The heterometallic Mn(II)(4)Ni(II)(2) title compound has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. The compound consists of a Ni-Mn-Ni linear moiety, [[Ni-(mu-NO)(3)](2)-Mn], linked by oximate bridges and three Mn(II) hfac terminal units attached by oximate oxygens in a di-mu-oxo fashion, forming a novel heterometallic cluster: Mn[Mn(hfac)(2)](3)[Ni(pao)(3)](2) (1). Magnetic measurements reveal the antiferromagnetic nature of the oximate pathway between Mn(II) and Ni(II) metal ions, which imposes an unusual high-spin ground state (S = 8) for 1.  相似文献

The controlled organization of high-spin complexes, eventually single-molecule magnets, is a great challenge in molecular sciences to probe the possibility to design sophisticated magnetic systems to address a large quantity of magnetic information. The coordination chemistry is a tool of choice to make such materials. In this work, high-spin S(T) = 22 [Mn(10)] complexes, such as [Mn(III)(6)Mn(II)(4)(L(1))(6)(μ(4)-O)(4)(μ(3)-N(3))(4)(CH(3)CN)(11)(H(2)O)]·(ClO(4))(2)·(CH(3)CN)(8.5) (1), have been assembled using (i) 1,3-propanediol derivatives as chelating ligands to form the [Mn(10)] core units and (ii) dicyanamide or azide anions as linkers to synthesize the first 2D and 3D [Mn(10)]-based networks: [Mn(III)(6)Mn(II)(4)(L(2))(6)(μ(3)-N(3))(4)(μ(4)-O)(4)(CH(3)OH)(4)(dca)(2)] (2) and [Mn(III)(6)Mn(II)(4)(L(3))(6)(μ(3)-N(3))(4)(μ(4)-O)(4)(N(3))(2)]·(CH(3)OH)(4) (3). The synthesis of these compounds is reported together with their single-crystal X-ray structures and magnetic properties supported by DFT calculations. In the reported synthetic conditions, the stability of the [Mn(10)] complex is remarkably good that allows us to imagine many new materials combining these high-spin moieties and other diamagnetic but also paramagnetic linkers to design for example ordered magnets.  相似文献

The ternary clusters (tmeda)(6)Zn(14-x)Mn(x)S(13)Cl(2) (1a-d) and (tmeda)(6)Zn(14-x)Mn(x)Se(13)Cl(2) (2a-d), (tmeda = N,N,N',N'-tetramethylethylenediamine; x ≈ 2-8) and the binary clusters (tmeda)(6)Zn(14)E(13)Cl(2) (E = S, 3; Se, 4;) have been isolated by reacting (tmeda)Zn(ESiMe(3))(2) with Mn(II) and Zn(II) salts. Single crystal X-ray analysis of the complexes confirms the presence of the six "(tmeda)ZnE(2)" units as capping ligands that stabilize the clusters, and distorted tetrahedral geometry around the metal centers. Mn(II) is incorporated into the ZnE framework by substitution of Zn(II) ions in the cluster. The polynuclear complexes (tmeda)(6)Zn(12.3)Mn(1.7)S(13)Cl(2)1a, (tmeda)(6)Zn(12.0)Mn(2.0)Se(13)Cl(2)2a, and (tmeda)(6)Zn(8.4)Mn(5.6)Se(13)Cl(2)2d represent the first examples of "Mn/ZnE" clusters with structural characterization and indications of the local chemical environment of the Mn(II) ions. The incorporation of higher amounts of Mn into 1d and 2d has been confirmed by elemental analysis. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations indicate that replacement of Zn with Mn is perfectly feasible and at least partly allows for the identification of some sites preferred by the Mn(II) metals. These calculations, combined with luminescence studies, suggest a distribution of the Mn(II) in the clusters. The room temperature emission spectra of clusters 1c-d display a significant red shift relative to the all zinc cluster 3, with a peak maximum centered at 730 nm. Clusters 2c-d display a peak maximum at 640 nm in their emission spectra.  相似文献

