Let M be a real hypersurface with almost contact metric structure ${(\phi, \xi, \eta, g)}$ in a complex projective space ${P_{n}\mathbb{C}}$ . A Real hypersurface M is said to be a Hopf hypersurface if ξ is principal. In this paper we investigate real hypersurfaces of ${P_{n}\mathbb{C}}$ whose Ricci tensors S satisfy ${\nabla_{\phi\nabla_{\xi}\xi}S = 0}$ . Under some further conditions we characterize Hopf hypersurfaces of ${P_{n}\mathbb{C}}$ .  相似文献

Let ${{\mathbb{Q}^4}(c)}$ be a four-dimensional space form of constant curvature c. In this paper we show that the infimum of the absolute value of the Gauss?CKronecker curvature of a complete minimal hypersurface in ${\mathbb{Q}^4(c), c\leq 0}$ , whose Ricci curvature is bounded from below, is equal to zero. Further, we study the connected minimal hypersurfaces M 3 of a space form ${{\mathbb{Q}^4}(c)}$ with constant Gauss?CKronecker curvature K. For the case c ?? 0, we prove, by a local argument, that if K is constant, then K must be equal to zero. We also present a classification of complete minimal hypersurfaces of ${\mathbb{Q}^4(c)}$ with K constant.  相似文献

In a rotationally symmetric space ${{\overline M}}$ around an axis ${\mathcal{A}}$ (whose precise definition is satisfied by all real space forms), we consider a domain G limited by two equidistant hypersurfaces orthogonal to ${\mathcal{A}}$ . Let ${M \subset {\overline M}}$ be a revolution hypersurface generated by a graph over ${\mathcal{A}}$ , with boundary in ?G and orthogonal to it. We study the evolution M t of M under the volume-preserving mean curvature flow requiring that the boundary of M t rests on ?G and stays orthogonal to it. We prove that: (a) the generating curve of M t remains a graph; (b) the flow exists as long as M t does not touch the rotation axis; (c) under a suitable hypothesis relating the enclosed volume and the area of M, the flow is defined for every ${t\in [0,\infty[}$ and a sequence of hypersurfaces ${M_{t_n}}$ converges to a revolution hypersurface of constant mean curvature. Some key points are: (i) the results are true even for ambient spaces with positive curvature, (ii) the averaged mean curvature does not need to be positive and (iii) for the proof it is necessary to carry out a detailed study of the boundary conditions.  相似文献

Let Y n denote the Gromov-Hausdorff limit $M^{n}_{i}\stackrel{d_{\mathrm{GH}}}{\longrightarrow} Y^{n}$ of v-noncollapsed Riemannian manifolds with ${\mathrm{Ric}}_{M^{n}_{i}}\geq-(n-1)$ . The singular set $\mathcal {S}\subset Y$ has a stratification $\mathcal {S}^{0}\subset \mathcal {S}^{1}\subset\cdots\subset \mathcal {S}$ , where $y\in \mathcal {S}^{k}$ if no tangent cone at y splits off a factor ? k+1 isometrically. Here, we define for all η>0, 0<r≤1, the k-th effective singular stratum $\mathcal {S}^{k}_{\eta,r}$ satisfying $\bigcup_{\eta}\bigcap_{r} \,\mathcal {S}^{k}_{\eta,r}= \mathcal {S}^{k}$ . Sharpening the known Hausdorff dimension bound $\dim\, \mathcal {S}^{k}\leq k$ , we prove that for all y, the volume of the r-tubular neighborhood of $\mathcal {S}^{k}_{\eta,r}$ satisfies ${\mathrm {Vol}}(T_{r}(\mathcal {S}^{k}_{\eta,r})\cap B_{\frac{1}{2}}(y))\leq c(n,{\mathrm {v}},\eta)r^{n-k-\eta}$ . The proof involves a quantitative differentiation argument. This result has applications to Einstein manifolds. Let $\mathcal {B}_{r}$ denote the set of points at which the C 2-harmonic radius is ≤r. If also the $M^{n}_{i}$ are Kähler-Einstein with L 2 curvature bound, $\| Rm\|_{L_{2}}\leq C$ , then ${\mathrm {Vol}}( \mathcal {B}_{r}\cap B_{\frac{1}{2}}(y))\leq c(n,{\mathrm {v}},C)r^{4}$ for all y. In the Kähler-Einstein case, without assuming any integral curvature bound on the $M^{n}_{i}$ , we obtain a slightly weaker volume bound on $\mathcal {B}_{r}$ which yields an a priori L p curvature bound for all p<2. The methodology developed in this paper is new and is applicable in many other contexts. These include harmonic maps, minimal hypersurfaces, mean curvature flow and critical sets of solutions to elliptic equations.  相似文献

