In this work, we present numerical analysis for nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation which involve Caputo‐type fractional derivatives for . The proposed method is based on utilization of fractional B‐spline basics in collocation method. The scheme can be readily obtained efficient and quite accurate with less computational work numerical result. The proposal approach transform nonlinear multi‐term time fractional differential equation into a suitable linear system of algebraic equations which can be solved by a suitable numerical method. The numerical experiments will be verify to demonstrate the effectiveness of our method for solving one‐ and two‐dimensional multi‐term time fractional differential equation.  相似文献

A second‐order finite difference/pseudospectral scheme is proposed for numerical approximation of multi‐term time fractional diffusion‐wave equation with Neumann boundary conditions. The scheme is based upon the weighted and shifted Grünwald difference operators approximation of the time fractional calculus and Gauss‐Lobatto‐Legendre‐Birkhoff (GLLB) pseudospectral method for spatial discretization. The unconditionally stability and convergence of the scheme are rigorously proved. Numerical examples are carried out to verify theoretical results.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the finite element method (FEM) for two‐dimensional linear time‐fractional Tricomi‐type equations, which is obtained from the standard two‐dimensional linear Tricomi‐type equation by replacing the first‐order time derivative with a fractional derivative (of order α, with 1 <α< 2 ). The method is based on finite element method for space and finite difference method for time. We prove that the method is unconditionally stable, and the error estimate is presented. The comparison of the FEM results with the exact solutions is made, and numerical experiments reveal that the FEM is very effective. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, a new numerical technique is proposed for solving the two‐dimensional time fractional subdiffusion equation with nonhomogeneous terms. After a transformation of the original problem, standard central difference approximation is used for the spatial discretization. For the time step, a new fractional alternating direction implicit (FADI) scheme based on the L1 approximation is considered. This FADI scheme is constructed by adding a small term, so it is different from standard FADI methods. The solvability, unconditional stability and H1 norm convergence are proved. Finally, numerical examples show the effectiveness and accuracy of our proposed method. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Numer Methods Partial Differential Eq 32: 531–547, 2016  相似文献

In this paper, a numerical procedure involving Chebyshev wavelet method has been implemented for computing the approximate solution of Riesz space fractional sine‐Gordon equation (SGE). Two‐dimensional Chebyshev wavelet method is implemented to calculate the numerical solution of space fractional SGE. The fractional SGE is considered as an interpolation between the classical SGE (corresponding to α = 2) and nonlocal SGE (corresponding to α = 1). As a consequence, the approximate solutions of fractional SGE obtained by using Chebyshev wavelet approach were compared with those derived by using modified homotopy analysis method with Fourier transform. A high‐accuracy numerical approach for a nonhomogeneous time‐fractional diffusion equation with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions is described in this paper. The time‐fractional derivative is described in the sense of Riemann‐Liouville and discretized by the backward Euler scheme. A fourth‐order optimal cubic B‐spline collocation (OCBSC) method is used to discretize the space variable. The stability analysis with respect to time discretization is carried out, and it is shown that the method is unconditionally stable. Convergence analysis of the method is performed. Two numerical examples are considered to demonstrate the performance of the method and validate the theoretical results. It is shown that the proposed method is of order Ox4 + Δt2 ? α) convergence, where α ∈ (0,1) . Moreover, the impact of fractional‐order derivative on the solution profile is investigated. Numerical results obtained by the present method are compared with those obtained by the method based on standard cubic B‐spline collocation method. The CPU time for present numerical method and the method based on cubic B‐spline collocation method are provided.  相似文献