From the reaction of [Mn(III)(3)(micro-O)(micro-CH(3)CO(2))(6)]CH(3)CO(2) (manganese(III) acetate) and 2-anilino-4,6-di-tert-butylphenol (1:3) in methanol under anaerobic conditions, dark brown-black crystals of [Mn(III)(L(ISQ))(2)(L(AP))] (1) were obtained in approximately 30% yield. (L(AP))(-) represents the closed-shell o-aminophenolate(-) form of the above ligand, and (L(ISQ))(-) is the monoanionic pi radical form o-iminobenzosemiquinonate(-) (S(rad) = 1/2). Complex 1 can be deprotonated at the (L(AP))(-) ligand and one-electron-oxidized by air, yielding crystals of [Mn(IV)(L(ISQ))(2)(L(AP)-H)] (2), where (L(AP)-H)(2-) represents the closed-shell, dianionic o-amidophenolate(2-) form of the above ligand. The structures of 1 and 2 have been determined by X-ray crystallography at 100 K. The protonation and oxidation levels of the ligands and of the metal ions have been unequivocally established: both complexes contain two pi radical ligands, 1 contains a Mn(III) ion, and 2 contains a Mn(IV) ion. The spins of the radicals (S(rad) = 1/2) couple strongly antiferromagnetically with the d(4) and d(3) configuration of the Mn ions in 1 and 2, respectively, yielding the observed ground states of S = 1 for 1 and S = (1)/(2) for 2. This has been established by temperature-dependent susceptibility measurements (2-300 K) and S- and X-band EPR spectroscopy.  相似文献

In the present work, we report a new manganese single-chain magnet built from tetranuclear Mn(II)(2)Mn(III)(2) mixed-valence units linked by end-on azido and oximato bridges. All of the intra- and intercluster interactions involve end-on azido bridges, resulting in one ferromagnetic chain of ferromagnetic clusters with local ground state S = 9.  相似文献

The trinuclear complex Mn(3)(pko)(4)(CH(3)O)(2)(SCN)(2).CH(3)OH, 1, where Hpko is 2,2'-dipyridylketonoxime, is a rare example of a complex simultaneously containing Mn(II) and Mn(IV). X-ray crystallography and XANES spectroscopy clearly distinguish the Mn(II)(2)Mn(IV) valence isomer from the more commonly observed Mn(III)(2)Mn(II) formulation. Fits to variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data indicate that the Mn(II) and Mn(IV) are ferromagnetically coupled (J = +6.13 cm(-1)) and that 1 has an S = (13)/(2) ground state.  相似文献

Mn(II)(TCNE)I(OH(2)) was isolated from the reaction of tetracyanoethylene (TCNE) and MnI(2)(THF)(3), and has a 2-D structure possessing an unusual, asymmetric bonded μ(4)-[TCNE]˙(-). Direct antiferromagnetic coupling between the S = 5/2 Mn(II) and S = 1/2 [TCNE]˙(-) leads to magnetic ordering as a canted antiferrimagnet at a T(c) of 171 K.  相似文献

Two novel compounds, [Co(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](4-abs)(2).H(2)O (1) and [Mn(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](4-abs)(2).2H(2)O (2) (4,4'-bipy = 4,4'-bipyridine; 4-abs = 4-aminobenzenesulfonate), have been synthesized in aqueous solution and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, UV-vis and IR spectra, and TG analysis. X-ray structural analysis revealed that 1 and 2 both possess unusual hydrogen-bonded three-dimensional (3-D) networks encapsulating one-dimensional (1-D) covalently bonded infinite [M(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) (M = Co, Mn) chains. The 4-abs anions in 1 form 1-D zigzag chains through hydrogen bonds. These chains are further extended through crystallization water molecules into 3-D hydrogen-bonded networks with 1-D channels, in which the [Co(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) linear covalently bonded chains are located. Crystal data for 1: C(22)H(30)CoN(4)O(11)S(2), monoclinic P2(1), a = 11.380(2) A, b = 8.0274(16) A, c = 15.670(3) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 92.82(3) degrees, Z = 2. Compound 2 contains interesting two-dimensional (2-D) honeycomb-like networks formed by 4-abs anions and lattice water molecules via hydrogen bonding, which are extended through other crystallization water molecules into three dimensions with 1-D hexagonal channels. The [Mn(4,4'-bipy)(H(2)O)(4)](2+) linear covalent chains exist in these channels. Crystal data for 2: C(22)H(32)MnN(4)O(12)S(2), monoclinic P2(1)/c, a = 15.0833(14) A, b = 8.2887(4) A, c = 23.2228(15) A, alpha = gamma = 90 degrees, beta = 95.186(3) degrees, Z = 4.  相似文献

