Abstract  

A series of new acrylic acid ethyl esters of quinolinones were synthesized from 4-(bromomethyl)quinolinones and screened for in vitro antimicrobial and in vivo analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities. Most of the compounds with chloro substitution at the C-6 or C-7 position in the quinolinone moiety and a methoxy group in the aryloxy moiety showed potent antibacterial and antifungal activities when compared with non-halogenated quinolinones and the quinolinones bearing a CH3 at the C-8 position. In a pharmacological evaluation, the halogen substitution at the C-6 or C-7 position in quinolinones was found to enhance both analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of the molecule when compared with a simple unsubstituted (non-halogenated) quinolinone. The structures of all newly synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and FAB-MS.  相似文献

Abstract  

A series of differently substituted 2,4-diaryl-3-azabicyclo[3.3.1]nonan-9-one oximes have been synthesized and their 1H and 13C NMR chemical shifts have been unambiguously assigned using H,H-COSY, NOESY, HSQC, and HMBC spectral data. On the basis of the NMR studies, irrespective of the nature and position of the substituents, all reported compounds exist in twin-chair conformation with equatorial disposition of the phenyl groups at C-2 and C-4 of the 3-azabicyclononane moiety. Among the synthesized oxime derivatives, compounds with halo-substituents at ortho/para positions of the phenyl showed good antifungal profile against all tested organisms.  相似文献

A series of new 1,3,4‐oxadiazole/thiadiazole and 1,2,4‐triazole derivatives have been synthesized starting from 2‐aryl‐4‐methylthiazol‐5‐carbohydrazides and isonicotinic acid hydrazide. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectrometry. The synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity, assessed as growth inhibition diameter. Some of them showed good antibacterial activity against gram positive Staphylococcus aureus, while the antibacterial activity against Listeria monocytogenes, Escherichia coli, and Salmonella typhymurium and antifungal activity against Candida albicans was modest. None of the tested compounds showed inhibitory activity against gram positive bacteria Enterococcus faecalis and Bacillus cereus and against gram negative bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa.  相似文献

A new series of benzosuberone-piperazine hybrids 6a to j were designed and synthesized efficiently in good yields and their structures were confirmed by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, ESI-MS and HRMS. The newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in vitro antimicrobial activity against Gram positive, Gram negative bacterial strains and a fungal strain. Among the synthesized compounds, compounds 6c , 6d , 6e , 6f , 6g and 6h exhibited potent antibacterial activity with MIC value of 1.9 μg/mL against Gram positive and Gram negative organisms.  相似文献

A series of novel thio-triazole derivatives including thiols, thioethers and thiones as well as some corresponding triazolium compounds were conveniently and efficiently synthesized from commercially available halobenzyl halides and thiosemicarbazide. All the new compounds were characterized by 1 H NMR, 13 C NMR, FTIR, MS and HRMS spectra. Their antibacterial and antifungal activities in vitro were evaluated against four Gram-positive bacteria, four Gram-negative bacteria and two fungi by two-fold serial dilution technique. The preliminary bioassay indicated that some prepared triazoles exhibited effective antibacterial and antifungal activities. Especially, 3,4-dichlorobenzyl triazolethione and its triazolium derivatives displayed the most potent activities against all the tested strains.  相似文献

Abstract  

Direct reductive amination of 1,3-diphenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde and 3-(4-methylphenyl)-1-phenyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carbaldehyde with various substituted aromatic amines using NaBH4 in the presence of I2 as reducing agent is described. The reaction has been carried out in anhydrous methanol under neutral conditions at room temperature. The structure of newly synthesized diphenyl pyrazolylmethylanilines was established on the basis of IR, 1H, 13C NMR, and mass spectral data. All diphenyl pyrazolylmethylaniline derivatives were tested in vitro for their antifungal and antibacterial activity against different strains of fungi and bacteria. Most of the compound exhibited considerable antifungal activity but poor antibacterial activity against the test strains.  相似文献

