A new carbon paste electrode (CPE) for the determination of iodide ion based on a cetyltrimethylammonium iodide (CTMAI) ion pair as an electroactive material is described. The electrode shows a linear response for iodide ion over the concentration range of 4 x 10(-5) M to 1 x 10(-1) M with a lower detection limit of 4 x 10(-5) M at 25 degrees C. The electrode has a Nemstian slope of -55.0 +/- 0.4 mV/decade and a fast potential response of 45 s, which is almost constant over a pH range of 5.0 - 9.0. Selectivity coefficient data of the CTMAI-CPE for some common ions show negligible interference, and the electrode has high selectivity towards the iodide ion. An average recovery of 101.83% with a relative standard deviation of 1.53% has been achieved for the determination of iodide in Flaxedil (gallamine triethiodide) ampoules, a muscle relaxant drug. The electrode has been examined for the determination of iodide in saline water; the results were found to compare favorably with those obtained using Metrohm iodide ISE. The electrode has been utilized as an end-point indicator electrode for the determination of Hg(II) and phenylmercury(I) in their aqueous solutions using potentiometric titration with a potassium iodide standard solution.  相似文献

A sensitive adsorptive stripping voltammetric method for the determination of dinitrophenolic herbicides, dinoseb (DSB) and dinoterb (DTB) at a bare carbon paste electrode (CPE) and a clay modified carbon paste electrode (CMCPE) was developed. A systematic study of various experimental conditions, such as the pH, accumulation variables and composition of a modifier on the adsorptive stripping response, were examined by using differential pulse voltammetry. A significant improvement was observed in the sensitivity by using the present method with CMCPE. When CMCPE was used, a linear response was obtained over the concentration range 2 x 10(-10) to 3 x 10(-7) M and 6 x 10(-10) to 6 x 10(-7) M with lower detection limits of 1 x 10(-10) M and 5.4 x 10(-10) M for dinoseb and dinoterb, respectively, at an accumulation time of 100 s. The interference from other herbicides and ions on the stripping signals of both compounds was also evaluated. The described method was applied to estimate of the dinoseb and dinoterb in environmental samples.  相似文献

A microbial sensor, namely carbon paste electrode (CPE) modified with Citrobacter freundii (Cf–CPE) has been developed for the detection of hexavalent (Cr(VI)) and trivalent (Cr(III)) chromium present in aqueous samples using voltammetry, an electroanalytical technique. The biosensor developed, demonstrated about a twofold higher performance as compared to the bare CPE for the chosen ions. Using cyclic voltammetry and by employing the fabricated Cf–CPE, the lowest limit of detection (LLOD) of 1x10−4 M and 5x10−4 M for Cr(VI) and Cr(III) ions respectively could be achieved. By adopting the Differential Pulse Cathodic Stripping Voltammetric technique, the LLOD could be further improved to 1x10−9 M and 1x10−7 M for Cr(VI) and Cr(III) ions respectively using the biomodified electrodes. The reactions occurring at the electrode surface‐chromium solution interface and the mechanisms of biosorption of chromium species onto the biosensor are discussed. The stability and utility of the developed biosensor for the analysis of Cr(VI) and Cr(III) ions in chromite mine water samples has been evaluated.  相似文献

