首先提出随机度量空间定义的另一个提法,这提法不仅等价于原始的定义而且也使随机度量空间自动归入广义度量空间的框架,也考虑了关于拓扑结构的某些新的问题;循着同样的思路,对随机赋范空间的定义也作了新的处理并同时简化了随机赋范模的定义．其次本文也证明了一个Ｅ－范空间的商空间等距同构于一个典型的Ｅ－范空间;进一步,在概率赋范空间的框架下证明了一个概率赋伪范空间是伪内积生成空间的充要条件是它等距同构于一个Ｅ－内积空间,这回答了Ｃ．Ａｌｓｉｎａ与Ｂ．Ｓｃｈｗｅｉｚｅｒ等人新近提出的公开问题．最后,本文转向了它的中心部分──关于随机内积空间的研究,对随机内积空间中的特有且复杂的正交性作较系统的讨论,论证了只有几乎处处正交性才是唯一合理的正交性概念,在此基础上本文尤其将Ｇ．Ｓｔａｍｐａｃｃｈｉａ的在众多学科中都有多种用途的一般投影定理（或称变分不等式解存在性定理）以适当形式推广到完备实随机内积模上．     

Matrix Image Method for Ranking Nonregular Fractional Factorial Designs

Nonregular fractional factorial designs such as Plackett-Burman designs and other orthogonal arrays are widely used in various screening experiments for their run size economy and flexibility. In this paper, we study matrix image theory and present a new method for distinguishing and assessing nonregular designs with complex alias structure, which works for all symmetrical and asymmetrical, regular and nonregular orthogonal arrays. Based on the matrix image theory, our proposed method captures orthogonality and projection properties. Empirical studies show that the proposed method has a more precise differentiation capacity when comparing with some other criteria.     

Isosceles-orthogonality preserving property and its stability

For real normed spaces, we consider the class of linear operators, preserving approximately the relation of isosceles-orthogonality. We show some general properties of such mappings. Next, we examine whether an approximately orthogonality preserving mapping admits an approximation by an orthogonality preserving one. In regard to this, we generalize some results obtained earlier for inner product spaces with standard orthogonality relation.     

A new class of multi-wavelet bases: V-system

The V-system is a complete orthogonal system of functions defined on the interval [0, 1], generated by finite Legendre polynomials and the dilation and translation of a function generator, which consists of a finite number of continuous and discontinuous functions. The V-system has interesting properties, such as orthogonality, symmetry, completeness and short compact support. It is shown in this paper that the V-system is essentially a special multi-wavelet basis. As a result, some basic properties of the V-system are established through the well-developed theory of multi-wavelets. From this point of view, more other V-systems are constructed.     

Area orthogonality in normed linear spaces

A new concept of orthogonality in real normed linear spaces is introduced. Typical properties of orthogonality (homogeneity, symmetry, additivity, ...) and relations between this orthogonality and other known orthogonalities (Birkhoff, Boussouis, Unitary-Boussouis and Diminnie) are studied. In particular, some characterizations of inner product spaces are obtained.     

Metrizations of orthogonality and characterizations of inner product spaces

Characterizations of real inner product spaces among normed linear spaces have been obtained by exploring properties of and relationships between various orthogonality relations which can be defined in such spaces. In the present paper the authors present metrized versions of some of these properties and relationships and obtain new characterizations of real inner product spaces among complete, convex, externally convex metric spaces.     

Derivatives of a finite class of orthogonal polynomials related to inverse Gamma distribution

In this work, we consider derivatives of a finite class of orthogonal polynomials with respect to weight function which is related to the probability density function of the inverse gamma distribution over the positive real line. General properties for this derivative class such as orthogonality, Rodrigues’ formula, recurrence relation, generating function and various other related properties such as self-adjoint form and normal form are indicated. The corresponding Gaussian quadrature formulae are introduced with examples. These examples are provided to support the advantages of considering the derivatives class of the finite class of orthogonal polynomials related to inverse gamma distribution. The orthogonality property related to the Fourier transform of the derivative class under discussion is also given.     

On mappings which approximately preserve angles

In this paper, we study mappings, which approximately preserve angles between inner product spaces. We also introduce a notion of angle in normed spaces. The notion of angle, considered in this part, relates to the well-known Birkhoff–James orthogonality. Based on it, we express a characterization for approximate Birkhoff–James orthogonality, introduced in the literature, through this notion of angle. Then we return to the issue of mappings which approximately preserve angle stating some results in normed spaces.     