The local radial basis function (RBF) method is a promising solver for variable‐order time fractional diffusion equation (TFDE), as it overcomes the computational burden of the traditional global method. Application of the local RBF method is limited to Fickian diffusion, while real‐world diffusion is usually non‐Fickian in multiple dimensions. This article is the first to extend the application of the local RBF method to two‐dimensional, variable‐order, time fractional diffusion equation in complex shaped domains. One of the main advantages of the local RBF method is that only the nodes located in the subdomain, surrounding the local point, need to be considered when calculating the numerical solution at this point. This approach can perform well with large scale problems and can also mitigate otherwise ill‐conditioned problems. The proposed numerical approach is checked against two examples with curved boundaries and known analytical solutions. Shape parameter and subdomain node number are investigated for their influence on the accuracy of the local RBF solution. Furthermore, quantitative analysis, based on root‐mean‐square error, maximum absolute error, and maximum error of the partial derivative indicates that the local RBF method is accurate and effective in approximating the variable‐order TFDE in two‐dimensional irregular domains.  相似文献

The determination of a space‐dependent source term along with the solution for a 1‐dimensional time fractional diffusion equation with nonlocal boundary conditions involving a parameter β>0 is considered. The fractional derivative is generalization of the Riemann‐Liouville and Caputo fractional derivatives usually known as Hilfer fractional derivative. We proved existence and uniqueness results for the solution of the inverse problem while over‐specified datum at 2 different time is given. The over‐specified datum at 2 time allows us to avoid initial condition in terms of fractional integral associated with Hilfer fractional derivative.  相似文献

This paper is devoted to the well‐posedness for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation and time‐space fractional Navier‐Stokes equations by α‐stable noise. The spatial regularity and the temporal regularity of the nonlocal stochastic convolution are firstly established, and then the existence and uniqueness of the global mild solution are obtained by the Banach fixed point theorem and Mittag‐Leffler functions, respectively. Numerical simulations for time‐space fractional Ginzburg‐Landau equation are provided to verify the analysis results.  相似文献

In this paper, we compared two different methods, one numerical technique, viz Legendre multiwavelet method, and the other analytical technique, viz optimal homotopy asymptotic method (OHAM), for solving fractional‐order Kaup–Kupershmidt (KK) equation. Two‐dimensional Legendre multiwavelet expansion together with operational matrices of fractional integration and derivative of wavelet functions is used to compute the numerical solution of nonlinear time‐fractional KK equation. The approximate solutions of time fractional Kaup–Kupershmidt equation thus obtained by Legendre multiwavelet method are compared with the exact solutions as well as with OHAM. The present numerical scheme is quite simple, effective, and expedient for obtaining numerical solution of fractional KK equation in comparison to analytical approach of OHAM. In this paper, we consider a nonhomogeneous space‐time fractional telegraph equation defined in a bounded space domain, which is obtained from the standard telegraph equation by replacing the first‐order or second‐order time derivative by the Caputo fractional derivative , α > 0 and the Laplacian operator by the fractional Laplacian ( ? Δ)β ∕ 2, β ∈ (0,2]. We discuss and derive the analytical solutions under nonhomogeneous Dirichlet and Neumann boundary conditions by using the method of separation of variables. The obtained solutions are expressed through multivariate Mittag‐Leffler type functions. Special cases of solutions are also discussed. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is dedicated to the Oldroyd‐B model with fractional dissipation (?Δ)ατ for any α > 0. We establish the global smooth solutions to the Oldroyd‐B model in the corotational case with arbitrarily small fractional powers of the Laplacian in two spatial dimensions. Moreover, in the Appendix, we provide some a priori estimates to the Oldroyd‐B model in the critical case, which may be useful and of interest for future improvement. Therefore, our result is closer to the resolution of the well‐known global regularity issue on the critical 2D Oldroyd‐B model. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, time‐splitting spectral approximation technique has been proposed for Chen‐Lee‐Liu (CLL) equation involving Riesz fractional derivative. The proposed numerical technique is efficient, unconditionally stable, and of second‐order accuracy in time and of spectral accuracy in space. Moreover, it conserves the total density in the discretized level. In order to examine the results, with the aid of weighted shifted Grünwald‐Letnikov formula for approximating Riesz fractional derivative, Crank‐Nicolson weighted and shifted Grünwald difference (CN‐WSGD) method has been applied for Riesz fractional CLL equation. The comparison of results reveals that the proposed time‐splitting spectral method is very effective and simple for obtaining single soliton numerical solution of Riesz fractional CLL equation.  相似文献