A rapid and sensitive square-wave voltammetric procedure was optimized for the determination of dipyridamole after its adsorption preconcentration onto a hanging mercury drop electrode. The peak current of the first of the two peaks developed for this drug in Britton-Robinson buffer at pH 8.0 has been considered for the present analytical study. An accumulation potential of -1.0 V versus Ag/AgCl/KCl(s), pulse amplitude a =100 mV, scan increment Delta E =10 mV, and frequency f =120 Hz were the optimal experimental parameters. Dipyridamole can be determined in the concentration range of 9.0 x 10(-9) to 5.0 x 10(-6) M using accumulation times of 30-300 s. A detection limit of 4.0 x 10(-11) M was achieved after a 300 s accumulation time. Applicability to serum samples was illustrated. The average recoveries for dipyridamole spiked to serum at 0.25-4.50 micro g ml(-1) were 96.0-102.0%, and the higher standard deviation was 2.9%. A detection limit of 0.06 micro g mL(-1) of serum was obtained.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of pipemidic acid (8-ethyl-5,8-dihydro-5-oxo-2-(1-piperazinyl)-pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidine-6- carboxylic acid), a well known antimicrobial agent used for urinary infections, was investigated by linear-sweep, differential-pulse and square-wave voltammetry at a hanging mercury drop electrode. Two reduction processes were observed in Britton-Robinson buffers at acid pH, whereas only one or two processes were observed in alkaline solutions, dependent on the pH of the buffer employed. Adsorptive effects were used to accumulate the drug on to the electrode. The adsorbed species were measured voltammetrically by using a cathodic process appearing at -0.76 V in 0.1 M HCIO4. Linear calibration graphs were obtained in the range 2.5 x 10(-9)-2.0 x 10(-7) M. A simple procedure of extraction was employed for the determination of the drug in urine samples.  相似文献

The aim of this work was voltammetric determination of 1-aminopyrene and 1-hydroxypyrene using carbon paste electrodes modified with cyclodextrin derivatives and double stranded deoxyribonucleic acid (dsDNA). The detection schemes based on a preconcentration and differential pulse voltammetric (DPV) determination at beta-cyclodextrin and gamma-cyclodextrin modified carbon paste electrode (beta-CD/CPE, gamma-CD/CPE), neutral beta-cyclodextrin polymer and carboxymethyl-beta-cyclodextrin polymer modified screen-printed electrode (beta-CDP/SPE, beta-CDPA/SPE) and dsDNA modified screen-printed electrode (DNA/SPE) are proposed for the trace determination of studied analytes within the concentration range from 2 x 10(-8) to 4 x 10(-7) mol dm(-3) and from 2 x 10(-7) to 4 x 10(-6) mol dm(-3) with the limits of quantification down to 10(-8) mol dm(-3). Depending on pH, 1-aminopyrene interacts with both surface attached CD and DNA by electrostatic bonds and supramolecular complexation while 1-hydroxypyrene associates with the CD hosts via complexation. The 1-aminopyrene interaction with dsDNA was confirmed by fluorimetric measurements in the solution phase using a competing DNA-TO-PRO-3 dye complex. In addition, the effect of temperature on this association was investigated using an electrically heated DNA-modified carbon paste electrode (DNA/CPE).  相似文献

The adsorption behavior of levofloxacin on a glassy carbon electrode was explored by cyclic and square-wave voltammetry. The drug was accumulated on a glassy carbon electrode and a well-defined oxidation peak was obtained in acetate buffer pH 5.0. Using square-wave anodic stripping voltammetry and accumulation at +0.4 V versus Ag/AgCl (saturated KCl) for 300 s, linear calibration graph was obtained from 6.0x10(-9) to 5.0x10(-7) M levofloxacin. The detection limit was calculated to be 5.0x10(-9) M. The R.S.D. determined from ten determinations at the 1.0x10(-7) M level was 1.7%. The method was applied for the direct determination of levofloxacin in diluted urine samples. It was validated using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) as a reference method.  相似文献

Adsorptive stripping voltammetry is used for the determination of trace levels of nifedipine. The conditions for preconcentration on the mercury drop electrode have been studied and the final measurements are made by differential pulse voltammetry. The response is linear from 2 x 10(-9) to 1 x 10(-7)M and can be extended to 10(-6)M by a change in conditions. The stripping peak has been used for determination of the drug in formulations, with a relative standard deviation of 0.8%. The method is applicable to the determination of nifedipine in blood-serum with a detection limit of 4.1 ng/ml.  相似文献

