色散管理是在波分复用系统中, 周期地使用色散符号相反的光纤,使总的路径平均色散系数接近于零,系统中的色散就得到了补偿的一种技术.研究了波分复用集总放大色散管理系统中交叉相位调制的不稳定性,解析和数值研究表明,当路经平均色散系数表现为反常色散时,存在多阶边带;当路经平均色散系数表现为正常色散时,解析研究表明只存在最低阶边带,数值模拟显示噪声谱中最低阶边带噪声谱功率最强,解析和数值研究得到的结论一致. 关键词: 色散管理 波分复用 边带不稳定性  相似文献

利用两种方法研究了有源放大器波分复用系统光纤链路中交叉 相位调制的不稳定性.首先利用非线性薛定谔耦合方程,在小幅度扰动下,研究了正常色散 和反常色散光纤中的交叉相位调制不稳定性. 由于相位噪声涨落,利用分裂步长傅里叶 变换法与Monte-Carlo法,模拟了有源放大器链路中反常色散和正常色散情况下的调制不稳定性. 两种方法得到的结论基本一致. 关键词: 调制不稳定性 交叉相位调制 斯托克斯带 反斯托克斯 带  相似文献

以三、四阶色散项的耦合非线性薛定谔方程为基础,考虑光纤损耗及高阶色散,研究了双光束在零色散附近的交叉相位调制不稳定性.理论上导出描述交叉相位调制不稳定性的色散方程,并进行数值模拟计算.结果表明:由于四阶色散的影响,在光纤的正常、反常色散区,交叉相位调制不稳定性均发生在两个频谱区.如光脉冲工作在最小群速度色散附近时,四阶色散对光纤的交叉相位调制不稳定性将起决定性作用,可使增益谱出现一个新的峰值.光纤损耗使增益的谱宽变窄.对给定的传输距离,随着光纤向零色散附近靠近,两个频谱区谱宽增加直到相互重叠.数值分析了两光波有差别时的交叉相位调制不稳定性.  相似文献

在考虑线性损耗的情况下,对硅基纳米波导中皮秒脉冲传输交叉相位调制不稳定性进行了仿真研究。采用微扰和线性稳定性分析方法,理论推导了调制不稳定性产生所满足的色散关系和调制不稳定性增益谱表达式。分析了脉冲光功率、线性损耗和群速度色散系数等参量对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响,并进行了仿真分析。结果表明,即使在微弱的入射光功率下,仍然存在强烈的交叉相位调制不稳定性现象;交叉相位调制不稳定性不仅可以在反常色散区出现,而且在正常色散区也会发生。波导的线性损耗对交叉相位调制不稳定性增益谱有明显影响。  相似文献

液晶空间光调制器的离散型相位调制和像素间隙是4f脉冲整形系统的主要失真原因,基于以上因素的分析,建立了完善的4f脉冲整形系统数学模型,数值模拟了不同相位调制变化率、不同像元尺寸、不同间隙尺寸以及不同色散关系下的离散型相位调制和像素间隙导致的失真情况。模拟结果表明:离散型相位调制会导致整形脉冲中出现副本脉冲,相位调制变化率越大或像元尺寸越大均会导致这种副本脉冲越强,输出目标脉冲失真越严重;像素间隙也会导致整形脉冲中出现副本脉冲,间隙尺寸越大会导致这种副本脉冲越强,输出目标脉冲失真越严重;两种副本脉冲均呈等间隔分布,其周期由每个像元对应的频谱宽度决定,非线性光谱色散会使副本脉冲啁啾化且强度变小。  相似文献

应用多光子非线性Compton散射模型和非线性Schrodinge方程,将入射光和Compton散射光作为形成等离子体交叉相位调制不稳定性的新机制,给出了高阶色散和高阶非线性下等离子体交叉相位调制不稳定性增益谱表达式,并进行了数值模拟.结果表明:与Compton散射前相比,Comnpton散射下的四阶色散使等负色散区的交叉相位调制不稳定性的两个频谱宽度比正色散区的宽,增益谱第二谱区及其峰值更接近零点,即使小功率光波,高频散射光的高阶色散和高阶非线性对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响依然不可忽略.正五阶非线性使交叉相位调制不稳定性加强,第二谱区增益谱宽和峰值比第一谱区增大得更为明显;负五阶非线性对交叉相位调制不稳定性起抑制作用,五阶非线性系数绝对值越大,抑制作用越明显.散射使等离子体损耗对交叉相位调制不稳定性的影响减弱,随传输距离增加,增益谱宽缓慢减小.这主要是由于散射产生的非线性有效地补偿因传输距离增加而减小非线性的缘故.  相似文献