Linear partial difference equations of hypergeometric type: Orthogonal polynomial solutions in two discrete variables

In this paper a systematic study of the orthogonal polynomial solutions of a second order partial difference equation of hypergeometric type of two variables is done. The Pearson's systems for the orthogonality weight of the solutions and also for the difference derivatives of the solutions are presented. The orthogonality property in subspaces is treated in detail, which leads to an analog of the Rodrigues-type formula for orthogonal polynomials of two discrete variables. A classification of the admissible equations as well as some examples related with bivariate Hahn, Kravchuk, Meixner, and Charlier families, and their algebraic and difference properties are explicitly given.     

Pythagorean euclidean four point properties

Characterizations of real inner product spaces among a class of metric spaces have been obtained based on homogeneity of metric pythagorean orthogonality, a metrization of the concept of pythagorean orthogonality as defined in normed linear spaces. In the present paper a considerable weakening of this hypothesis is shown to characterize real inner product spaces among complete, convex, externally convex metric spaces, generalizing a result of Kapoor and Prasad [9], and providing a connection with the many characterizations of such spaces using euclidean four point properties.     

An Extension of the Notion of Orthogonality to Banach Spaces

We extend the usual notion of orthogonality to Banach spaces. We show that the extension is quite rich in structure by establishing some of its main properties and consequences. Geometric characterizations and comparison results with other extensions are established. Also, we establish a characterization of compact operators on Banach spaces that admit orthonormal Schauder bases. Finally, we characterize orthogonality in the spaces l₂^p(C).     

An orthogonality in normed linear spaces based on angular distance inequality

In this paper, we present a new orthogonality in a normed linear space which is based on an angular distance inequality. Some properties of this orthogonality are discussed. We also find a new approach to the Singer orthogonality in terms of an angular distance inequality. Some related geometric properties of normed linear spaces are discussed. Finally a characterization of inner product spaces is obtained.     

On isotopies, parastrophies, and orthogonality of quasigroups

In V. D. Belousov’s papers, some properties of parastrophies were studied and some relations between parastrophies of a given quasigroup were obtained. Also some invariants of a parastrophy were found. This article continues our paper with V. V. Gushan, in which minimal sets of parastrophy systems for quasigroups of order 6 were obtained and some questions about orthogonality of parastrophies of a given quasigroup were studied as well.     

On differential properties for bivariate orthogonal polynomials

In this paper, we consider bivariate orthogonal polynomials associated with a quasi-definite moment functional which satisfies a Pearson-type partial differential equation. For these polynomials differential properties are obtained. In particular, we deduce some structure and orthogonality relations for the successive partial derivatives of the polynomials.      

一类平衡对称向量小波滤波器组参数化公式

向量小波因可以同时具有正交性、紧支性、对称性和较高的消失矩性质,使得对它的研究备受关注.本文在有限脉冲滤波器无损系统的格式结构基础上,研究一类具有对称性质的向量值滤波器组,给出其参数化公式,并由该参数化形式构造出一些具有一定平衡阶的向量小波.     

On Birkhoff orthogonality and isosceles orthogonality in normed linear spaces

We survey mainly recent results on the two most important orthogonality types in normed linear spaces, namely on Birkhoff orthogonality and on isosceles (or James) orthogonality. We lay special emphasis on their fundamental properties, on their differences and connections, and on geometric results and problems inspired by the respective theoretical framework. At the beginning we also present other interesting types of orthogonality. This survey can also be taken as an update of existing related representations.     

A new type of orthogonality for normed planes

In this paper we introduce a new type of orthogonality for real normed planes which coincides with usual orthogonality in the Euclidean situation. With the help of this type of orthogonality we derive several characterizations of the Euclidean plane among all normed planes, all of them yielding also characteristic properties of inner product spaces among real normed linear spaces of dimensions d ⩾ 3.     

广义的约当-冯诺依曼型常数和正规结构

本文引入了一个广义的约当-冯诺依曼型常数,并研究了它的相关性质,同时还利用广义的约当-冯诺依曼型常数,弱正交系数μ(X)和Domínguez-Benavides系数R(1,X),对Banach空间中的弱收敛序列系数WCS(X)进行了估计,从而得到了空间具有正规结构的一些充分条件.这些结论严格推广了最近一些文献中的结果.     

Linear approximation of approximately biorthogonality preserving maps

We investigate linear properties of mappings from a bounded domain of an n-dimensional normed space into another n-dimensional normed space such that the image of some almost biorthogonal system is almost biorthogonal. In this way we generalize a result of the author on stability of orthogonality in Euclidean spaces.     

On a Generalization of the Notion of Orthogonality and on the Riesz Groups

A method for generalizing the notion of orthogonality to arbitrary partially ordered groups is considered. In the paper, the properties of almost orthogonal elements in Riesz groups are investigated. A series of results on convex directed subgroups associated with a pair of almost orthogonal elements of a Riesz group is obtained. For these subgroups, some theorems on homomorphisms are proved.