Carbon nanotube/nanoparticle hybrid materials have been proven to exhibit high electrocatalytic activity suggesting broad potential applications in the field of electroanalysis. For the first time, modification of Ta electrode with aligned multi-walled carbon nanotubes/Au nanoparticles introduced for the sensitive determination of the antibiotic drug, cefazolin (CFZ). The electrochemical response characteristics of the modified electrode toward CFZ were investigated by means of cyclic and linear sweep voltammetry. The modified electrode showed an efficient catalytic activity for the reduction of CFZ, leading to a remarkable decrease in reduction overpotential and a significant increase of peak current. Under optimum conditions, the highly sensitive modified electrode showed a wide linear range from 50 pM to 50 μM with a sufficiently low detection limit of 1?±?0.01 pM (S/N?=?3). The results indicated that the prepared electrode presents suitable characteristics in terms of sensitivity (458.2?±?2.6 μAcm?2/μM), accuracy, repeatability (RSD of 1.8 %), reproducibility (RSD of 2.9 %), stability (14 days), and good catalytic activity in physiological conditions. The method was successfully applied for accurate determination of trace amounts of CFZ in pharmaceutical and clinical preparations without the necessity for samples pretreatment or any time-consuming extraction or evaporation steps prior to the analysis.  相似文献

The electrochemical oxidation of L-cysteine (CySH) in presence of carbon nanotubes (CNTs) formed a composite film at a glassy carbon electrode (GCE) as a novel modifier for directly electroanalytical determination of terbinafine without sample pretreatment in biological fluid. The determination of terbinafine at the modified electrode with strongly accumulation was studied by differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). The peak current obtained at +1.156 V (vs. SCE) from DPV was linearly dependent on the terbinafine concentration in the range of 8.0 x 10(-8)-5.0 x 10(-5 )M in a B-R buffer solution (0.04 M, pH 1.81) with a correlation coefficient of 0.998. The detection limit (S/N=3) was 2.5 x 10(-8 )M. The low-cost modified electrode showed good sensitivity, selectivity, and stability. This developed method had been applied to the direct determination of terbinafine in human serum samples with satisfactory results. It is hopeful that the modified electrode will be applied for the medically clinical test and the pharmacokinetics in future.  相似文献

Electrocatalytic oxidation of ascorbic acid (AA) at a carbon paste electrode, chemically modified 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone, was thoroughly investigated. The results of cyclic voltammetry, double potential-step chronoamperometry, linear sweep voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) studies were used for the prediction of the mechanism of electrochemical oxidation of AA mediated with 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone at the surface of the modified electrode. The diffusion coefficient (D = 2.45 x 10(-5) cm(2) s(-1)) and the kinetic parameters such as the electron transfer coefficient (alpha = 0.34) were also determined. The results of DPV using the 2,2'-[3,6-dioxa-1,8-octanediylbis(nitriloethylidyne)]-bis-hydroquinone-modified electrode were applied in a highly sensitive determination of AA in drug samples. A linear range of 3.0 x 10(-6) - 1.2 x 10(-4) M and the detection limit (3sigma) 3.8 x 10(-7) M were obtained for DPV determination of AA in buffered pH 7.00 solutions (0.1 M phosphate buffer).  相似文献

In this paper, we report the construction and application of a sol-gel derived carbon composite electrode (CCE) as an amperometric detector for capillary electrophoresis. The electrochemical properties were characterized and compared with those of conventional carbon fiber and carbon paste electrode (CPE). Experimental results show that peak-to-peak noise of CCE was about 20% of CPE and electrode capacitance was comparatively low. When applied to the detection of dopamine and epinephrine, the optimal detection potential for CCE was 0.1 V lower than CPE under the same separation conditions; CCE with diameter of 75 and 100 microm could achieve a low detection limit of 3 x 10(-8) and 6 x 10(-8) M for the detection of epinephrine, which approaching that of the 33-microm diameter carbon fiber electrode. Also, the linearity for epinephrine at CCE was more than two orders of magnitude, which was slightly wider than that of carbon fiber electrode. Applications to real sample analysis were tested by the determination of betahistine dihydrochloride in tablets and human urine. Using CCE with diameter < or = 100 microm as an amperometric detector after capillary electrophoresis separation, a low detection limit and a wide linear range combined with excellent reproducibility were obtained. This CCE possesses of many advantages, namely, convenience, ease of fabrication, low cost and high stability.  相似文献

