In this paper, a new two‐dimensional fractional polynomials based on the orthonormal Bernstein polynomials has been introduced to provide an approximate solution of nonlinear fractional partial Volterra integro‐differential equations. For this aim, the fractional‐order orthogonal Bernstein polynomials (FOBPs) are constructed, and its operational matrices of integration, fractional‐order integration, and derivative in the Caputo sense and product operational matrix are derived. These operational matrices are utilized to reduce the under study problem to a nonlinear system of algebraic equations. Using the approximation of FOBPs, the convergence analysis and error estimate associated to the proposed problem have been investigated. Finally, several examples are included to clarify the validity, efficiency, and applicability of the proposed technique via FOBPs approximation.  相似文献

The local radial basis function (RBF) method is a promising solver for variable‐order time fractional diffusion equation (TFDE), as it overcomes the computational burden of the traditional global method. Application of the local RBF method is limited to Fickian diffusion, while real‐world diffusion is usually non‐Fickian in multiple dimensions. This article is the first to extend the application of the local RBF method to two‐dimensional, variable‐order, time fractional diffusion equation in complex shaped domains. One of the main advantages of the local RBF method is that only the nodes located in the subdomain, surrounding the local point, need to be considered when calculating the numerical solution at this point. This approach can perform well with large scale problems and can also mitigate otherwise ill‐conditioned problems. The proposed numerical approach is checked against two examples with curved boundaries and known analytical solutions. Shape parameter and subdomain node number are investigated for their influence on the accuracy of the local RBF solution. Furthermore, quantitative analysis, based on root‐mean‐square error, maximum absolute error, and maximum error of the partial derivative indicates that the local RBF method is accurate and effective in approximating the variable‐order TFDE in two‐dimensional irregular domains.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a novel discrete scheme based on Genocchi polynomials and fractional Laguerre functions to solve multiterm variable‐order time‐fractional partial differential equations (M‐V‐TFPDEs) in the large interval. In this purpose, the accurate modified operational matrices are constructed to reduce the problems into a system of algebraic equations. Also, the computational algorithm based on the method and modified operational matrices in the large interval is easily implemented. Furthermore, we discuss the error estimation of the proposed method. Ultimately, to confirm our theoretical analysis and accuracy of numerical approach, several examples are presented.  相似文献

Since population behaviors possess the characteristic of history memory, we, in this paper, introduce time fractional‐order derivatives into a diffusive Gause‐type predator‐prey model, which is time fractional‐order reaction‐diffusion equations and a generalized form of its corresponding first‐derivative model. For this kind of model, we prove the existence and uniqueness of a global positive solution by using the theory of evolution equations and the comparison principle of time fractional‐order partial differential equations. Besides, we obtain the stability and Hopf bifurcation of the Gause‐type predator‐prey model in the forms of the time fractional‐order ordinary equations and of the time fractional‐order reaction‐diffusion equations, respectively. Our results show that the stable region of the parameters in these 2 models can be enlarged by the time fractional‐order derivatives. Some numerical simulations are made to verify our results.  相似文献

This paper presents a shifted fractional‐order Jacobi orthogonal function (SFJF) based on the definition of the classical Jacobi polynomial. A new fractional integral operational matrix of the SFJF is presented and derived. We propose the spectral Tau method, in conjunction with the operational matrices of the Riemann–Liouville fractional integral for SFJF and derivative for Jacobi polynomial, to solve a class of time‐fractional partial differential equations with variable coefficients. In this algorithm, the approximate solution is expanded by means of both SFJFs for temporal discretization and Jacobi polynomials for spatial discretization. The proposed tau scheme, both in temporal and spatial discretizations, successfully reduced such problem into a system of algebraic equations, which is far easier to be solved. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the high accuracy and superiority of the proposed algorithm over existing ones. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this article, we consider the finite element method (FEM) for two‐dimensional linear time‐fractional Tricomi‐type equations, which is obtained from the standard two‐dimensional linear Tricomi‐type equation by replacing the first‐order time derivative with a fractional derivative (of order α, with 1 <α< 2 ). The method is based on finite element method for space and finite difference method for time. We prove that the method is unconditionally stable, and the error estimate is presented. The comparison of the FEM results with the exact solutions is made, and numerical experiments reveal that the FEM is very effective. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we develop an efficient matrix method based on two‐dimensional orthonormal Bernstein polynomials (2D‐OBPs) to provide approximate solution of linear and nonlinear weakly singular partial integro‐differential equations (PIDEs). First, we approximate all functions involved in the considerable problem via 2D‐OBPs. Then, by using the operational matrices of integration, differentiation, and product, the solution of Volterra singular PIDEs is transformed to the solution of a linear or nonlinear system of algebraic equations which can be solved via some suitable numerical methods. With a small number of bases, we can find a reasonable approximate solution. Moreover, we establish some useful theorems for discussing convergence analysis and obtaining an error estimate associated with the proposed method. Finally, we solve some illustrative examples by employing the presented method to show the validity, efficiency, high accuracy, and applicability of the proposed technique.  相似文献