The synthesis, structures and magnetic properties of two hexanuclear Mn(6) clusters are reported: Mn(6)(mu(4)-O)(2)(dapdo)(2)(dapdoH)(4)(mu(2)-OH)(2)](ClO(4))(2).6MeCN (.6MeCN) and [Mn(6)(mu(4)-O)(2)(dapdo)(2)(dapdoH)(4)(mu(2)-OCH(3))(2)](ClO(4))(2).2Et(2)O (.2Et(2)O) [dapdo(2-) is the dianion of 2,6-diacetylpyridine dioxime and dapdoH(-) is the monoanion of the aforesaid dioxime ligand]. Both complexes are mixed-valent with two Mn(II) and four Mn(III) atoms disposed in an edge-sharing bitetrahedral core. Both complexes and display the same [Mn(III)(4)Mn(II)(2)(mu(4)-O)(2)(mu(2)-OR)(2)](10+) core in which R = H for and R = Me for . The [Mn(III)(4)Mn(II)(2)] core is rather uncommon compared to the reported [Mn(III)(2)Mn(II)(4)] core in the literature. DC magnetic susceptibility measurements on and reveal the presence of competing exchange interactions resulting in an S(t) = 5 ground spin state. The magnetic behavior of the compounds indicates antiferromagnetic coupling between the manganese(iii) centers, whereas the coupling between the manganese(iii) and manganese(ii) is weakly antiferromagnetic or ferromagnetic depending on the bridging environments. Finally the interaction between the manganese(ii) centers from the two fused tetrahedra is weakly ferromagnetic in nature stabilizing S(t) = 5 ground spin state in compounds and .  相似文献

Two new azido-bridged polyoxometalate compounds were synthesized in acetonitrile/methanol media and their molecular structures have been determined by X-ray crystallography. The [[(gamma-SiW10O36)Mn2(OH)2(N3)(0.5)(H2O)(0.5)]2(mu-1,3-N3)](10-) (1 a) tetranuclear Mn(III) complex, in which an end-to-end N3- ligand acts as a linker between two [(gamma-SiW10O36)Mn2(OH)2]4- units, represents the first manganese-azido polyoxometalate. The magnetic properties have been studied considering the spin Hamiltonian H = -J1(S1S2+S1*S2*)-J2(S1S1*), showing that antiferromagnetic interactions between the paramagnetic centers (g = 1.98) occur both through the di-(mu-OH) bridge (J1 = -25.5 cm(-1)) and the mu-1,3-azido bridge (J2 = -19.6 cm(-1)). The [(gamma-SiW10O36)2Cu4(mu-1,1,1-N3)2(mu-1,1-N3)2]12- (2 a) tetranuclear Cu(II) complex consists of two [gamma-SiW10O36Cu2(N3)2]6- subunits connected through the two mu-1,1,1-azido ligands, the four paramagnetic centers forming a lozenge. The magnetic susceptibility data have been fitted. This reveals ferromagnetic interactions between the four Cu(II) centers, leading to an S=2 ground state (H = -J1(S1S2+S1*S2*)-J2(S2S2*), J1 = +294.5 cm(-1), J2 = +1.6 cm(-1), g = 2.085). The ferromagnetic coupling between the Cu(II) centers in each subunit is the strongest ever observed either in a polyoxometalate compound or in a diazido-bridged Cu(II) complex. Considering complex 2 a and the previously reported basal-basal di-(mu-1,1-N3)-bridged Cu(II) complexes in which the metallic centers are not connected by other magnetically coupling ligands, the linear correlation J1 = 2639.5-24.95*theta(av) between the theta(av) bridging angle and the J1 coupling parameter has been proposed. The electronic structure of complex 2 a has also been investigated by using multifrequency high-field electron paramagnetic resonance (HF-EPR) spectroscopy between 95 and 285 GHz. The spin Hamiltonian parameters of the S = 2 ground state (D = -0.135(2) cm(-1), E = -0.003(2) cm(-1), g(x) = 2.290(5), g(y) = 2.135(10), g(z) = 2.158(5)) as well as of the first excited spin state S = 1 (D = -0.960(4) cm(-1), E = -0.080(5) cm(-1), g(x) = 2.042(5), g(y) = 2.335(5), g(z) = 2.095(5)) have been determined, since the energy gap between these two spin states is very small (1.6 cm(-1)).  相似文献