This paper describes the development of screen-printed (SPE) and carbon paste (CPE) sensors for the rapid and sensitive quantification of naphazoline hydrochloride (NPZ) in pharmaceutical formulations. This work compares the electroactivity of conventional carbon paste and screen-printed carbon paste electrodes towards potentiometric titration of NPZ. The repeatability and accuracy of measurements performed in the analysis of these pharmaceutical matrices using new screen printed sensors were evaluated. The influence of the electrode composition, conditioning time of the electrode and pH of the test solution, on the electrode performance were investigated. The drug electrode showed Nernstain responses in the concentration range from 1 × 10(-6) to 1 × 10(-2) mol L(-1) with slopes of 57.5 ± 1.3 and 55.9 ± 1.6 mV per decade for SPE and CPE, respectively, and was found to be very precise and usable within the pH range 3-8. These sensors exhibited a fast response time (about 3 s for both SPE and CPE, respectively), a low detection limit (3.5 × 10(-6) and 1.5 × 10(-6) M for SPE and CPE, respectively), a long lifetime (3 and 2 months for SPE and CPE, respectively) and good stability. The selectivity of the electrode toward a large number of inorganic cations, sugars and amino acids was tested. It was applied to potentiometric determination of NPZ in pure state and pharmaceutical preparation under batch conditions. The percentage recovery values for the assay of NPZ in tablets (relative standard deviations ≤0.3% for n = 4) were compared well with those obtained by the official method.  相似文献

Cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry were used to explore the adsorption behavior of three antibacterial agents at a carbon paste electrode. The drugs were accumulated on a carbon paste electrode, and a well-defined oxidation peak was obtained in acetate buffer (pH 5.0). The adsorptive stripping response was evaluated as a function of some variables such as the scan rate, pH and accumulation time. A simple, precise, inexpensive and sensitive voltammetric method has been developed for the determination of the cited drugs (Lomefloxacin (LFX), Sparfloxacin hydrochloride (SFX), and Gatifloxacin (GFX)). A linear calibration was obtained from 2 x 10(-7) M to 4 x 10(-5) M for LFX, 2 x 10(-7) M to 6 x 10(-5) M for SFX, and GFX. The limits of detection (LOD) were 4.2 x 10(-7), 7 x 10(-7) and 6.6 x 10(-7) M, while the limits of quantification (LOQ) were 1.4 x 10(-6), 2.3 x 10(-6) and 2.2 x 10(-6) M for LFX, SFX, and GFX, respectively. The R. S. D. of five measurements at the 1 x 10(-6) M level were 0.4, 0.5 and 0.3 for LFX, SFX and GFX, respectively. The method was applied to the determination of LFX, SFX and GFX in dilute urine samples and dosage forms, and compared with the HPLC method.  相似文献

A sodium montmorillonite (SWy-2)-modified carbon-paste electrode has been examined for determination of trace levels of mercury. Because of its strong cation-exchange and adsorptive characteristics, SWy-2 greatly improves the sensitivity of determination of Hg(2+). Hg(2+) is preconcentrated and reduced on the modified electrode surface at -0.40 V and then stripped from the electrode surface during the positive potential sweep. The conditions used for determination, e.g. supporting electrolyte, pH, amount of SWy-2, accumulation potential, and accumulation time, were optimized. The peak current was linearly dependent on the concentration of mercury from 1 x 10(-9) to 5 x 10(-7) mol L(-1). The detection limit (signal-to-noise ratio=3) was 1 x 10(-10) mol L(-1) after accumulation for 6 min. When the SWy-2-modified carbon-paste electrode was used to detect mercury in water samples the average recovery was 101.11%.  相似文献