The main purpose of this work is to investigate an initial boundary value problem related to a suitable class of variable order fractional integro‐partial differential equations with a weakly singular kernel. To discretize the problem in the time direction, a finite difference method will be used. Then, the Sinc‐collocation approach combined with the double exponential transformation is employed to solve the problem in each time level. The proposed numerical algorithm is completely described and the convergence analysis of the numerical solution is presented. Finally, some illustrative examples are given to demonstrate the pertinent features of the proposed algorithm.  相似文献

In this paper, a numerical solution of fractional partial differential equations (FPDEs) for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media will be discussed. For the solution of FPDEs, we developed a numerical collocation method using an algorithm based on two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation, which is proposed for electromagnetic waves in dielectric media. By implementing the partial Riemann–Liouville fractional derivative operators, two‐dimensional shifted Legendre polynomials approximation and its operational matrix along with collocation method are used to convert FPDEs first into weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations and then converted weakly singular fractional partial integro‐differential equations into system of algebraic equation. Some results concerning the convergence analysis and error analysis are obtained. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique. Purpose In this article, a novel computational method is introduced for solving the fractional nonlinear oscillator differential equations on the semi‐infinite domain. The purpose of the proposed method is to get better and more accurate results. Design/methodology/approach The proposed method is the combination of the sine‐cosine wavelets and Picard technique. The operational matrices of fractional‐order integration for sine‐cosine wavelets are derived and constructed. Picard technique is used to convert the fractional nonlinear oscillator equations into a sequence of discrete fractional linear differential equations. Operational matrices of sine‐cosine wavelets are utilized to transformed the obtained sequence of discrete equations into the systems of algebraic equations and the solutions of algebraic systems lead to the solution of fractional nonlinear oscillator equations. Findings The convergence and supporting analysis of the method are investigated. The operational matrices contains many zero entries, which lead to the high efficiency of the method, and reasonable accuracy is achieved even with less number of collocation points. Our results are in good agreement with exact solutions and more accurate as compared with homotopy perturbation method, variational iteration method, and Adomian decomposition method. Originality/value Many engineers can utilize the presented method for solving their nonlinear fractional models.  相似文献

In this paper, a fast numerical algorithm based on the Taylor wavelets is proposed for finding the numerical solutions of the fractional integro‐differential equations with weakly singular kernels. The properties of Taylor wavelets are given, and the operational matrix of fractional integration is constructed. These wavelets are utilized to reduce the solution of the given fractional integro‐differential equation to the solution of a linear system of algebraic equations. Also, convergence of the proposed method is studied. Illustrative examples are included to demonstrate the validity and applicability of the technique.  相似文献

In this article, we consider two‐dimensional fractional subdiffusion equations with mixed derivatives. A high‐order compact scheme is proposed to solve the problem. We establish a sufficient condition and show that the scheme converges with fourth order in space and second order in time under this condition.© 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, we investigate in more detail some useful theorems related to conformable fractional derivative (CFD) and integral and introduce two classes of conformable fractional Sturm‐Liouville problems (CFSLPs): namely, regular and singular CFSLPs. For both classes, we study some of the basic properties of the Sturm‐Liouville theory. In the class of r‐CFSLPs, we discuss two types of CFSLPs which include left‐ and right‐sided CFDs, each of order α∈(n,n+1], and prove properties of the eigenvalues and the eigenfunctions in a certain Hilbert space. Also, we apply a fixed‐point theorem for proving the existence and uniqueness of the eigenfunctions. As an operator for the class of s‐CFSLPs, we first derive two fractional types of the hypergeometric differential equations of order α∈(0,1] and obtain their analytical eigensolutions as Gauss hypergeometric functions. Afterwards, we define the conformable fractional Legendre polynomial/functions (CFLP/Fs) as Jacobi polynomial and investigate their basic properties. Moreover, the conformable fractional integral Legendre transforms (CFILTs) based on CFLP/Fs‐I and ‐II are introduced, and using these new transforms, an effective procedure for solving explicitly certain ordinary and partial conformable fractional differential equations (CFDEs) are given. Finally, as a theoretical application, some fractional diffusion equations are solved.  相似文献