宽带脉冲在钕玻璃放大器中传输时,由于受到增益窄化和增益饱和效应的影响,脉冲频谱将受到调制,从而产生边带丢失或者频谱两侧失衡,进而导致脉冲时间波形产生调制。针对不同的宽带光源模型,数值模拟了放大器输出波形的幅度调制,分析了增益带宽、输入脉冲带宽及增益曲线中心波长相对输入脉冲中心波长的偏差等因素对输出脉冲调制度的影响。结果表明:不同的宽带光源脉冲经过钕玻璃放大器后,均会产生不同程度的幅度调制;啁啾堆积脉冲比正弦相位调制脉冲产生的幅度调制小。  相似文献

The birefringence of an air-silica microstructure fiber has been studied by measurement of the fiber polarization mode dispersion (PMD) over the wavelength range 545-640 nm. The experimental results are shown to be in good agreement with vectorial numerical calculations, assuming an elliptical core with an eccentricity of 7%. We also report controlled experiments studying nonlinear vectorial modulation instability in the fiber, yielding 3.9-THz modulational instability sideband shifts that are in good agreement with theoretical predictions based on the calculated fiber dispersion and PMD characteristics.  相似文献

We show that the gain saturation of semiconductor optical amplifiers can lead to enhanced sideband instability in soliton transmissions, provided that the amplifier spacing is comparable with the dispersion length. With sliding filters the pulse can be stabilized and the radiation created is partially absorbed.  相似文献

A novel method of simultaneous realization of optical carrier-suppression and single-sideband modulation using fiber Fabry-Perot tunable filter is presented. In order to enhance transmission performance of radio over fiber links, we use a fiber Fabry-Perot tunable filter to filter out one sideband as well as suppress the optical carrier power. The results demonstrate 20.5dB and 14.2dB improvement in the signal noise ratios when 18GHz and 10GHz microwave signals carrying 5Mbit/s quadrature-phase-shift-keyed (QPSK) format data is transmitted over 35 km single mode fiber, respectively.  相似文献

Four-wave mixing induced by modulation instability in a single-mode fiber is analyzed from the phase-matching point of view. For the two-channel transmission, a method is proposed to select the four-wave-mixing-induced sidebands, which is based on the proper use of a continuous-wave and a pulse as light sources. We find that a mass of sidebands are generated in the modulation instability resonance region, and the power of the sideband increases with not only the peak power of the pump pulse but also the continuous-wave power which acts as a seed. The research will provide guidance for fiber communication and sensing systems using wavelength division multiplexing technology.  相似文献

The effects of direct current (dc) bias-drifting on radio on fiber (RoF) links are quantitative investigated and simulated. Single sideband (SSB) modulation and carrier suppressed double sideband (CS-DSB) modulation RoF links are considered, power variation of targeted signal and harmonic suppression on account for bias-drifting are calculated and evaluated. Our results suggest that power variation can be maintained within 1.1 dB with dc bias drift ε less than 5% in the SSB modulation RoF link and the degradation of harmonic suppression is evident with ε exceed 2% in the CS-DSB modulation RoF link.  相似文献

In this work, the modified particle swarm optimization is used as an optimization tool to determine the set of wavelengths and power levels of pumps that delivers a flat gain spectrum for Raman fiber amplifiers. The average power analysis technique is used as a numerical method to solve the coupled Raman amplifier equations. By combining the modified particle swarm optimization and average power analysis technique an efficient algorithm for the design of flat-gain-spectrum broadband Raman fiber amplifiers is constructed. Application of this algorithm to the design of flat-gain-spectrum broadband Raman fiber amplifiers shows that the design efficiency of the new method is improved by 1-2 orders of magnitude compared with similar implementations previously reported in the literature. A 4-backward-pump gain-flattened Raman amplifier with bandwidth of 100-nm and maximum gain ripple of <1.0 dB is designed to demonstrate the technique.  相似文献

A theoretical formulation is compared with numerical modeling and experimental results. The inherent difference from sideband generation in soliton lasers is discussed. We study experimentally modulational instability in a normally dispersive bimodal fiber under modal group-velocity-matching conditions. In the strong pump depletion regime, higher order sideband harmonics detected in the output spectra as well as autocorrelation measurements reveal the formation of subpicosecond domain-wall structures. Across these temporal structures the electromagnetic field distribution switches abruptly between the two transverse modes of the fiber. These structures are reminiscent of the so-called domain-wall soliton. Our results constitute therefore an experimental indication of the existence of this fundamental soliton.  相似文献
