采用非线性透过率法研究了以N为耦合中心的多枝化合物N-[4-{2-(3,5-二-[5-(4-叔丁基苯基)-1,3,4-噁二唑-2-]苯基}-1-乙烯基}苯基}-N,N-二苯胺(BPODPA), N,N-双[4-{2-(3,5-二-[5-(4-叔丁基苯基)-1,3,4-噁二唑-2-]苯基}-1-乙烯基}苯基}-N-苯胺(BBPOPA)和N,N,N-三[4-{2-(3,5-二-[5-(4-叔丁基苯基)-1,3,4-噁二唑-2]苯基}-1-乙烯基}苯基}胺(TBPOA)的双光子吸收性质, 测定了化合物的单光子荧光光谱和双光子上转换荧光光谱, 研究了多枝化对三苯胺分子双光子吸收和双光子激发荧光性质的影响.在800 nm波长的激光激发下,化合物BPODPA、BBPOPA和TBPOA在二氯甲烷溶液中发出很强的蓝绿色双光子上转换荧光, 荧光峰分别位于502、515 和518 nm. 这些多枝结构化合物的双光子吸收截面较大, 双光子吸收增强来源于多枝分子中扩展的π共轭体系和重复单元的协同效应.  相似文献

Enhanced two-photon-absorbing (2PA) systems with triplet cores are currently under scrutiny for several biomedical applications, including photodynamic therapy (PDT) and two-photon microscopy of oxygen. The performance of so far developed molecules, however, is substantially below expected. In this study we take a detailed look at the processes occurring in these systems and propose ways to improve their performance. We focus on the interchromophore distance tuning as a means for optimization of two-photon sensors for oxygen. In these constructs, energy transfer from several 2PA chromophores is used to enhance the effective 2PA cross section of phosphorescent metalloporphyrins. Previous studies have indicated that intramolecular electron transfer (ET) can act as an effective quencher of phosphorescence, decreasing the overall sensor efficiency. We studied the interplay between 2PA, energy transfer, electron transfer, and phosphorescence emission using Rhodamine B-Pt tetrabenzoporphyrin (RhB-PtTBP) adducts as model compounds. 2PA cross sections (sigma2) of tetrabenzoporphyrins (TBPs) are in the range of several tens of GM units (near 800 nm), making TBPs superior 2PA chromophores compared to regular porphyrins (sigma2 values typically 1-2 GM). Relatively large 2PA cross sections of rhodamines (about 200 GM in 800-850 nm range) and their high photostabilities make them good candidates as 2PA antennae. Fluorescence of Rhodamine B (lambda(fl) = 590 nm, phi(fl) = 0.5 in EtOH) overlaps with the Q-band of phosphorescent PtTBP (lambda(abs) = 615 nm, epsilon = 98 000 M(-1) cm(-1), phi(p) approximately 0.1), suggesting that a significant amplification of the 2PA-induced phosphorescence via fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) might occur. However, most of the excitation energy in RhB-PtTBP assemblies is consumed in several intramolecular ET processes. By installing rigid nonconducting decaproline spacers (Pro10) between RhB and PtTBP, the intramolecular ETs were suppressed, while the chromophores were kept within the F?rster r0 distance in order to maintain high FRET efficiency. The resulting assemblies exhibit linear amplification of their 2PA-induced phosphorescence upon increase in the number of 2PA antenna chromophores and show high oxygen sensitivity. We also have found that PtTBPs possess unexpectedly strong forbidden S0 --> T1 bands (lambda(max) = 762 nm, epsilon = 120 M-1 cm-1). The latter may overlap with the laser spectrum and lead to unwanted linear excitation.  相似文献

Addition of the surfactant sodium dodecyl sulfate at concentrations above the critical micelle concentration increases the fluorescence quantum yield and the two-photon absorption cross-section of charged [2.2]paracyclophane chromophores containing pairs of D-pi-D chromophores. The resulting spectra in the micellar solutions are very similar to those obtained for neutral isostructural analogues in toluene. The measured etadelta values are 1300 GM for 1C and 1920 GM for 2C, which are comparable or larger to those in toluene. These results highlight possible misleading interpretation of two-photon-induced emission for evaluating the concentration of labeled substrates used in two-photon microscopy and provide guidelines for designing molecular structures with optimized two-photon action cross-sections in water.  相似文献