Let $\mathfrak{g}$ be a semisimple Lie algebra and $\mathfrak{k}$ be a reductive subalgebra in $\mathfrak{g}$ . We say that a $\mathfrak{g}$ -module M is a $(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k})$ -module if M, considered as a $\mathfrak{k}$ -module, is a direct sum of finite-dimensional $\mathfrak{k}$ -modules. We say that a $(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k})$ -module M is of finite type if all $\mathfrak{k}$ -isotopic components of M are finite-dimensional. In this paper we prove that any simple $(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k})$ -module of finite type is holonomic. A simple $\mathfrak{g}$ -module M is associated with the invariants V(M), V(LocM), and L(M) reflecting the ??directions of growth of M.?? We also prove that for a given pair $(\mathfrak{g},\mathfrak{k})$ the set of possible invariants is finite.  相似文献

Let ${\|\cdot\|_{\psi}}$ be the absolute norm on ${\mathbb{R}^2}$ corresponding to a convex function ${\psi}$ on [0, 1] and ${C_{\text{NJ}}(\|\cdot\|_{\psi})}$ its von Neumann–Jordan constant. It is known that ${\max \{M_1^2, M_2^2\} \leq C_{\text{NJ}}(\| \cdot \|_{\psi}) \leq M_1^2 M_2^2}$ , where ${M_1 = \max_{0 \leq t \leq 1} \psi(t)/ \psi_2(t)}$ , ${M_2 = \max_{0\leq t \leq 1} \psi_2(t)/ \psi(t)}$ and ${\psi_2}$ is the corresponding function to the ? 2-norm. In this paper, we shall present a necessary and sufficient condition for the above right side inequality to attain equality. A corollary, which is valid for the complex case, will cover a couple of previous results. Similar results for the James constant will be presented.  相似文献

In the present study, we consider isometric immersions ${f : M \rightarrow \tilde{M}(c)}$ of (2n + 1)-dimensional invariant submanifold M 2n+1 of (2m + 1) dimensional Sasakian space form ${\tilde{M}^{2m+1}}$ of constant ${ \varphi}$ -sectional curvature c. We have shown that if f satisfies the curvature condition ${\overset{\_}{R}(X, Y) \cdot \sigma =Q(g, \sigma)}$ then either M 2n+1 is totally geodesic, or ${||\sigma||^{2}=\frac{1}{3}(2c+n(c+1)),}$ or ${||\sigma||^{2}(x) > \frac{1}{3}(2c+n(c+1)}$ at some point x of M 2n+1. We also prove that ${\overset{\_ }{R}(X, Y)\cdot \sigma = \frac{1}{2n}Q(S, \sigma)}$ then either M 2n+1 is totally geodesic, or ${||\sigma||^{2}=-\frac{2}{3}(\frac{1}{2n}\tau -\frac{1}{2}(n+2)(c+3)+3)}$ , or ${||\sigma||^{2}(x) > -\frac{2}{3}(\frac{1}{2n} \tau (x)-\frac{1}{2} (n+2)(c+3)+3)}$ at some point x of M 2n+1.  相似文献

We study the L p -distortion of finite quotients of amenable groups. In particular, for every ${2\leq p < \infty}$ , we prove that the ? p -distortions of the groups ${C_2\wr C_n}$ and ${C_{2^n}\rtimes C_n}$ are in ${\Theta((\log n)^{1/p}),}$ and that the ? p -distortion of ${C_n^2 \rtimes_A \mathbf{Z}}$ , where A is the matrix ${{\left({\small\begin{array}{cc}2 & 1 \\ 1 & 1 \end{array}} \right)}}$ is in ${\Theta((\log \log n)^{1/p}).}$   相似文献

