We propose a two-dimensional map that coincides with the Poincaré map of a kicked oscillator in the zero-dissipation limit. We investigate the main properties of the map under the influence of general odd perturbations. We study the map numerically under variation of the control parameters for two different models of the perturbation, sinusoidal and Gaussian, which give the system complementary properties: the forcing symmetry dominates in the first system, and the resonance symmetry dominates in the second system.  相似文献

We relate the equisingular deformation theory of plane curve singularities and sandwiched surface singularities. We show the existence of a smooth map between the two corresponding deformation functors and study the kernel of this map. We give an algebraic structure for a large family of binary quasi-cyclic codes. We construct a family of commutative rings and a canonical Gray map such that cyclic codes over this family of rings produce quasi-cyclic codes of arbitrary index in the Hamming space via the Gray map. We use the Gray map to produce optimal linear codes that are quasi-cyclic.  相似文献

A well-known result in complex dynamics shows that if the iterates of an analytic map are uniformly bounded in a complex domain, then the map is analytically conjugate to a linear map. We study in this paper the maximal version of the coarse Baum-Connes assembly map for families of expanding graphs arising from residually finite groups. Unlike for the usual Roe algebra, we show that this assembly map is closely related to the (maximal) Baum-Connes assembly map for the group and is an isomorphism for a class of expanders. We also introduce a quantitative Baum-Connes assembly map and discuss its connections to K-theory of (maximal) Roe algebras.  相似文献

We consider the deformations of complex orbifolds with the underlying smooth structures being fixed.As a corollary,we can prove that the deformations of a Calabi-Yau orbifold is unobstructed by using standard arguments.Then we consider the period map for a family of complex Kahler orbifolds.We prove that the period map is holomorphic,horizontal and consistent with our Kodaira-Spencer map.  相似文献

We consider two generalizations of Nadler's theorem, one proved by Mizoguchi and Takahashi in response to the Reich conjecture and another theorem proved by Kaneko. We show that due to the additional conditions of these theorems the given multi-valued map reduces to a multi-valued contraction map. We prove this result by showing that the orbit of the multi-valued map is bounded under the contractive conditions of the two generalizations.  相似文献

We investigate the Gauss map of a hypersurface in Euclidean n-sphere as an application of the theory of Legendrian singularities. We can interpret the image of the Gauss map as the wavefront set of a Legendrian immersion into a certain contact manifold. We interpret the geometric meaning of the singularities of the Gauss map from this point of view.  相似文献

We consider an approximate model of a space pendulum described by a system of two equations. We construct a two-dimensional diagram in the parameter space showing the passage from a dissipative to a conservative state in this system. We show that the Poincaré map of this system can be represented as the square of some other map; this fact is used to explain some specific features of the structure of the bifurcation diagram of the original map.  相似文献

Consider an analytic map of a neighborhood of 0 in a vector space to a Euclidean space. Suppose that this map takes all germs of lines passing through 0 to germs of circles. Such a map is called rounding. We introduce a natural equivalence relation on roundings and prove that any rounding, whose differential at 0 has rank at least 2, is equivalent to a fractional quadratic rounding. A fractional quadratic map is just the ratio of a quadratic map and a quadratic polynomial. We also show that any rounding gives rise to a quadratic map between spheres. The known results on quadratic maps between spheres have some interesting implications concerning roundings. Partially supported by CRDF RM1-2086.  相似文献

We study the center map of an equiaffine immersion which is introduced using the equiaffine support function. The center map is a constant map if and only if the hypersurface is an equiaffine sphere. We investigate those immersions for which the center map is affine congruent with the original hypersurface. In terms of centroaffine geometry, we show that such hypersurfaces provide examples of hypersurfaces with vanishing centroaffine Tchebychev operator. We also characterize them in equiaffine differential geometry using a curvature condition involving the covariant derivative of the shape operator. We consider Smale spaces, that is, homeomorphisms of a compact metric spaces possessing canonical coordinates of contracting (stable) and expanding (unstable) directions. Examples of such dynamical systems include the basic sets for Smale's Axiom A systems. We also assume that each point of the space is non-wandering and that there is a dense orbit. We show that any almost one-to-one factor map between two such systems may be lifted in a certain sense to a factor map which is injective on the local stable sets (i.e., s-resolving). We derive several corollaries. One is a refinement of Bowen's result that every irreducible Smale space is a factor of an irreducible shift of finite type by an almost one-to-one factor map. We are able to show that there exists such a factor which is the composition of an s-resolving map and a u-resolving map. Supported in part by a grant from NSERC, Canada.  相似文献

We propose a method to map a multiply connected bounded planar region conformally to a bounded region with circular boundaries. The norm of the derivative of such a conformal map satisfies the Laplace equation with a nonlinear Neumann type boundary condition. We analyze the singular behavior at corners of the boundary and separate the major singular part. The remaining smooth part solves a variational problem which is easy to discretize. We use a finite element method and a gradient descent method to find an approximate solution. The conformal map is then constructed from this norm function. We tested our algorithm on a polygonal region and a curvilinear smooth region.  相似文献

It is known that in the Bogdanov–Takens map there exists a zone of transversal homoclinic intersections bounded by two curves of homoclinic tangencies. In this paper, we derive an improved asymptotic formula for the homoclinic parameter values of the BT map. We compare two methods to approximate the Bogdanov–Takens map by the time-1 flow of a vector-field, and find that they are equivalent. We show that it is essential to include the second-order terms w.r.t. the parameters to obtain a more accurate asymptotic for the homoclinic zone. We show how to use this new homoclinic asymptotic to compute branches of homoclinic tangencies in the BT map numerically, obtaining the whole homoclinic structure of the Bogdanov–Takens map.  相似文献

We consider sensitivity analysis in terms of variational sets for nonsmooth vector optimization. First, relations between variational sets, or their minima/weak minima, of a set-valued map and that of its profile map are obtained. Second, given an objective map, relationships between the above sets of this objective map and that of the perturbation map and weak perturbation map are established. Finally, applications to constrained vector optimization are given. Many examples are provided to illustrate the essentialness of the imposed assumptions and some advantages of our results.  相似文献

We consider a situation in which the two parameters of a Hénon map are modulated by the output of another Hénon map. Two cases are considered. Firstly, we investigate the behavior of the Hénon map when its parameters are modulated by another Hénon map, this last working in a high dissipative regime. Secondly, we use a Hénon map working in a low dissipative regime as the modulation. We show that, regardless of the considered case, multistability can be suppressed by the modulation.  相似文献