A series of new one, two, and three-branched two-photon absorption triazine derivatives with a π-bond and a σ-electron pair as a bridge have been synthesized and their photophysical properties have been systematically investigated. These chromophores showed obvious solvatochromic effects, i.e., significant bathochromic shifting of the emission spectra and larger Stokes shifts were observed in more polar solvents mainly due to intra-molecular charge transfer (ICT). The two-photon absorption (2PA) cross-section values were determined by the two-photon excited fluorescence (TPEF) measurements in DMF. This result further proved that a σ-electron pair as a bridge is an efficient way to transfer charge as well as a π bridge, and that their 2PA cross-section values (δ) increase with increasing branch number.  相似文献

A comprehensive analysis of the well-known open aperture Z-scan method, using a modified equation for the change in transmittance, is presented and accounts for discrepancies in two-photon absorption (2PA) cross sections between picosecond and femtosecond excitation. This new approach takes into account excited-state absorption and stimulated emission of the molecules studied. The two-photon absorption cross-section spectra of a series of six fluorene-based derivatives, determined using picosecond pulses, over a broad spectral range (500-900 nm), and this approach using a modified fitting procedure in the open aperture Z-scan is reported. We demonstrate that the fluorene derivatives exhibit two-photon absorption cross-section values between 700 and 5000 GM, when excited into the two-photon allowed electronic state. Excitation anisotropy spectra, measured to investigate the nature of the observed linear and nonlinear absorption bands, are presented and provide insight into the 2PA process.  相似文献

Two tribranched chromophores,1,3,5-triazine as electron deficient core,9,9-dimethylfluorene asπ-conjugated bridge, diphenylamino(4a) and naphthylamino(4b) as electron-donating end-groups,were successfully prepared via Buchwald-Hartwig coupling reaction.Their linear photophysical and two-photon absorption(TPA) properties were investigated by absorption, fluorescence and nonlinear transmission method,respectively.The absorption cut-offs of the chromophores are below 550 nm and both chromophores have strong fluorescence emission.The compound 4a(206.3 GM) exhibits larger TPA cross-section than 4b (57.8 GM) in the femtosecond regime at 800 nm.  相似文献

Three quadrupolar oligophenylenevinylenes with five rings in the conjugated backbone, terminal donor groups, and various acceptors and/or donors along the backbone were synthesized and their two-photon spectroscopic properties investigated. These chromophores exhibit large two-photon absorption cross sections over a wide wavelength range and two distinct peaks, the strongest of which (deltamax > 3600 GM) is observed at 960-970 nm, a wavelength close to twice the value of the linear absorption maximum (2lambda(1)max). The findings on these chromophores are compared with those for analogous molecules with shorter conjugation length, for which the main two-photon band is at significantly shorter wavelength than 2lambda(1)max.  相似文献

The synthesis, one-photon photophysics and two-photon absorption (2PA) of three dipolar D-π-A 4-[9,9-di(2-ethylhexyl)-7-diphenylaminofluoren-2-yl]-2,2':6',2'-terpyridine and their platinum chloride complexes with different linkers between the donor and acceptor are reported. All ligands exhibit (1)π,π* transition in the UV and (1)π,π*/(1)ICT (intramolecular charge transfer) transition in the visible regions, while the complexes display a lower-energy (1)π,π*/(1)CT (charge transfer) transition in the visible region in addition to the high-energy (1)π,π* transitions. All ligands and the complexes are emissive at room temperature and 77 K, with the emitting excited state assigned as the mixed (1)π,π* and (1)CT states at RT. Transient absorption from the ligands and the complexes were observed. 2PA was investigated for all ligands and complexes. The two-photon absorption cross-sections (σ(2)) of the complexes (600-2000 GM) measured by Z-scan experiment are much larger than those of their corresponding ligands measured by the two-photon induced fluorescence method. The ligand and the complex with the ethynylene linker show much stronger 2PA than those with the vinylene linker.  相似文献

The synthesis, linear photophysical properties, two-photon absorption (2PA), excited-state transient absorption, and gain spectroscopy of a new fluorene derivative tert-butyl 4,4'-(4,4' (1E,1'E)-2,2'-(9,9-bis(2- (2-ethoxyethoxy)ethyl)-9H-fluorene-2,7-diyl)bis(ethene-2,1-diyl)bis(4,1 phenylene)]dipiperazine-1-carboxylate (1) are reported. The steady-state linear absorption and fluorescence spectra, along with excitation anisotropy, fluorescence lifetimes, and photochemical stability of 1 were investigated in a number of organic solvents at room temperature. The 2PA spectra of 1 with a maximum cross-section of ~ 300 GM were obtained with a 1 kHz femtosecond laser system using open-aperture Z-scan and two-photon-induced fluorescence methods. The transient excited-state absorption (ESA) and gain kinetics of 1 were investigated by a femtosecond pump-probe methodology. Fast relaxation processes (~1-2 ps) in the gain and ESA spectra of 1 were revealed in ACN solution, attributable to symmetry-breaking effects in the first excited state. Efficient superfluorescence properties of 1 were observed in a nonpolar solvent under femtosecond excitation. One- and two-photon fluorescence microscopy imaging of HCT 116 cells incubated with probe 1 was accomplished, suggesting the potential of this new probe in two-photon fluorescence microscopy bioimaging.  相似文献

