余量最大;对于下行链路,在不同误码率要求下均存在一个光束发散角与跟瞄误差的最佳比值,使得下行发射光功率的需求最小。利用最优化方法和最小二乘法拟合,得到星地激光链路中光束发散角与跟瞄误差的最佳比值和系统误码率的经验公式。  相似文献

We report on the recording characteristics of a near-field optical recording thin optical disk (NFR-TOD). We proposed a new cooling-less-type write strategy for recording, applied it to the NFR-TOD experimental system, and also applied a partial response maximum likelihood (PRML) signal processing, which was evaluated and optimized the PR coefficient for playback signals of the prototype NFR-TOD. The NFR-TOD has a track pitch of 160 nm and improved recording characteristics. The experimental results of the prototype NFR-TOD and the system indicate sufficiently low bit error rates (bERs) for recorded data at a fourfold higher recording density than the current Blu-ray disk.  相似文献

高速深空通信是深空探测的关键技术之一,具备单光子灵敏度的激光通信系统将大大提高现有的深空通信速度.然而,单光子条件下的激光通信不仅需要考虑传输环境的影响,还需要考虑实际单光子探测器性能和光子数量子态的分布.本文在不考虑大气湍流影响的情况下,以光电探测模型为基础,引入超导纳米线单光子探测器(SNSPD)系统的探测效率和暗计数,建立了反应系统差错性能的数学模型,提出了系统误码率的计算公式.先对公式中的光强和激光脉冲重复频率对误码率的影响进行仿真,再通过实验结果验证仿真模型.结果表明,光强对误码率的影响最明显,随着光强从0.01光子/脉冲到1000光子/脉冲的增加,误码率从10~(-1)到10~(-7)量级明显下降;激光脉冲重复频率对误码率的影响受到不同光强的制约,但都随着脉冲重复频率的增加呈下降趋势.与此同时,当增加光强或者提高速度时,误码率高于仿真结果,约在10~(-4)量级,其原因可能是实际通信中调制光信号的消光比不足和光纤引入背景噪声提高了系统暗计数.以上模型和实验结果为进一步开展基于SNSPD的月球-地球、火星-地球等高速深空激光通信奠定了基础.  相似文献

Crosstalk related raw signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and bit error rate (BER) of high density bitwise microholographic data storage is investigated by numerical modeling. Scattering and diffraction of light is calculated in non-paraxial scalar approximation. A multiple thin slice implementation of the perturbative volume integral equation is used, which can be easily parallelized. The effect of bit and track spacing, and the different local characteristics of the holographic recording material on the SNR, BER and diffraction efficiency are investigated. The results show that these lateral spacing parameters have much more effect on crosstalk noise than the number of layers. Using two-photon, thresholding or hard clipping materials generates less crosstalk noise at the same data density than a linear material, and the dynamic range of these materials can be used more effectively resulting in higher single microhologram diffraction efficiencies.  相似文献

针对反射型微小物体,设计了一种可在三维形貌测量中实现微小物体分层记录的短相干光源无透镜傅里叶变换数字全息记录系统,并利用该系统对锥形微孔壁实现了分层记录.该系统可通过调节待测物体的位置,改变全息记录中的物光光程,从而获得重构三维物体所需要的一系列子全息图.该系统具有光路简洁,系统的附加误差小的特点.实验测量的轴向误差约为3.5%,横向误差约为2.6%.此外,在三维重构的过程中,为避免因散斑噪声较大而无法利用位相信息进行三维重构的情况,采用了最小二乘多项式拟合方法,将微小物体的一系列再现强度图像进行三维重构.由于避免了复杂的相位展开,所以不但运算简单,而且具有较强的抗散斑噪声能力.  相似文献

Improved recording performances with exchange coupling between bottom magnetic layer and medium magnetic layer in triple-type perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) media are presented. Fundamentally, triple-type PMR media with exchange coupling between magnetic layers reduces DC erase noise and improves writability. Furthermore, triple-type PMR media could be expected clear magnetic cluster as well as relatively sharp transition pattern. Consequently, better spectral integral signal-to-noise ratio (SpiSNR), improved OW and about 1.5–2.0 order better bit error rate (BER) performances in triple-type PMR media with exchange coupling between magnetic layers were attributed to the reduction of DC erase noise and sharp transition as well as improved writability. In addition, work of micro-magnetic modeling on SNR profiles could help to verify the understanding on the role of exchange coupling between magnetic layers in triple-type PMR media.  相似文献