A novel PVC membrane electrode selective for the determination of pentachlorophenolate (PCP) ion based on 2,3,5-triphenyl-2H-tetrazolium (TPT) pentachlorophenolate ion pair as an electroactive material is described. The electrode shows a linear response for PCP ion over the concentration range of 6x10(-5) to 1x10(-2) M with lower detection limit of 4x10(-5) M at 25 degrees C. The electrode posses a Nernstian slope of -55.0+/-1.0 mV/decade and a fast potential response of 45 s, which is almost constant over a pH range of 5.5-10.5. Selectivity coefficient data for some common ions show negligible interference, however, 2,4,6-trichlorophenolate and cetylpyridinium ions interfere. An average recovery of 96.2% with relative standard deviation of 2.3% has been achieved for the determination of 75.0 ppm PCP in wastewater samples. The determination of PCP in soil and wood samples gave results that compare favorably with those obtained by gas chromatography. The electrode has been utilized as an end point indicator electrode for the determination of PCP using potentiometric titration.  相似文献

The electrochemical behaviour of mitoxantrone (MXT), an important antineoplastic agent, has been studied at mercury electrodes. The nature of the process taking place at the hanging mercury drop electrode (HMDE) was clarified. The electrochemical behaviour observed was in close agreement with theoretical predictions for an adsorbed molecule which is reversibly reduced. Both the molecule and its reduced product appeared to be adsorbed at the surface of the electrode. Adsorptive stripping voltammetry has been proven to be advantageous over any other assay technique, allowing 5 x 10(-11)M MXT to be detected. The interference arising from surfactants competing for the adsorption sites at the electrode have been studied and the possibility of MXT determination in dilute urine samples has been shown. Some interesting data, such as the MXT adsorbing surface area and the kinetic constant of the associated coupled chemistry reaction were also determined.  相似文献

Amidosulfonic acid was electropolymerized by cyclic voltammetry onto the surface of glassy carbon electrode (GCE) to fabricate the chemically modified electrode, which showed high stability, good selectivity and reproducibility for determination of isoniazid. The modified electrode showed an excellent electrocatalytical effect on the oxidation of isoniazid. Under the optimum conditions, there was a good linear relationship between anodic peak current and isoniazid concentration in the range of 5.0 x 10(-8)- 1.0 x 10(-5) M, and a detection limit of 1.0 x 10(-8) M (S/N = 3) was obtained after 120 s at the accumulation potential of - 0.2 V (vs. SCE). This developed method had been applied to the direct determination of isoniazid in injection and tablet samples with satisfactory results.  相似文献

A new tetrazolium-triiodomercurate-modified carbon paste electrode has been described for the sensitive and selective determination of mercury. The electrode shows a stable, near-Nernstian response for 1×10−3 to 6×10−6 M [HgI3] at 25 °C over the pH range of 4.0-9.0, with an anionic slope of 55.5±0.4 mV. The lower detection limit is 4×10−6 M with a fast response time of 30-50 s. Selectivity coefficients of a number of interfering anions and iodo complexes of some metal ions have been estimated. The interference from many of the investigated ions is negligible. The determination of 1-200 μg/ml of mercury in aqueous solutions shows an average recovery of 98.5% and a mean relative standard deviation of 1.6% at 50.0 μg/ml. The direct determination of mercury in spiked wastewater, metal amalgams and dental alloy gave results that compare favorably with those obtained by the cold vapor atomic absorption spectrometric method. Potentiometric titration of mercury and phenylmercury acetate with standard potassium iodide has been monitored using the developed triiodomercurate-carbon paste electrode (CPE) as an end point indicator electrode.  相似文献

The oxidative behaviour of, a hypnotic drug, zolpidem was studied at glassy carbon electrode in Britton-Robinson buffer over the pH range 2.0-11.0 using cyclic, linear sweep and differential pulse voltammetry. Oxidation of the drug was effected in a single irreversible, diffusion-controlled step. Using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), the drug yielded a well-defined voltammetric response in Britton-Robinson buffer, pH 8.0 at +0.889 V (vs. Ag/AgCl) on glassy carbon electrode. This process could be used to determine zolpidem concentrations in the range 5.0 x 10(-7) M to 1.0 x 10(-5) M with a detection limit of 2.0 x 10(-7) M. The method was applied, without any interference from the excipients, to the determination of the drug in a tablet dosage form.  相似文献