Supramolecular porphyrin self-assemblies have been prepared from butadiyne-linked bis(imidazolylporphyrin) by complementary coordination of imidazole to zinc, and their two-photon absorption (2PA) and higher-order nonlinear absorption properties were investigated over femtosecond time scales using an open-aperture Z-scan method. The self-assembled porphyrin dimer of the conjugated monozinc bisporphyrin 7D was shown to have a large 2PA cross section (7.6 x 10(3) GM, where 1 GM = 10(-50) cm(4) s molecule(-1) photon(-1)) at 887 nm. By comparison of this result with that for a meso-meso-linked porphyrin array without the butadiyne connection (3.7 x 10(2) GM at 964 nm), it was demonstrated that the predominant factor in this significant enhancement of the cross section was the expansion of porphyrin-porphyrin pi-conjugation. Self-coordination and monozinc metalation were also found to be contributing factors. Furthermore, a novel self-assembled porphyrin polymer 8P consisting of a biszinc complex with a mean molecular weight of M(n) = 1.5 x 10(5) Da was shown to exhibit an extraordinarily large two-photon absorption cross section (4.4 x 10(5) GM at 873 nm). Nanosecond Z-scan experiments for 7D and 8P were also undertaken and resulted in the measurement of large effective 2PA cross sections, including the excited-state absorption (2.1 x 10(5) GM for 7D and 2.2 x 10(7) GM for 8P, respectively). Finally, three-photon absorption was observed by femtosecond Z-scan experiments at 1188 nm (7.1 x 10(-89) m(6) s(2)) and 1282 nm (1.8 x 10(-89) m(6) s(2)), an observation which is the first of its kind in porphyrin chemistry.  相似文献

We demonstrated ultrafast femtosecond nonlinear optical (NLO) absorption characteristics of bilayered fullerosome vesicle nanostructures derived from molecular self-assembly of amphiphilic oligo(ethylene glycolated) C(60)-(light-harvesting diphenylaminofluorene antenna). Fullerene conjugates were designed to enhance photoresponse in a femtosecond time scale by applying an isomerizable periconjugation linker between the C(60) cage and diphenylaminofluorene antenna subunit in an intramolecular contact distance of only < 3.0 ?. Morphology of C(60)(>DPAF-EG(12)C(1))-based fullerosome nanovesicles in H(2)O was characterized to consist of a bilayered shell with a sphere diameter of 20-70 nm and a chromophore shell-width of 9.0-10 nm, fitting well with a head-to-head packing configuration of the molecular length. At the estimated effective nanovesicle concentration as low as 5.5 × 10(-8) MV (molecular molar concentration of 5.0 × 10(-4) M) in H(2)O, two-photon absorption (2PA) phenomena were found to be the dominating photophysical events showing a large molar concentration-insensitive 2PA cross-section value equivalent to 8500 GM in a form of nanovesicles, on average. The observed NLO characteristics led to a sharp trend of efficient light-transmittance intensity reduction at the input laser intensity above 100 GW/cm(2).  相似文献

Two triphenylamine-based star-type push-pull chromophores (T1, T2) were designed and synthesized. Triphenylamine serves as the central core and acts as an electron-donating group surrounded by electron-withdrawing pentafluorobenzene or N,N-dimethyl substituted tetrafluorobenzene, which are connected by ethylene bridges. Single-crystal X-ray diffraction confirmed the structures and molecular arrangement of two chromophores. The systematic photophysical research of T1 and T2 absorption characteristics was carried out to gain a better understanding of how structure-property relationships affect the observed nonlinear optical absorption phenomenon. Complementary calculations based on density functional theory (DFT) further confirmed the experimental results. Both chromophores exhibited excellent two-photon absorption (TPA) properties in CH2Cl2. Notably, T2 has more remarkable nonlinear optical absorption effects with the TPA cross-section up to 4.24 × 107 GM. By adjusting the electronic structures of the chromophores through introducing pentafluorobenzene or N,N-dimethyl as functional groups with different electron-donating or withdrawing behaviors, the TPA performance of the small organic molecule could be greatly enhanced. These molecular structures with push-pull systems were excellent candidates for different two-photon applications.  相似文献