Tris(bipyridine)ruthenium(II) is used as a templating agent to insert palladium(II) into three-dimensional oxalate-based networks. The templated-assembly of [Ru(bpy)(3)][Pd(2)(ox)(3)] (Pd(2)) and [Ru(bpy)(3)][PdMn(ox)(3)] (PdMn) is described. The latter compound is structurally characterized by powder X-ray diffraction and X-ray absorption spectroscopy. These techniques reveal an unusual 6-fold oxygen environment around the Pd(II) atoms with two short (2.02 Angstrom) and four long (2.17 Angstrom) Pd-O distances. As stated by magnetometry, this environment is associated with a triplet ground state (S = 1) of the palladium(II) ion: when the temperature is decreased, the chiMT product shows a monotonous decrease from 5.54 cm(3) K mol(-1) at 300 K, a value which is slightly lower than the one expected for independent paramagnetic Pd(II) (S = 1, g = 2) and Mn(II) (S = 5/2, g = 2) ions. This thermal variation is due to antiferromagnetic exchange interactions between the two spin bearers. Nevertheless, no long-range magnetic order is detected down to 2 K. These results are confirmed by an analysis of the [MII(C(2)O(4))(3)](4-) (M = Ni, Pd, Pt) complex and of a [Pd(II){mu-(C(2)O(4))Mn(II)(OH(2))(4)}(3)](2+) tetranuclear model using density functional theory.  相似文献

The numerical simulations of the magnetic properties of extended three-dimensional networks containing M(II) ions with an S = 5/2 ground-state spin have been carried out within the framework of the isotropic Heisenberg model. Analytical expressions fitting the numerical simulations for the primitive cubic, diamond, together with (10-3) cubic networks have all been derived. With these empirical formulas in hands, we can now extract the interaction between the magnetic ions from the experimental data for these networks. In the case of the primitive cubic network, these expressions are directly compared with those from the high-temperature expansions of the partition function. A fit of the experimental data for three complexes, namely [(N(CH(3))(4)][Mn(N(3))] 1, [Mn(CN(4))](n)() 2, and [Fe(II)(bipy)(3)][Mn(II)(2)(ox)(3)] 3, has been carried out. The best fits were those obtained using the following parameters, J = -3.5 cm(-)(1), g = 2.01 (1); J = -8.3 cm(-)(1), g = 1.95 (2); and J = -2.0 cm(-)(1), g = 1.95 (3).  相似文献