In this paper, the ‐expansion method is proposed to establish hyperbolic and trigonometric function solutions for fractional differential‐difference equations with the modified Riemann–Liouville derivative. The fractional complex transform is proposed to convert a fractional partial differential‐difference equation into its differential‐difference equation of integer order. We obtain the hyperbolic and periodic function solutions of the nonlinear time‐fractional Toda lattice equations and relativistic Toda lattice system. The proposed method is more effective and powerful for obtaining exact solutions for nonlinear fractional differential–difference equations and systems. In this paper, we study the numerical solution to time‐fractional partial differential equations with variable coefficients that involve temporal Caputo derivative. A spectral method based on Gegenbauer polynomials is taken for approximating the solution of the given time‐fractional partial differential equation in time and a collocation method in space. The suggested method reduces this type of equation to the solution of a linear algebraic system. Finally, some numerical examples are presented to illustrate the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper reports a new Cartesian‐grid collocation method based on radial‐basis‐function networks (RBFNs) for numerically solving elliptic partial differential equations in irregular domains. The domain of interest is embedded in a Cartesian grid, and the governing equation is discretized by using a collocation approach. The new features here are (a) one‐dimensional integrated RBFNs are employed to represent the variable along each line of the grid, resulting in a significant improvement of computational efficiency, (b) the present method does not require complicated interpolation techniques for the treatment of Dirichlet boundary conditions in order to achieve a high level of accuracy, and (c) normal derivative boundary conditions are imposed by means of integration constants. The method is verified through the solution of second‐ and fourth‐order PDEs; accurate results and fast convergence rates are obtained. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this study, we derive optimal uniform error bounds for moving least‐squares (MLS) mesh‐free point collocation (also called finite point method) when applied to solve second‐order elliptic partial integro‐differential equations (PIDEs). In the special case of elliptic partial differential equations (PDEs), we show that our estimate improves the results of Cheng and Cheng (Appl. Numer. Math. 58 (2008), no. 6, 884–898) both in terms of the used error norm (here the uniform norm and there the discrete vector norm) and the obtained order of convergence. We then present optimal convergence rate estimates for second‐order elliptic PIDEs. We proceed by some numerical experiments dealing with elliptic PDEs that confirm the obtained theoretical results. The article concludes with numerical approximation of the linear parabolic PIDE arising from European option pricing problem under Merton's and Kou's jump‐diffusion models. The presented computational results (including the computation of option Greeks) and comparisons with other competing approaches suggest that the MLS collocation scheme is an efficient and reliable numerical method to solve elliptic and parabolic PIDEs arising from applied areas such as financial engineering.  相似文献

Based on the superconvergent approximation at some point (depending on the fractional order α, but not belonging to the mesh points) for Grünwald discretization to fractional derivative, we develop a series of high‐order quasi‐compact schemes for space fractional diffusion equations. Because of the quasi‐compactness of the derived schemes, no points beyond the domain are used for all the high‐order schemes including second‐order, third‐order, fourth‐order, and even higher‐order schemes; moreover, the algebraic equations for all the high‐order schemes have the completely same matrix structure. The stability and convergence analysis for some typical schemes are made; the techniques of treating the fractional derivatives with nonhomogeneous boundaries are introduced; and extensive numerical experiments are performed to confirm the theoretical analysis or verify the convergence orders. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this article, a kind of meshless local radial point interpolation (MLRPI) method is proposed to two‐dimensional fractional‐time convection‐diffusion‐reaction equations and satisfactory agreements are archived. This method is based on meshless methods and benefits from collocation ideas but it does not belong to the traditional global meshless collocation methods. In MLRPI method, it does not need any kind of integration locally or globally over small quadrature domains which is essential in the finite element method and those meshless methods based on Galerkin weak form. Also, it is not needed to determine shape parameter which plays important role in collocation method based on the radial basis functions (Kansa's method). Therefore, computational costs of this kind of MLRPI method is less expensive. The stability and convergence of this meshless approach are discussed and theoretically proven. It is proved that the present meshless formulation is very effective for modeling and simulation of fractional differential equations. Furthermore, the numerical studies on sensitivity analysis and convergence analysis show the stability and reliable rates of convergence. © 2017 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