We classify hypersurfaces of rank two of Euclidean space ${\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ that admit genuine isometric deformations in ${\mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ . That an isometric immersion ${\hat{f}\colon M^n \to \mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ is a genuine isometric deformation of a hypersurface ${f\colon M^n\to\mathbb{R}^{n+1}}$ means that ${\hat f}$ is nowhere a composition ${\hat f=\hat F\circ f}$ , where ${\hat{F} \colon V\subset \mathbb{R}^{n+1} \to\mathbb{R}^{n+2}}$ is an isometric immersion of an open subset V containing the hypersurface.  相似文献

Let (M,g) be an n-dimensional, compact Riemannian manifold and ${P_0(\hbar) = -\hbar{^2} \Delta_g + V(x)}$ be a semiclassical Schrödinger operator with ${\hbar \in (0,\hbar_0]}$ . Let ${E(\hbar) \in [E-o(1),E+o(1)]}$ and ${(\phi_{\hbar})_{\hbar \in (0,\hbar_0]}}$ be a family of L 2-normalized eigenfunctions of ${P_0(\hbar)}$ with ${P_0(\hbar) \phi_{\hbar} = E(\hbar) \phi_{\hbar}}$ . We consider magnetic deformations of ${P_0(\hbar)}$ of the form ${P_u(\hbar) = - \Delta_{\omega_u}(\hbar) + V(x)}$ , where ${\Delta_{\omega_u}(\hbar) = (\hbar d + i \omega_u(x))^*({\hbar}d + i \omega_u(x))}$ . Here, u is a k-dimensional parameter running over ${B^k(\epsilon)}$ (the ball of radius ${\epsilon}$ ), and the family of the magnetic potentials ${(w_u)_{u\in B^k(\epsilon)}}$ satisfies the admissibility condition given in Definition 1.1. This condition implies that kn and is generic under this assumption. Consider the corresponding family of deformations of ${(\phi_{\hbar})_{\hbar \in (0, \hbar_0]}}$ , given by ${(\phi^u_{\hbar})_{\hbar \in(0, \hbar_0]}}$ , where $$\phi_{\hbar}^{(u)}:= {\rm e}^{-it_0 P_u(\hbar)/\hbar}\phi_{\hbar}$$ for ${|t_0|\in (0,\epsilon)}$ ; the latter functions are themselves eigenfunctions of the ${\hbar}$ -elliptic operators ${Q_u(\hbar): ={\rm e}^{-it_0P_u(\hbar)/\hbar} P_0(\hbar) {\rm e}^{it_0 P_u(\hbar)/\hbar}}$ with eigenvalue ${E(\hbar)}$ and ${Q_0(\hbar) = P_{0}(\hbar)}$ . Our main result, Theorem1.2, states that for ${\epsilon >0 }$ small, there are constants ${C_j=C_j(M,V,\omega,\epsilon) > 0}$ with j = 1,2 such that $$C_{1}\leq \int\limits_{\mathcal{B}^k(\epsilon)} |\phi_{\hbar}^{(u)}(x)|^2 \, {\rm d}u \leq C_{2}$$ , uniformly for ${x \in M}$ and ${\hbar \in (0,h_0]}$ . We also give an application to eigenfunction restriction bounds in Theorem 1.3.  相似文献

Let $x:M^{m}\to\bar{M}$ , m≥3, be an isometric immersion of a complete noncompact manifold M in a complete simply connected manifold $\bar{M}$ with sectional curvature satisfying $-k^{2}\leq K_{\bar{M}}\leq0$ , for some constant k. Assume that the immersion has finite total curvature in the sense that the traceless second fundamental form has finite L m -norm. If $K_{\bar{M}}\not\equiv0$ , assume further that the first eigenvalue of the Laplacian of M is bounded from below by a suitable constant. We prove that the space of the L 2 harmonic 1-forms on M has finite dimension. Moreover, there exists a constant Λ>0, explicitly computed, such that if the total curvature is bounded from above by Λ then there are no nontrivial L 2-harmonic 1-forms on M.  相似文献