The reaction of Cp'ReCl(2)S(3) (Cp' = Me(4)EtC(5)) with slightly less than 2 equiv of a phosphine reagent results in the formation of [Cp'Re(Cl)(2)(mu-S)](2), 2, which has been characterized by an X-ray diffraction study. Reactions of 2 with nucleophiles did not lead to monomeric derivatives of the type Cp'ReS(Cl)(2)(Nuc). The reaction of Cp'ReCl(2)(SC(2)H(4)S) with (Me(3)Si)(2)S resulted in the formation of three new products: Cp'ReS(SC(2)H(4)S), 4; Cp'Re(S(3))(SC(2)H(4)S), 5; and a tetranuclear derivative, [(Cp'Re)(2)(mu-S)(mu,eta(2)-SC(2)H(4)S)(mu,eta(1)-SC(2)H(4)S](2)Cl(2), 6. Complexes 4 and 6 have been characterized by X-ray diffraction studies. The electrochemical properties of the mononuclear Re=S derivative, 4, are compared with those of Re=O and Re=NR analogues.  相似文献

Two manganese(III) tetradentate Schiff-base dimers to which N,N'-dicyano-1,4-naphthoquinonediiminate (DCNNQI) radicals are attached have been selectively synthesized by varying the solvents used in the reactions: [Mn2(5-MeOsaltmen)2(DCNNQI)2].MeOH (1) and [Mn2(5-MeOsaltmen)(2)(DCNNQI)(2)] x 2CH2Cl2.2CH3CN (2) [5-MeOsaltmen2- = N,N'-(1,1,2,2-tetramethylethylene)bis(5-methoxysalicylideneiminate)]. These two complexes share the same molecular core, [(DCNNQI.-)-Mn(III)-(O)2-Mn(III)-(DCNNQI.-)], where -(O)2- is a biphenolate bridge in the out-of-plane dimerized [Mn(2)(5-MeOsaltmen)2]2+ moiety. However, their packing arrangements are completely different. Whereas complex 1 is found to be relatively isolated, strong intermolecular dimerization of the DCNNQI moieties (with the nearest contact being approximately 3.0 A) is observed in 2, forming a one-dimensional chain of [-Mn(III)-(O)2-Mn(III)-(DCNNQI.-)2-](infinity). The magnetic susceptibility of 1 can be modeled with an [S = 1/2, 2, 2, 1/2] four-spin system including strong antiferromagnetic Mn(III)/DCNNQI radical coupling (J(Mn/rad)/kB = -23 K) and ferromagnetic Mn(III)/Mn(III) coupling through the biphenolate bridge (J(Mn/Mn)/kB = +2.0 K). These interactions lead to an ST = 3 ground state that possesses significant uniaxial anisotropy (D(S=3)/kB = -2.1 K). Low-temperature ac and dc magnetic data of 1 reveal its single-molecule magnet behavior with quantum tunneling of the magnetization. By contrast, 2 possesses the diamagnetic ground state induced by dominating Mn(III)-Mn(III) antiferromagnetic interactions mediated by the diamagnetic DCNNQI dimers and/or pi-pi contact along the b axis.  相似文献

A new mu-phenoxo-bis-mu-acetato di-Mn(II) complex using the BpmpH ligand was isolated as a perchlorate salt (BpmpH = 2,6-bis[bis(2-pyridylmethyl)aminomethyl]-4-methyl-phenol). The X-ray structure has been solved showing that the two Mn(II) ions are in a distorted octahedral environment. Investigation of the variation of the molar magnetic susceptibility upon temperature reveals an antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the two high-spin Mn(II) ions. Fitting of the experimental data led to g = 1.99 and J = 9.6 cm(-1) (H(HDvV) = JS(A).S(B)). EPR spectra recorded on a powder sample of [(Bpmp)Mn(2)(mu-OAc)(2)](ClO(4)).0.5H(2)O at X-band between 4.3 K and room temperature and at Q-band between 5 and 298 K are presented. A new method based on a scrupulous examination of the variation upon temperature of these experimental spectra is developed here to first assign the transitions to the relevant spin states and second to determine the associated spin parameters. This approach is compared to the deconvolution process that has been previously applied to dinuclear Mn(II) complexes or metalloenzyme active sites. Crystallographic data is as follows: triclinic, space group P one macro, a = 10.154(2) A, b = 12.0454(2) A, c = 17.743(4) A, alpha = 101.69(3) degrees, beta = 93.62(3) degrees, gamma = 94.67(3) degrees, Z = 2.  相似文献

