The article presents a generalization of the integral equation of an insulated linear antenna immersed in a cylindrically layered lossy dielectric medium. The insulation is provided by a lossless dielectric layer. The kernel of the integral equation is represented as a superposition of the fundamental solutions of the wave equation with equivalent propagation constants for the given media. A generalization to a plane-layered medium is proposed. The problem of a vertical radiator above a layered half-space is considered. We consider a nonclassical ordinary differential equation containing not only an unknown function but also an unknown coefficient depending on the unknown function. We show that if the desired solution is assumed to have bounded variation and be a.e. constant on the interval where the equation is considered, then the problem of finding the solution and the unknown coefficient does not have a unique solution in terms of the classical derivative. We prove that if the derivative is understood as a distribution, than this problem has a unique solution. These results are used to show that the acoustic impedance and the damping factor in the inverse scattering problem in a layered dissipative medium can be determined simultaneously.  相似文献

A boundary-value problem for the polarized-radiation transfer equation for a layered medium with Fresnel matching conditions at the boundaries of the medium partition is examined. The theorems of solvability of the boundary-value problem are proved, and the continuity properties for its solution are examined. A numerical algorithm based on the Monte Carlo method for solving the boundary-value problem is proposed and proved.  相似文献

The paper focuses on the numerical study of electromagnetic scattering from two-dimensional (2D) large partly covered cavities, which is described by the Helmholtz equation with a nonlocal boundary condition on the aperture. The classical five-point finite difference method is applied for the discretization of the Helmholtz equation and a linear approximation is used for the nonlocal boundary condition. We prove the existence and uniqueness of the numerical solution when the medium in the cavity is y-direction layered or the number of the mesh points on the aperture is large enough. The fast algorithm proposed in Bao and Sun (2005) [2] for open cavity models is extended to solving the partly covered cavity problem with (vertically) layered media. A preconditioned Krylov subspace method is proposed to solve the partly covered cavity problem with a general medium, in which a layered medium model is used as a preconditioner of the general model. Numerical results for several types of partly covered cavities with different wave numbers are reported and compared with those by ILU-type preconditioning algorithms. Our numerical experiments show that the proposed preconditioning algorithm is more efficient for partly covered cavity problems, particularly with large wave numbers.  相似文献

An algorithm is considered for solving the inverse scattering problem of seismic waves in a layered medium. The algorithm is based on solving a nonclassical ordinary differential equation with respect to an acoustic impedance, which also contains an unknown function characterizing the dissipative properties of the medium. The uniqueness of determining of these functions and the functional dependence associating them is established by solving the inverse problem of ground seismics. Results are presented from a computing experiment on applying the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the inverse problem of scattering of time-harmonic acoustic waves by an inhomogeneous penetrable obstacle in a piecewise homogeneous medium. The well-posedness of the direct problem is first established by using the integral equation method. We then proceed to establish two tools that play important roles for the inverse problem: one is a mixed reciprocity relation and the other is a priori estimates of the solution on some part of the interfaces between the layered media. For the inverse problem, we prove in this paper that both the penetrable interfaces and the possible inside inhomogeneity can be uniquely determined from a knowledge of the far field pattern for incident plane waves.  相似文献

A regularized recursive linearization method is developed for a two-dimensional in-verse medium scattering problem that arises in near-field optics, which reconstructs the scatterer of an inhomogeneous medium deposited on a homogeneous substrate from data accessible through photon scanning tunneling microscopy experiments. In addition to the ill-posedness of the inverse scattering problems, two difficulties arise from the layered back-ground medium and limited aperture data. Based on multiple frequency scattering data, the method starts from the Born approximation corresponding to the weak scattering at a low frequency, each update is obtained via recursive linearization with respect to the wavenumber by solving one forward problem and one adjoint problem of the Helmholtz equation. Numerical experiments are included to illustrate the feasibility of the proposed method.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of heat conduction from an inclusion in a heat transfer layered medium. Making use of the boundary integral equation method, the well-posedness of the forward problem is established by the Fredholm theory. Then an inverse boundary value problem, i.e. identifying the inclusion from the measurements of the temperature and heat flux on the accessible exterior boundary of the medium is considered in the framework of the linear sampling method. Based on a careful analysis of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map, the mathematical fundamentals of the linear sampling method for reconstructing the inclusion are proved rigorously.  相似文献

An elliptic equation for a layered regularly inhomogeneous (composite) material serves as an example for the introduction of new integral transforms that enable boundary-value problems to be solved in quadratures, without the need to solve boundary-layer problems. These integral transforms are used to solve simple boundary-value problems for a layered composite and to obtain a fundamental solution of an elliptic equation in an infinite two-dimensional laminar medium.  相似文献