A new series of 2,7-bis-(2-ethylhexyl)-benzo[lmn][3,8]-phenanthroline-1,3,6,8-tetraone (NDI) based pseudo-quadrupolar molecules (1-6) is presented and their two-photon absorption (2PA) cross-sections measured with the Z-scan method. The spectral properties of these compounds can be fine-tuned via modification of the donor segments. The corresponding 2PA cross-section (σ2) values at the most readily available 800 nm excitation range from 229±15 to 1092±59 GM owing to differences in conjugation length and/or position of substitution.  相似文献

A series of luminescent multinuclear platinum(II) alkynyl complexes containing triethynylbenzene or 1,4-bis(3,5-diethynylphenyl)buta-1,3-diyne as cores has been successfully synthesized and characterized. The electronic absorption, emission, nanosecond transient absorption and electrochemical properties of these complexes have been reported. These complexes show long-lived emissions in degassed benzene solution and in alcoholic glass at 77 K. Moreover, they are found to exhibit two-photon absorption (2PA) and two-photon induced luminescence (TPIL) properties, and their two-photon absorption cross-sections have been determined to be 6-191 GM upon excitation at 720 nm. Through a systematic comparison, it has been found that tetra- and hexanuclear platinum(II) complexes show better 2PA and TPIL properties than their di- and trinuclear counterparts.  相似文献

Three triazine-based europium(III) complexes were synthesized that demonstrated strong two-photon induced europium emission with a high two-photon absorption cross-section. The modified triazine ligand of complex 3 initiated over 100% enhancement of the two-photon absorption cross-section (σ(2): 320 GM) when compared with complex 1 (σ(2): 128 GM) in a solution of DMSO. Europium complex 3 is also stable in vitro, and power-dependence curves were obtained in vitro to confirm the two-photon-induced f-f emission in HeLa cells.  相似文献

3,6-Bis(arylethynyl)pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrroles were synthesized through a two-step procedure involving double direct alkynylation of the electron-rich core followed by Sonogashira coupling. In comparison with the parent tetraarylo-pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrroles and benzo-fused pyrrolopyrroles, these new dyes showed moderately redshifted absorption. Almost all derivatives showed positive fluorescence solvatochromism and, for the first time, red-emitting pyrrolopyrroles were obtained. Computational studies revealed that, in most cases, there is negligible change in the geometry between ground and excited states. Interestingly, there was a fundamental difference between pyrrolopyrroles possessing electron-withdrawing substituents at positions 2 and 5 and their analogs lacking these substituents. The former dyes behaved like dipolar chromophores with the lowest excited state both one-photon and two-photon allowed, which corresponds to intramolecular charge transfer occurring along the branches perpendicular to the pyrrolopyrrole long axis. In compounds lacking electron-withdrawing substituents at positions 2 and 5, intramolecular charge transfer took place along the long axis of pyrrolopyrrole and consequently the one-photon transitions are not two-photon allowed. Despite displaying quadrupolar core-to-peripheral intramolecular charge transfer, these derivatives showed two-photon absorption cross sections in the NIR1 region comparable to tetraaryl-pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyrroles lacking π-expansion (up to about 500 GM).  相似文献

应用密度泛函理论(DFT)和半经验的ZINDO方法对二吡唑铝化合物的单、双光子吸收(OPA、TPA)性质进行了研究.结果表明,铝氮烷杂环化合物具有好的双光子吸收性质,其双光子最大吸收截面值(δmax)可达到2860.1 GM(1 GM=10-50 cm4·s·photon-1).在中心、共轭桥和末端引入强的吸电子基团可调谐单、双光子吸收光谱,实现在不同波长范围的双光子吸收;利用三态公式分析了分子的双光子吸收截面变化的内在原因;铝氮烷杂环化合物与其相应的硼化合物相比,表现出类似的单、双光子吸收性质,但一定程度上可增大双光子吸收截面.  相似文献

A series of V-type chromophores with electron-rich heterocyclevinylene bridges have been synthesized via Wittig-Horner-Emmons and Vilsmeier reactions.All the target chromophores showed strong one-photon and two-photon excited emission,and their electron properties could be tuned by using different heterocycles such as furan,thiophene and pyrrole moieties in I-III.The maximum two-photon absorption (TPA) cross sections occurred at 760 nm and were measured to be in the range of 400-800 GM.  相似文献