The initial employment of 2-(hydroxymethyl)pyridine for the synthesis of Mn/Ln (Ln = lanthanide) and Mn/Y clusters, in the absence of an ancillary organic ligand, has afforded a family of tetranuclear [Mn(III)(2)M(III)(2)(OH)(2)(NO(3))(4)(hmp)(4)(H(2)O)(4)](NO(3))(2) (M = Dy, 1; Tb, 2; Gd, 3; Y; 4) anionic compounds. 1-4 possess a planar butterfly (or rhombus) core and are rare examples of carboxylate-free Mn/Ln and Mn/Y clusters. Variable-temperature dc and ac studies established that 1 and 2, which contain highly anisotropic Ln(III) atoms, exhibit slow relaxation of their magnetization vector. Fitting of the obtained magnetization (M) versus field (H) and temperature (T) data for 3 by matrix diagonalization and including only axial anisotropy (zero-field splitting, ZFS) showed the ground state to be S = 3. Complex 4 has an S = 0 ground state. Fitting of the magnetic susceptibility data collected in the 5-300 K range for 3 and 4 to the appropriate van Vleck equations revealed, as expected, extremely weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the paramagnetic ions; for 3, J(1) = -0.16(2) cm(-1) and J(2) = -0.12(1) cm(-1) for the Mn(III)···Mn(III) and Mn(III)···Gd(III) interactions, respectively. The S = 3 ground state of 3 has been rationalized on the basis of the spin frustration pattern in the molecule. For 4, J = -0.75(3) cm(-1) for the Mn(III)···Mn(III) interaction. Spin frustration effects in 3 have been quantitatively analyzed for all possible combinations of sign of J(1) and J(2).  相似文献

To elucidate the bonding situation in the widely discussed hypervalent sulfur nitrogen species, the charge density distributions rho(r) and related properties of four representative compounds, methyl(diimido)sulfinic acid H(NtBu)(2)SMe (1), methylene-bis(triimido)sulfonic acid H(2)C[S(NtBu)(2) (NHtBu)](2) (2), sulfurdiimide S(NtBu)(2) (3), and sulfurtriimide S(NtBu)(3) (4), were determined experimentally by high-resolution low-temperature X-ray diffraction experiments (T = 100 K). This set of molecules represents an ideal frame of reference for the comparison of SN bonding modes, because they contain short formal S=N double bonds as well as long S-N single bonds, some of them influenced by inter- or intramolecular hydrogen bonds. For comparison, the gas-phase ab initio calculations of the four model compounds, H(NMe)(2)SMe, H(2)C[S(NMe)(2)(NHMe)](2), S(NMe)(2), and S(NMe)(3), were performed. The topological features were found to be not particularly sensitive with respect to different substituents R (R = H, Me, tBu). In this paper, it is documented that theory and experiment differ in the eigenvalues of the Hessian matrix because of systematically differing positions of the bond critical points but agree very well concerning the spatial Laplacian distribution and the distinct polarization of all investigated sulfur-nitrogen bonds. Both recommend the S(+)-N(-) formulation of sulfur nitrogen bonds in 1 and 2 since all nitrogen atoms are found to be sp(3) hybridized. The planar SNx (x = 2, 3) units in the diimide 3 and the triimide 4 reveal characteristics of m-center-n-electron systems. For none of the investigated S-N bonds, a classical double bond formulation can be supported. This is further substantiated by the NBO/NRT approach. Valence expansion to more than eight electrons at the sulfur atom can definitely be excluded to explain the bonding.  相似文献

