In this paper,we extend fermions tunneling radiation to the case of five-dimensional charged black holes by introducing a set of appropriate matrices γμ for general covariant Dirac equation of 1/2 spin charged Dirac particles in the electromagnetic field.It is expected that our result can strengthen the validity and power of the tunneling method.We take the charged Gdel black holes in minimal five-dimensional gauged supergravity for example in order to present a reasonable extension of the tunneling method.As a result,we get fermions tunneling probability of the black hole and the Hawking temperature near the event horizon.  相似文献

We study the quasinormal modes(QNMs) of massless scalar perturbations to probe the van der Waals like SBH/LBH phase transition of anti-de Sitter black holes in five-dimensional(5D) Gauss–Bonnet gravity. It is found that the signature of this SBH/LBH phase transition is detected when the slopes of the QNMs frequency change drastically and differently in small and large black holes near the critical point. The obtained results further support that the QNMs can be a dynamic probe to investigate the thermodynamic properties in black holes.  相似文献

We evaluate the quasinormal modes of massless Dirac perturbation in a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by the free static spherically symmetric quintessence using the third-order Wentzel-Kramers-Brillouin (WKB) approximation. The result shows that the massless Dirac field damps more slowly due to the presence of quintessence. The real part of the quasinormal modes increases and the absolute value of the imaginary part increases when the state parameter wq increases. In other words, the massless Dirac field decays more rapidly for the larger Wq. The peak value of potential barrier becomes higher as |k| increases and the location of peak moves along the right for fixed wq.  相似文献

As is well-known, it is very difficult to solve wave equations in curved space-time. In this paper,we find that wave equations describing massless fields of the spins s≤2 in accelerating KerrNewman black holes can be written as a compact master equation. The master equation can be separated to radial and angular equations, and both can be transformed to Heun's equation,which shows that there are analytic solutions for all the wave equations of massless spin fields.The results not only demonstrate that it is possible to study the similarity between waves of gravitational and other massless spin fields, but also it can deal with other astrophysical applications, such as quasinormal modes, scattering, stability, etc. In addition, we also derive approximate solutions of the radial equation.  相似文献

We study the entropic force effects on black holes and photons. It is found that application of an entropic analysis restricts the radial change △R of a black hole of radius RH, due to a test particle of a Schwarzschild radius Rn moving towards the black hole by △x near a black body surface, to be given by a relation RH△R = Rh△x/2, or △ R/λM = △x /2λm. We suggest a new rule regarding entropy changes in different dimensions, △S = 2πkD △l/λ, which unifies Verlinde's conjecture and the black hole entropy formula. We also propose the extension of the entropic force idea to massless particles such as photons. It is realized that there is an entropic force on a photon of energy Eγ with F = GM(Eγ/c^2)/R^2, and therefore the photon has an effective gravitational mass mγ= Eγ/c^2.  相似文献

In four-dimensional Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet(EGB)gravity,we consider the thermodynamic and phase transitions of(charged)AdS black holes.For the negative GB coefficientα<0.the system allows two physical critical points,corresponding to the reentrant phase transition.when the charge Q>2√-α.For arbitraryα>0,the system always leads to a van der Waals phase transition.We then study the quasinormal modes(QNMs)of massless scalar perturbations to probe the van der Waals-like phase transition between small and large black holes(SBH/LBH)for(charged)AdS black holes.We find that the signature of this SBH/LBH phase transition in the isobaric process can be detected since the slopes of the QNM frequencies change dramatically in small and large black holes near the critical point.The obtained results further support that QNMs can be a dynamic probe of ther-modynamic properties in black holes.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the investigation the fermion tunneling radiation of squashed black holes in the G6del universe and charged Kaluza-Klein space-time. For black holes with different dimensions, establishing a set of appropriate matrices γμ for the general covariant Dirac equation plays an important role in the semi-classical tunneling method. The partition functions of bosonic and fermionic fields in Horowitz-Strominger black hole are derived directly by quantum statistical method.Then via the improved brick-wall method (membrane model),the statistical entropy of black hole is obtained.If a proper parameter is chosen in our result,it is found out that the entropy is proportional to the area of horizon.The stripped term and the divergent logarithmic term in the original brick-wall method no longer exist.The difficulty in solving the wave equations of scalar and Dirac fields is avoided.A new neat way of calculating the entropy of various complicated black holes is offered.  相似文献

Using the third-order WKB approximation, we evaluate the quasinormal frequencies of massless Dirac field perturbation around a Reissner Nordstrom black hole surrounded by a static and spherically symmetric quintessence. We study the variation of quasinormal frequencies with the quintessential state parameter ε, the total angular momentum number |k|, the charge Q, and the overtone number n changes, respectively. Moreover, from the results we obtained, we find that the massless Dirac field damps more slowly due to the presence of quintessence.  相似文献

We discuss whether the minimally coupled massless Klein-Gordon and Dirac fields have well defined quasinormal modes in single horizon, asymptotically flat two-dimensional black holes. To get the result we solve the equations of motion in the massless limit and we also calculate the effective potentials of Schrödinger type equations. Furthermore we calculate exactly the quasinormal frequencies of the Dirac field propagating in the two-dimensional uncharged Witten black hole. A massless field propagating on spherically symmetric black hole metrics such as the Schwarzschild, Reissner–Nordström and Reissner–Nordström–de Sitter backgrounds is considered. In particular, explicit formulae in terms of transcendental functions for the scattering of massless scalar particles off black holes are derived within a Born approximation. It is shown that the conditions on the existence of the Born integral forbid a straightforward extraction of the quasi normal modes using the Born approximation for the scattering amplitude. Such a method has been used in literature. We suggest a novel, well defined method, to extract the large imaginary part of quasinormal modes via the Coulomb-like phase shift. Furthermore, we compare the numerically evaluated exact scattering amplitude with the Born one to find that the approximation is not very useful for the scattering of massless scalar, electromagnetic as well as gravitational waves from black holes.  相似文献