In this paper, a time‐fractional diffusion equation with singular source term is considered. The Caputo fractional derivative with order 0<α ?1 is applied to the temporal variable. Under specific initial and boundary conditions, we find that the time‐fractional diffusion equation presents quenching solution that is not globally well‐defined as time goes to infinity. The quenching time is estimated by using the eigenfunction of linear fractional diffusion equation. Moreover, by implementing a finite difference scheme, we give some numerical simulations to demonstrate the theoretical analysis. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

An inverse problem of determining a time‐dependent source term from the total energy measurement of the system (the over‐specified condition) for a space‐time fractional diffusion equation is considered. The space‐time fractional diffusion equation is obtained from classical diffusion equation by replacing time derivative with fractional‐order time derivative and Sturm‐Liouville operator by fractional‐order Sturm‐Liouville operator. The existence and uniqueness results are proved by using eigenfunction expansion method. Several special cases are discussed, and particular examples are provided.  相似文献

In this paper, a new computational scheme based on operational matrices (OMs) of two‐dimensional wavelets is proposed for the solution of variable‐order (VO) fractional partial integro‐differential equations (PIDEs). To accomplish this method, first OMs of integration and VO fractional derivative (FD) have been derived using two‐dimensional Legendre wavelets. By implementing two‐dimensional wavelets approximations and the OMs of integration and variable‐order fractional derivative (VO‐FD) along with collocation points, the VO fractional partial PIDEs are reduced into the system of algebraic equations. In addition to this, some useful theorems are discussed to establish the convergence analysis and error estimate of the proposed numerical technique. Furthermore, computational efficiency and applicability are examined through some illustrative examples.  相似文献

In this paper, a new two‐dimensional fractional polynomials based on the orthonormal Bernstein polynomials has been introduced to provide an approximate solution of nonlinear fractional partial Volterra integro‐differential equations. For this aim, the fractional‐order orthogonal Bernstein polynomials (FOBPs) are constructed, and its operational matrices of integration, fractional‐order integration, and derivative in the Caputo sense and product operational matrix are derived. These operational matrices are utilized to reduce the under study problem to a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. Using the approximation of FOBPs, the convergence analysis and error estimate associated to the proposed problem have been investigated. Finally, several examples are included to clarify the validity, efficiency, and applicability of the proposed technique via FOBPs approximation.  相似文献

In this paper, a fast second‐order accurate difference scheme is proposed for solving the space–time fractional equation. The temporal Caputo derivative is approximated by ?L2 ‐1σ formula which employs the sum‐of‐exponential approximation to the kernel function appeared in Caputo derivative. The second‐order linear spline approximation is applied to the spatial Riemann–Liouville derivative. At each time step, a fast algorithm, the preconditioned conjugate gradient normal residual method with a circulant preconditioner (PCGNR), is used to solve the resulting system that reduces the storage and computational cost significantly. The unique solvability and unconditional convergence of the difference scheme are shown by the discrete energy method. Numerical examples are given to verify numerical accuracy and efficiency of the difference schemes.  相似文献

In this paper, a numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media will be discussed. For the solution of FPDEs, we developed a numerical collocation method using an algorithm based on two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation, which is proposed for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media. By implementing the partial Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative operators, two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation and its operational matrix along with collocation method are used to convert FPDEs first into weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations and then converted weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations into system of algebraic equation. Some results concerning the convergence analysis and error analysis are obtained. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique. The shifted Legendre collocation method is used to solve the two‐dimensional fractional order aerosol equation with initial and boundary conditions. The solution profile of the equation is presented graphically for different cases. The important feature of the article is graphical exhibitions of the effect of the size of the aerosol particles and also the temporal derivative on the solution profile. The salient feature of the article is the demonstration of lower variation of mass concentration with the change in time level in fractional order systems than that in integer order system. A drive has been taken towards the tabular and pictorial presentations of a comparison of the numerical solution of our proposed method with an analytical solution of an existing problem through error analysis which conforms super‐linearly convergence rate of the proposed method to validate its efficiency and effectiveness.  相似文献