A phosphorus supported multisite coordinating ligand P(S)[N(Me)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-o-OH](3) (2) was prepared by the condensation of the phosphorus tris hydrazide P(S)[N(Me)NH(2)](3) (1) with o-hydroxybenzaldehyde. The reaction of 2 with M(OAc)(2).xH(2)O (M = Mn, Co, Ni, x = 4; M = Zn, x = 2) afforded neutral trinuclear complexes [P(S)[N(Me)N=CH-C(6)H(4)-o-O](3)](2)M(3) [M = Mn (3), Co (4), Ni (5), and Zn (6)]. The X-ray crystal structures of compounds 2-6 have been determined. The structures of 3-6 reveal that the trinculear metal assemblies are nearly linear. The two terminal metal ions in a given assembly have an N(3)O(3) ligand environment in a distorted octahedral geometry while the central metal ion has an O(6) ligand environment also in a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. In all the complexes, ligand 2 coordinates to the metal ions through three imino nitrogens and three phenolate oxygens; the latter act as bridging ligands to connect the terminal and central metal ions. The compounds 2-6 also show intermolecular C-H...S=P contacts in the solid-state which lead to the formation of polymeric supramolecular architectures. The observed magnetic data for the (s = 5/2)3 L(2)(Mn(II))(3) derivative, 3, show an antiferromagnetic nearest- and next-nearest-neighbor exchange (J = -4.0 K and J' = -0.15 K; using the spin Hamiltonian H(HDvV) = -2J(S(1)S(2) + S(2)S(3)) - 2J'S(1)S(3)). In contrast, the (s = 1)(3) L(2)(Ni(II))(3) derivative, 5, displays ferromagnetic nearest-neighbor and antiferromagnetic next-nearest-neighbor exchange interactions (J = 4.43 K and J' = -0.28 K; H = H(HDvV)+ S(1)DS(1) + S(2)DS(2)+ S(3)DS(3)). The magnetic behavior of the L(2)(Co(II))(3) derivative, 4, reveals only antiferromagnetic exchange analogous to 3 (J = -4.5, J' = -1.4; same Hamiltonian as for 3).  相似文献

The reaction of MnBr(2) and [PPN](2)[S,S-C(6)H(3)-R] (1:2 molar ratio) in THF yielded [(THF)Mn(S,S-C(6)H(3)-R)(2)](-) [R = H (1a), Me (1b); THF = tetrahydrofuran]. Formation of the dimeric [Mn(S,S-C(6)H(3)-R)(2)](2)(2-) [R = H (2a), Me (2b)] was presumed to compensate for the electron-deficient Mn(III) core via two thiolate bridges upon dissolution of complexes 1a and 1b in CH(2)Cl(2). Complex 2a displays antiferromagnetic coupling interaction between two Mn(III) centers (J = -52 cm(-1)), with the effective magnetic moment (mu(eff)) increasing from 0.85 mu(B) at 2.0 K to 4.86 mu(B) at 300 K. The dianionic manganese(II) thiolate complexes [Mn(S,S-C(6)H(3)-R)(2)](2-) [R = H (3a), Me (3b)] were isolated upon the addition of [BH(4)](-) into complexes 1a and 1b or complexes 2a and 2b, respectively. The anionic mononuclear {Mn(NO)}(5) thiolatonitrosylmanganese complexes [(NO)Mn(S,S-C(6)H(3)-R)(2)](-) [R = H (4a), Me (4b)] were obtained from the reaction of NO(g) with the anionic complexes 1a and 1b, respectively, and the subsequent reduction of complexes 4a and 4b yielded the mononuclear {Mn(NO)}(6) [(NO)Mn(S,S-C(6)H(3)-R)(2)](2-) [R = H (5a), Me (5b)]. X-ray structural data, magnetic susceptibility measurement, and magnetic fitting results imply that the electronic structure of complex 4a is best described as a resonance hybrid of [(L)(L)Mn(III)(NO(*))](-) and [(L)(L(*))Mn(III)(NO(-))](-) (L = 1,2-benzenedithiolate) electronic arrangements in a square-pyramidal ligand field. The lower IR v(NO) stretching frequency of complex 5a, compared to that of complex 4a (shifting from 1729 cm(-1) in 4a to 1651 cm(-1) in 5a), supports that one-electron reduction occurs in the {(L)(L(*))Mn(III)} core upon reduction of complex 4a.  相似文献