Let ${N \geq 3}$ and u be the solution of u t = Δ log u in ${\mathbb{R}^N \times (0, T)}$ with initial value u 0 satisfying ${B_{k_1}(x, 0) \leq u_{0} \leq B_{k_2}(x, 0)}$ for some constants k 1k 2 > 0 where ${B_k(x, t) = 2(N - 2)(T - t)_{+}^{N/(N - 2)}/(k + (T - t)_{+}^{2/(N - 2)}|x|^{2})}$ is the Barenblatt solution for the equation and ${u_0 - B_{k_0} \in L^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{N})}$ for some constant k 0 > 0 if ${N \geq 4}$ . We give a new different proof on the uniform convergence and ${L^1(\mathbb{R}^N)}$ convergence of the rescaled function ${\tilde{u}(x, s) = (T - t)^{-N/(N - 2)}u(x/(T - t)^{-1/(N - 2)}, t), s = -{\rm log}(T - t)}$ , on ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ to the rescaled Barenblatt solution ${\tilde{B}_{k_0}(x) = 2(N - 2)/(k_0 + |x|^{2})}$ for some k 0 > 0 as ${s \rightarrow \infty}$ . When ${N \geq 4, 0 \leq u_0(x) \leq B_{k_0}(x, 0)}$ in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ , and ${|u_0(x) - B_{k_0}(x, 0)| \leq f \in L^{1}(\mathbb{R}^{N})}$ for some constant k 0 > 0 and some radially symmetric function f, we also prove uniform convergence and convergence in some weighted L 1 space in ${\mathbb{R}^N}$ of the rescaled solution ${\tilde{u}(x, s)}$ to ${\tilde{B}_{k_0}(x)}$ as ${s \rightarrow \infty}$ .  相似文献

Let $ \mathfrak{g} $ be a reductive Lie algebra over $ \mathbb{C} $ and $ \mathfrak{k} \subset \mathfrak{g} $ be a reductive in $ \mathfrak{g} $ subalgebra. We call a $ \mathfrak{g} $ -module M a $ \left( {\mathfrak{g}{\hbox{,}}\;\mathfrak{k}} \right) $ -module whenever M is a direct sum of finite-dimensional $ \mathfrak{k} $ -modules. We call a $ \left( {\mathfrak{g}{\hbox{,}}\;\mathfrak{k}} \right) $ -module M bounded if there exists $ {C_M} \in {\mathbb{Z}_{{ \geqslant 0}}} $ such that for any simple finite-dimensional $ \mathfrak{k} $ -module E the dimension of the E-isotypic component is not greater than C M dim E. Bounded $ \left( {\mathfrak{g}{\hbox{,}}\;\mathfrak{k}} \right) $ -modules form a subcategory of the category of $ \mathfrak{g} $ -modules. Let V be a finite-dimensional vector space. We prove that the categories of bounded $ \left( {\mathfrak{sp}\left( {{{\mathrm{S}}^2}V \oplus {{\mathrm{S}}^2}{V^{*}}} \right),\;\mathfrak{gl}(V)} \right) $ - and $ \left( {\mathfrak{sp}\left( {{\varLambda^2}V \oplus {\varLambda^2}{V^{*}}} \right),\;\mathfrak{gl}(V)} \right) $ -modules are isomorphic to the direct sum of countably many copies of the category of representations of some explicitly described quiver with relations under some mild assumptions on the dimension of V .  相似文献

Let Σ be an immersed symplectic surface in CP 2 with constant holomorphic sectional curvature k > 0. Suppose Σ evolves along the mean curvature flow in CP 2. In this paper, we show that the symplectic mean curvature flow exists for long time and converges to a holomorphic curve if the initial surface satisfies ${|A|^2 \leq \lambda|H|^2 + \frac{2\lambda-1}{\lambda}k}$ and ${\cos\alpha\geq\sqrt{\frac{7\lambda-3}{3\lambda}}\left(\frac{1}{2} < \lambda\leq\frac{2}{3}\right) {\rm or} |A|^2\leq \frac{2}{3}|H|^2+\frac{4}{5}k\cos\alpha\, {\rm and} \cos\alpha\geq 1-\varepsilon}$ , for some ${\varepsilon}$ .  相似文献

We prove that a H-surface M in ${\mathbb{H}}^2 \times {\mathbb{R}} ,\vert H\vert \leq 1/2$ , inherits the symmetries of its boundary $\partial M,$ when $\partial M$ is either a horizontal curve with curvature greater than one or two parallel horizontal curves with curvature greater than one, whose distance is greater or equal to π. Furthermore we prove that the asymptotic boundary of a surface with mean curvature bounded away from zero consists of parts of straight lines, provided it is sufficiently regular.  相似文献