An implicit operator differential equation of second order is obtained by separating variables in the corresponding boundary‐value problem for Maxwell's equations. The article computes the electromagnetic field on the surface of a layered medium with a local nonhomogeneity. The problem is transformed from three- to two-dimensional and the singulari-ties are investigated using the integral equation method. The proposed algorithm efficiently sim-ulates two-dimensional H-polarization fields by solving a system of integral equations. The equations for integral instantaneous characteristics of composite materials consisting of elastoplastic fibers and matrix are derived based on the known hypotheses of uniform strain or stress fields. The constitutive relations for a layered shell are obtained. The numerical algorithm elaborated is used to solve the stability problem for conical boron-aluminum shells under external pressure and axial compression. It is shown that the shells of medium thickness lose their stability under loads whose magnitude depends on the plasticity of the binder. The plasticity has a decisive influence on the choice of the optimum directions of reinforcement. If the parameters of a shell are such that the buckling occurs beyond the elastic limit, the shell must be reinforced in the direction of precritical stresses. However, this is possible only upon separate action of loads.  相似文献

We consider the direct problem of aerial electric sounding for a layered medium with a vertical cylindrical anomaly. We determine the minimum size of the anomaly when it is indistinguishable from an infinite layer of the same conductivity. The integral equation is solved by the integral current method. The concept of apparent conductivity is introduced for sounding problems using a magnetic dipole. The calculations support the conjecture of the locality of aerial sounding and prove the high efficiency of the integral current method for such problems.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the inverse medium scattering problem in a perturbed, layered, half-space, which is a problem related to the seismologial investigation of inclusions inside the earth’s crust. A wave penetrable object is located in a layer where the refraction index is different from the other part of the half-space. Wave propagation in such a layered half-space is different from that in a homogeneous half-space. In a layered half-space, a scattered wave consists of a free wave and a guided wave. In many cases, only the free-wave far-field or only the guided-wave far-field can be measured.We establish mathematical formulas for relations between the object, the incident wave and the scattered wave. In the ideal condition where exact data are given, we prove the uniqueness of the inverse problem. A numerical example is presented for the reconstruction of a penetrable object from simulated noise data.  相似文献

Frequency sounding of layered media is modeled by a hyperbolic problem. Within the framework of this model, we formulate an inverse problem. Applying the Laplace transform and introducing the impedance function, the latter is first reduced to the inverse boundary value problem for the Riccati equation and then to the Cauchy problem for a first-order quadratic equation. The advantage of such transformations is that the quadratic equation does not contain an unknown coefficient. For a specific class of data, it is shown that the Cauchy problem is uniquely solvable. Based on the asymptotic behavior of solutions to both the Riccati and quadratic equations, a stable reconstruction algorithm is constructed. Its feasibility is demonstrated in computational experiments.  相似文献

研究了层状横观各向同性饱和地基上弹性圆板的非轴对称振动问题.首先,通过方位角的Fourier变换,将圆柱坐标系下横观各向同性饱和土的三维动力方程转化为一阶常微分方程组,基于径向Hankel变换,建立问题的状态方程,求解状态方程后得到传递矩阵;其次,利用传递矩阵,结合层状饱和地基的边界条件、排水条件及层间接触和连续条件,给出了任意简谐激振力作用下层状横观各向同性饱和地基动力响应的通解;然后,按混合边值问题建立层状饱和地基上弹性圆板非轴对称振动的对偶积分方程,并将对偶积分方程化为易于数值计算的第二类Fredholm积分方程,并给出了算例.  相似文献

在部分饱和与部分干的层状多孔介质中,建立了一维渗流问题的数学模型.在自然的条件下,证明了一类退化抛物方程弱解的存在唯一性.揭示了一个重要性质,即当下层介质的孔隙比上层更粗时,层状交界面具有隔水作用.这一作用将会在展状交界面不均匀时导致指状湿峰的出现.同时也说明,较粗孔隙的上层具有防止水分蒸发的作用.  相似文献

We study several mathematical aspects of a system of equations modelling the interaction between short waves, described by a nonlinear Schrödinger equation, and long waves, described by the equations of magnetohydrodynamics for a compressible, heat conductive fluid. The system in question models an aurora-type phenomenon, where a short wave propagates along the streamlines of a magnetohydrodynamic medium. We focus on the one dimensional (planar) version of the model and address the problem of well posedness as well as convergence of the sequence of solutions as the bulk viscosity tends to zero together with some other interaction parameters, to a solution of the limit decoupled system involving the compressible Euler equations and a nonlinear Schrödinger equation. The vanishing viscosity limit serves to justify the SW–LW interactions in the limit equations as, in this setting, the SW–LW interactions cannot be defined in a straightforward way, due to the possible occurrence of vacuum.  相似文献