卫星振动是影响星间光CDMA通信系统性能的一个重要因素.考虑多用户干扰、背景光噪音、热噪音、接收机噪音和卫星振动,给出了基于PPM信号格式的星间二维光CDMA通信系统的系统模型.采用数值分析的方法,详细分析了卫星振动对该系统误码率性能的影响.结果表明,码速率、通信波长和卫星振动都会影响星间二维光CDMA通信系统的误码率性能.当卫星振动标准偏差σ≤4×10-7时,卫星振动对系统误码率性能的影响较小;当卫星振动标准偏差σ≥1.2×10-6,卫星振动对系统误码率性能的影响很大,得到的误码率难以满足系统的通信要求,需要采用卫星振动抑制或补偿等技术提高星间二维光CDMA通信系统的误码率性能.  相似文献

Holographic data storage is being widely studied for the purpose of developing next-generation large optical memories. A prospective use of this type of memory is in building image archives in large-scale data centers. In particular, demand for energy conservation at data centers, and therefore for holographic data storage, is growing. In holographic data storage, interference between bits occurs owing to wave aberration in the optical system, shrinkage of the medium, and crosstalk noise from neighboring holograms during multiplex recording; as a result of the interference, the reproduced image deteriorates and the bit error rate (BER) increases. In this study, to reduce the BER in both off-axis-type recording and coaxial-type recording, a two-dimensional finite impulse response (FIR) filter is applied to a reproduced image that has been recorded by angle multiplex recording and shift multiplex recording. First, for the optimization of the FIR filter coefficients, the linear minimum mean square error (LMMSE) method is applied; this method optimizes the coefficients by reducing the BER. Furthermore, for evaluating the optimization performance of the LMMSE method, the optimization performance is compared with that of the real-coded genetic algorithm (RCGA), which has the capability to search a wide range of coefficients. The optimization by the LMMSE method has been found to be excellent for off-axis-type recording but not for coaxial-type recording. It is speculated that this is because of the brightness irregularity in the reproduced image, resulting from crosstalk. On the other hand, a marked reduction in the BER is observed using the RCGA, despite the brightness irregularity. In this study, the effectiveness of the LMMSE method for signals recorded by coaxial-type recording, in which large brightness irregularity is expected, is examined using automatic gain control (AGC). It is found that the application of AGC reduces the BER even in the case of coaxial-type recording.  相似文献

An experimental method for characterizing the time-resolved phase noise of a fast switching tunable laser is discussed. The method experimentally determines a complementary cumulative distribution function of the laser's differential phase as a function of time after a switching event. A time resolved bit error rate of differential quadrature phase shift keying formatted data, calculated using the phase noise measurements, was fitted to an experimental time-resolved bit error rate measurement using a field programmable gate array, finding a good agreement between the time-resolved bit error rates.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the property evaluated modeling of switching matrix based on the XGM in SOA for optical packet-switched networks. Crosstalk-induced bit error rate (BER), packet error rate (PER), the dimension of the switching node and cascaded capacity under unbalanced traffic are examined, which proves to be relevant to the peculiarities of signal pulse such as initial chirp, shape and bit rate.Several rules are drawn to facilitate the design of SOA-based switching matrix under unbalanced traffic.  相似文献

通过对I型全息凹面光栅制作参量误差对光谱像的影响进行数值计算发现|1)两记录臂长的相对误差而不是绝对误差决定光谱像的展宽程度,即使绝对误差较大,只要两记录臂长的误差值相同,像宽也没有明显改变|2)由于I型光栅的记录臂一般较长,记录角度误差对像宽的影响不大,但会影响光栅的刻线密度,导致光谱成像位置的偏移|3)曲率半径误差对像宽的影响较大.通过数值模拟明确了I型全息凹面光栅制作的误差容许范围,找到了对光谱像宽度影响较大的误差来源,从而为此类光栅的制作提供理论指导,有助于制作出高质量光栅,降低罗兰圆光谱仪的调节难度.  相似文献