A succession of new isolongifolenone oxime derivatives have been designed and synthesized. The structures of these compounds were identified by IR, 1H‐NMR, 13C‐NMR, mass spectra, and elemental analysis. The bioassays of antibacterial, antifungal, and insecticidal activity were carried out. The in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activities were evaluated by the disk diffusion method, and the minimum inhibitory concentration was determined by the microdilution method, while the insecticidal activity was tested by the spraying method or the straw impregnation method. The results of bioassays showed that compound 3f was more active in resisting all the tested bacterial and fungal organisms when compared to the standard drug amoxicillin at the lowest concentration of 31.3 μg/ml. Compound 4 , synthesized by Beckmann rearrangement reaction of isolongifone oxime, exerted moderate insecticidal activity against soybean aphid. Furthermore, compound 3m exhibited more activity in killing armyworms than the standard drug flucycloxuron at the concentration of 0.5 mg/l.  相似文献

A novel series of tetrahydroquinolines containing acetohydrazide, oxopyrazole, oxothioxodihydropyrazole, and thioxotriazole have been synthesized. Antileishmanial, antitumor, and cytotoxicity activities of synthesized compounds were evaluated in vitro. Antileishmanial activity of the most synthesized compounds showed tremendous activity towards Leishmania major. Most of the test compounds exhibited significant level of tumor inhibition. The tetrahydropyrano[2,3‐b]quinolin‐2‐one 6 and 4‐oxo‐4H‐pyrazol‐3‐yloxytetrahydroquinoline‐3‐carbonitrile derivatives 18 showed 100% tumor inhibition comparable with standard drug vincristine (100% tumor inhibition). Tetrahydroquinolines under investigation showed cytotoxicity with LD50 values in the range 0.56–3.01 μg/mL compared with standard drug MS‐222 with LD50 value of 4.30 μg/mL. The presence of a pyrazole ring markedly improved the activity profiles of tetrahydroquinoline. All newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, and MS.  相似文献

6/8-Substituted-2-chloroquinoline-3-carboxylic acids, upon reaction with 3-(p-substituted aryl)-4H-5-mercapto-1,2,4-triazoles in the presence of sodium acetate and an acetic anhydride medium, afforded a novel series of 2-(p-substituted aryl)-s-triazolo[5,1-b]-6/8-substituted quinolino [1,3] thiazin-9(H)-ones. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by IR, 1H NMR, and mass spectral studies. All the newly synthesized compounds have been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Most of them showed significant activity comparable with that of the standards Furacin and Flucanazol.  相似文献

In the present study, substituted formylnaphthalenyloxymethyl‐triazolyl‐N‐phenylacetamide derivatives ( 6a – k ) have been designed and synthesized employing click chemistry approach and evaluated for their in vitro antifungal and antibacterial activities. All the newly synthesized compounds were thoroughly characterized by 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and HRMS spectral techniques. Among the screened compounds, 6d , 6e , 6j , and 6k have shown good antifungal and antibacterial activities. Compound 6k has shown very effective antimicrobial activity. We further performed exploratory docking studies on microbial DNA gyrase to rationalize the in vitro biological data and to demonstrate the mechanism of antimicrobial activity. This is the first report to demonstrate the formylnaphthalenyloxymethyl, triazole, and N‐phenylacetamide hybrids as potential antimicrobial agents.  相似文献

A 2‐(2‐Mercapto‐4‐(4‐phenoxyphenyl)‐6‐(thiophen‐2‐yl)‐1,6‐dihydropyrimidin‐5‐yl) acetic acid was used as a reactive key precursor to design various pyrimidine derivatives such as thiazolo[3,2‐a]pyrimidines and pyrimido[2,1‐b][1,3]thiazines. The chemical structures of the newly synthesized products were confirmed by their elemental analyses and spectral data (IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectra). The antibacterial and antifungal activities of some of the synthesized products were also evaluated, and it was found that compounds 3, 5, 9 , and 11 exhibited potent activity against tested microorganisms in comparison with standard drugs.  相似文献

Five new carboxylic acid precursors bearing thiourea group and their corresponding bismuth(III) complexes were synthesized and characterized using CHNS and inductively coupled plasma analyses and infrared and NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopies. Single‐crystal X‐ray diffraction analysis was also carried out for one of the precursors. The behaviour of the compounds was bioassayed for antibacterial, antifungal, antioxidant and enzyme (lipoxygenase, α‐glycosidase and anti‐urease) inhibition activities. It is concluded that the interaction of the compounds with bismuth enhances both the antimicrobial and enzyme inhibition activities. The synthesized compounds may prove to be good therapeutic agents.  相似文献

