A Riemann-Hilbert Approach to the Harry-Dym Equation on the Line

In this paper, the authors consider the Harry-Dym equation on the line with decaying initial value. They construct the solution of the Harry-Dym equation via the solution of a 2 × 2 matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem in the complex plane. Further, onecusp soliton solution is expressed in terms of the Riemann-Hilbert problem.

SCALE-INVARIANT SOLUTION FOR FRACTIONAL ANOMALOUS DIFFUSION EOUATION

Fractional diffusion equation for transport phenomena in fractal media is an integro-partial differential equation. For solving the problem of this kind of equation the invariants of the group of scaling transformations are given and then used for deriving the integro-ordinary differential equation for the scale-invariant solution. With the help of Mellin transform the scale-invariant solution is obtained in terms of Fox functions. And the series and asymptotic representations for the solution are considered.     

Long-time asymptotics for the initial-boundary value problem of coupled Hirota equation on the half-line

The object of this work is to investigate the initial-boundary value problem for coupled Hirota equation on the half-line.We show that the solution of the coupled Hirota equation can be expressed in terms of the solution of a 3×3 matrix Riemann-Hilbert problem formulated in the complex k-plane.The relevant jump matrices are explicitly given in terms of the matrix-valued spectral functions s(k)and S(k)that depend on the initial data and boundary values,respectively.Then,applying nonlinear steepest descent techniques to the associated 3×3 matrix-valued Riemann-Hilbert problem,we can give the precise leading-order asymptotic formulas and uniform error estimates for the solution of the coupled Hirota equation.     

GLOBAL EXISTENCE OF SOLUTIONS OF CAUCHY PROBLEM FOR GENERALIZED BBM-BURGERS EQUATION

In this paper, the existence and the uniqueness of the local generalized solution and the local classical solution of the Cauchy problem for the generalized BBM-Burgers equationare proved. The existence and the uniqueness of the global generalized solution and the global classical solution for the Cauchy problem of equation （1） are proved when n = 3, 2, 1. Moreover, the decay property of the solution is discussed.

A Stability Theorem for Constrained Optimal Control Problems

This paper presents the stability of difference approximations of an optimal control problem for a quasilinear parabolic equation with controls in the coefficients, boundary conditions and additional restrictions. The optimal control problem has been convered to one of the optimization problem using a penalty function technique. The difference approximations problem for the considered problem is obtained. The estimations of stability of the solution of difference approximations problem are proved. The stability estimation of the solution of difference approximations problem by the controls is obtained.

Least-Squares Solutions of the Equation AX=B Over Anti-Hermitian Generalized Hamiltonian Matrices

Upon using the denotative theorem of anti-Hermitian generalized Hamiltonian matrices,we solve effectively the least-squares problem min‖AX-B‖over anti-Hermitian generalized Hamiltonian matrices.We derive some necessary and sufficient conditions for solvability of the problem and an expression for general solution of the matrix equation AX=B.In addition,we also obtain the expression for the solution of a relevant optimal approximate problem.