In this study, the scattering of fermions by a class of Bardeen black holes is investigated. After obtaining the scattering modes by solving the Dirac equation in this geometry, we use the partial wave method to derive an analytical expression for the phase shifts that enter into the definitions of partial amplitudes that define the scattering cross sections and induced polarization. It is shown that, similar to Schwarzschild and Reissner-Nordstr?m black holes, the phenomena of glory and spiral scattering are present.  相似文献

Quasinormal modes(QNMs) for Dirac perturbations of f(R) black holes(BHs) are described in this paper,involving two types of f(R) solution: f(R)(Schwarzschild) BHs and f(R)(Maxwell) BHs. With the finite difference method, the stability of the f(R) black holes(BHs) is analysed and the threshold range of f(R)(Schwarzschild) BHs and f(R)(Maxwell) BHs is defined respectively. The results show that due to the presence of the correction factor R0, the damping rate of Dirac field decreases. Meanwhile, the influence of angular quantum number values |k| on the f(R) BHs is investigated. The results indicate that the QNMs oscillation becomes tenser and damping speed slowly decreases with|k| increasing. Furthermore, under the Dirac perturbation, the stability of f(R) solutions can be reflected in the manner of Dirac QNMs. The relationships between the QNMs and the parameters(|k|, charge Q and mass m) are discussed in massless, and massive cases, by contrast to the classical BHs.  相似文献

We compute exactly the semi-classical radiation spectrum for a class of non-asymptotically flat charged dilaton black holes, the so-called linear dilaton black holes. In the high frequency regime, the temperature for these black holes generically agrees with the surface gravity result. In the special case where the black hole is massless, we show that, although the surface gravity remains finite, there is no radiation, in agreement with the fact that massless objects cannot radiate.  相似文献

In this paper we investigate the scattering of massless Dirac wave from several different black hole spacetimes (i.e. the Schwarzschild black hole, the RN extremal black hole, the Schwarzschild de Sitter black hole, and the extremal Schwarzschild de Sitter black hole) which are influenced by the cosmic string, respectively. All these cases show us that the total absorption cross sections oscillate around the geometric-optical limit and decrease with linear mass density μ of the cosmic string. All of the total scattering cross sections exhibit that the main scattering angle becomes narrower for the high partial frequency wave. Due to the influence of cosmic string, the glory peak becomes wider for larger values of linear mass density μ of the cosmic string.  相似文献

Quasinormal modes (QNMs) for massless and massive Dirac perturbations of Born-Infeld black holes (BHs) in higher dimensions are investigated. Solving the corresponding master equation in accordance with hypergeometric functions and the QNMs are evaluated. We discuss the relationships between QNM frequencies and spacetime dimensions. Meanwhile, we also discuss the stability of the Born-Infeld BH by calculating the temporal evolution of the perturbation field. Both the perturbation frequencies and the decay rate increase with increasing dimension of spacetime n. This shows that the Born-Infeld BHs become more and more unstable at higher dimensions. Furthermore, the traditional finite difference method is improved, so that it can be used to calculate the massive Dirac field. We also elucidate the dynamic evolution of Born-Infeld BHs in a massive Dirac field. Because the number of extra dimensions is related to the string scale, there is a relationship between the spacetime dimension n and the properties of Born-Infeld BHs that might be advantageous for the development of extra-dimensional brane worlds and string theory.  相似文献

We apply the confluent Heun functions to study the resonant frequencies (quasispectrum), the Hawking radiation and the scattering process of scalar waves, in a class of spacetimes, namely, the ones generated by a Kerr–Newman–Kasuya spacetime (dyon black hole) and a Reissner–Nordström black hole surrounded by a magnetic field (Ernst spacetime). In both spacetimes, the solutions for the angular and radial parts of the corresponding Klein–Gordon equations are obtained exactly, for massive and massless fields, respectively. The special cases of Kerr and Schwarzschild black holes are analyzed and the solutions obtained, as well as in the case of a Schwarzschild black hole surrounded by a magnetic field. In all these special situations, the resonant frequencies, Hawking radiation and scattering are studied.  相似文献

We clarify the purely imaginary quasinormal frequencies of a massless scalar perturbation on 3D charged-dilaton black holes. This case is quite interesting, because the step of the potential appears outside the event horizon, similar to the case of the electromagnetic perturbations on large Schwarzschild–anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes. It turns out that the potential-step type with a massless scalar perturbation provides purely imaginary quasinormal frequencies.  相似文献

There are exact solutions to Einstein’s equations with negative cosmological constant that represent black holes whose event horizons are manifolds of negative curvature, the so-called topological black holes. Among these solutions there is one, the massless topological black hole, whose mass is equal to zero. Hod proposes that in the semiclassical limit the asymptotic quasinormal frequencies determine the entropy spectrum of the black holes. Taking into account this proposal, we calculate the entropy spectrum of the massless topological black hole and we compare with the results on the entropy spectra of other topological black holes.  相似文献