A series of new ethyl 2‐(ethoxyphosphono)‐1‐cyano‐2‐(substituted tetrazolo[1,5‐a]quinolin‐4‐yl)ethanoate derivatives have been synthesized for the first time of tetrazolo[1,5‐a]quinoline derivatives. Elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, 31P NMR and mass spectral data elucidated the structures of the all newly synthesized compounds. In vitro antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds have been investigated against Gram‐positive Bacillus subtilis, Gram‐negative Escherichia coli and two fungi Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger in comparison with standard drugs. Significantly microbiological behavior of these newly synthesized derivatives possesses significant antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

Elemental analysis, IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and mass spectral data were used to elucidate the structures of all newly synthesized compounds. In vitro antimicrobial activities of synthesized compounds were investigated against Gram-positive Bacillus subtilis, Gram-negative Escherichia coli, and two fungi, Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger, in comparison with standard drugs. A series of novel 4″‐methyl‐2,2″‐diaryl‐4,2′:4′,5″‐terthiazole ( 8a‐p ) derivatives has been synthesized and screened for antibacterial activity against four pathogenic bacteria, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas flurescence, Staphylococcus aureus, and Bacillus subtilis. Among them, compounds 8a and 8j exhibited excellent antibacterial activity with minimum inhibitory concentration range of 1.0 to 5.3 μg/mL and compounds 8m and 8p exhibited moderate to good antibacterial activity with minimum inhibitory concentration range of 16.9 to 29.7 μg/mL against all tested strains. All the synthesized compounds were screened for their in vitro antifungal activity against Cocinida candida. Most of the compounds reported moderate antifungal activity. This study provides valuable directions to our ongoing endeavor of rationally designing more potent antimicrobial agent.  相似文献

Some derivatives of 2-phenyl-chromen-4-one (flavone ring) have been synthesized and tested for antibacterial and antifungal activities along with their chalcone precursors against four human pathogenic bacteria and five plant mould fungi. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by UV, IR and1H NMR spectroscopic techniques, and elemental analysis. The antibacterial and antifungal screens of the synthesized compounds were performed in vitro by the filter paper disc diffusion method and the poisoned food technique.  相似文献

A series of 5-((1H-1, 2, 4-triazol-1-yl)methyl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole derivatives were prepared and evaluated for their antifungal activities. Quantitative structure–activity relationship studies were performed on these compounds using physicochemical parameters as independent parameters and antifungal activity as a dependent parameter, where antifungal activity correlated best (correlation coefficient r > 0.8) with physicochemical parameters (Hammett’s constants σ p , F) and van der Waals volume V 1. Results are interpreted on the basis of multiple regression and cross-validation methodology. Furthermore, the domain of applicability which indicates the area of reliable predictions is defined. A new series of 1,8-bis(4-((5-phenyl-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-yl) methoxy)-substituted aryl) naphthalene-1,8-dicarboxamide derivatives (6a–j) were synthesized in the presence of POCl3 and obtained good yields. All the synthesized novel compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, HRMS spectroscopic data and elemental analysis. All the synthesized compounds evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. The antibacterial activity screened against Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Gram-negative bacteria Escherichia coli and used standard reference drug ciprofloxacin. The antifungal activity screened against two pathogenic fungal strains Aspergillus niger and Candida albicans used a reference standard drug Voriconazole. All these compounds (6a–j) demonstrate good antibacterial and antifungal activity. Among them, compounds 6h and 6c show highest antibacterial and antifungal activity.  相似文献

An efficiently synthesis of chromones via cyclodehydration of corresponding 1‐(2‐hydroxyphenyl)‐3‐(pyridine‐3‐yl)propane‐1,3‐dione is described under ultrasound irradiation. A series of novel 2‐(pyridine‐3‐yl)‐4H‐chromen‐4‐one derivatives was confirmed on the basis of 1H‐NMR, mass, IR spectral data, and elemental analysis. The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. Most of the compounds were found to be comparable potent than the reference standard drugs. Utilization of ultrasound irradiation, simple reaction conditions, isolation, and purification makes this manipulation very interesting from an economic and environmental perspective.  相似文献