For an oriented space-like surface M in a four-dimensional indefinite space form ${R^4_2(c)}$ , there is a Wintgen type inequality; namely, the Gauss curvature K, the normal curvature K D and mean curvature vector H of M in ${R^4_2(c)}$ satisfy the general inequality: ${K+K^D \geq \langle H,H \rangle+c}$ . An oriented space-like surface in ${R^4_2(c)}$ is called Wintgen ideal if it satisfies the equality case of the inequality identically. In this paper, we study Wintgen ideal surfaces in ${R^4_2(c)}$ . In particular, we classify Wintgen ideal surfaces in ${R^4_2(c)}$ with constant Gauss and normal curvatures. We also completely classify Wintgen ideal surfaces in ${\mathbb E^4_2}$ satisfying |K| = |K D | identically.  相似文献

A broadcast on a nontrivial connected graph G is a function ${f:V \longrightarrow \{0, \ldots,\operatorname{diam}(G)\}}$ such that for every vertex ${v \in V(G)}$ , ${f(v) \leq e(v)}$ , where ${\operatorname{diam}(G)}$ denotes the diameter of G and e(v) denotes the eccentricity of vertex v. The broadcast independence number is the maximum value of ${\sum_{v \in V} f(v)}$ over all broadcasts f that satisfy ${d(u,v) > \max \{f(u), f(v)\}}$ for every pair of distinct vertices u, v with positive values. We determine this invariant for grid graphs ${G_{m,n} = P_m \square P_n}$ , where ${2 \leq m \leq n}$ and □ denotes the Cartesian product. We hereby answer one of the open problems raised by Dunbar et al. in (Discrete Appl Math 154:59–75, 2006).  相似文献

Let M n be a closed Riemannian manifold of diameter d. Our first main result is that for every two (not necessarily distinct) points ${p,q \in M^n}$ and every positive integer k there are at least k distinct geodesics connecting p and q of length ${\leq 4nk^2d}$ . We demonstrate that all homotopy classes of M n can be represented by spheres swept-out by “short” loops unless the length functional has “many” “deep” local minima of a “small” length on the space ${\Omega_{pq}M^n}$ of paths connecting p and q. For example, one of our results implies that for every positive integer k there are two possibilities: Either the length functional on ${\Omega_{pq} M^n}$ has k distinct non-trivial local minima with length ${\leq 2kd}$ and “depth” ${\geq 2d}$ ; or for every m every map of S m into ${\Omega_{pq}M^n}$ is homotopic to a map of S m into the subspace ${\Omega_{pq}^{4(k+2)(m+1)d}M^n}$ of ${\Omega_{pq}M^n}$ that consists of all paths of length ${\leq 4(k+2)(m+1)d}$ .  相似文献

Let V, $\tilde{V}$ be hypersurface germs in ? m , each having a quasi-homogeneous isolated singularity at the origin. We show that the biholomorphic equivalence problem for V, $\tilde{V}$ reduces to the linear equivalence problem for certain polynomials P, $\tilde{P}$ arising from the moduli algebras of V, $\tilde{V}$ . The polynomials P, $\tilde{P}$ are completely determined by their quadratic and cubic terms, hence the biholomorphic equivalence problem for V, $\tilde{V}$ in fact reduces to the linear equivalence problem for pairs of quadratic and cubic forms.  相似文献

Tensor data are becoming important recently in various application fields. In this paper, we consider the maximal rank problem of 3-tensors and extend Atkinson and Stephens’ and Atkinson and Lloyd’s results over the real number field. We also prove the assertion of Atkinson and Stephens: ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{R}}(m,n,p) \leq m+\lfloor p/2\rfloor n}$ , ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{R}}(n,n,p) \leq (p+1)n/2}$ if p is even, ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{F}}(n,n,3)\leq 2n-1}$ if ${\mathbb{F}=\mathbb{C}}$ or n is odd, and ${{\rm max.rank}_{\mathbb{F}}(m,n,3)\leq m+n-1}$ if m < n where ${\mathbb{F}}$ stands for ${\mathbb{R}}$ or ${\mathbb{C}}$ .  相似文献
