Medium to high molecular weight random copolymers of 1,5-dioxepan-2-one (DXO) and L-lactide (L-LA) or ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) of different compositions have been investigated. Polymerization was conducted in bulk at 110°C using stannous 2-ethylhexanoate as catalyst. Poly(DXO-co-L-LA) is a hydrolysable material with a glass transition temperature (Tg) ranging from −36 up to 58°C depending on the molar composition. The material exhibited crystallinity as long as the amount of DXO did not exceed 50 weight%. Reactivity ratios were determined to rL-LA=10 and rDXO=0.1, giving a more blocky structure than expected in a random copolymer. The copolymer between ε-CL and DXO was shown to be a truly random copolymer by 13C NMR, as expected from the reactivity ratios, rDXO=1.6 and rε-CL=0.6. Tg of the material was ranging from −64 up to −39°C. The ability of the poly(DXO-co-ε-CL) to crystallize was retained up to a DXO content of 40 weight%. The melting temperature and crystallinity of both copolymers decrease with increasing amount of DXO. Incorporation of semicrystalline comonomers, L-LA or ε-CL, into the amorphous poly(DXO) creates materials with adjustable properties depending on the molar composition.  相似文献

以三氟化硼乙醚络合物为催化剂,进行了γ-戊内酯(γ-VL)与ε-己内酯(ε-CL)的本体开环共聚的研究.采用1H -NMR、13C- NMR证实了所得共聚物的结构,并对共聚物的分子量、组成、熔点等进行了表征.结果表明,在一定的条件下,难以均聚的γ-VL可与ε-CL发生共聚反应,从而在共聚物链结构中引入少量的γVL单元.γVL单元的引入使得共聚物的分子量和熔点下降.由K- T法估算出两种单体共聚的竞聚率分别为r(ε-CL)=17.6,r(γ-VL)=0.0078.  相似文献

A series of ONO-tridentate Schiff base ligands derived from chiral and achiral amino alcohols and amino acids were synthesized and reacted with AlEt(3) to provide dimeric aluminum complexes. These complexes were tested for the ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of rac-lactide at 70 °C in toluene, producing poly(lactide) with up to 82% isotacticity. The most active of these aluminum complexes was chosen to perform ring-opening homopolymerizations of rac-lactide, trimethylene carbonate (TMC), rac-β-butyrolactone (rac-β-BL), δ-valerolactone (δ-VL), and ε-caprolactone (ε-CL). Kinetic parameters were investigated, and each polymerization was found to be first order with respect to monomer concentration. Fractional orders were observed with respect to catalyst concentration, indicating catalyst aggregation during the polymerization processes. Activation parameters were determined for all monomers, with their ΔG(?) values at 90 °C being in the order rac-lactide ≈ rac-β-BL > δ-VL > TMC ≈ ε-CL. Fineman-Ross and kinetic studies of the copolymerization of rac-lactide and δ-VL both indicate that the rate of rac-lactide enchainment is higher than that of δ-VL, resulting in a tapered copolymer. In addition, single crystals of one of these aluminum complexes were grown in the presence of rac-lactide and characterized using X-ray crystallography. The unit cell contains two lactide monomers, one D- and one L-lactide, adding further proof that polymerization takes place via an enantiomorphic site control mechanism.  相似文献

Thermal and representative physico-mechanical properties of newly prepared poly[(ε-caprolactam)-co-(ε-caprolactone)] and poly[(ε-caprolactam)-co-(δ-valerolactone)] copolymers were studied. The copolymers were synthesized by anionic polymerization of ε-caprolactam activated by isocyanate end-capped oligomeric aliphatic polyesters designated as the macroactivators (MAs). Type, concentration and molecular weight of the MAs were varied, which resulted in copolymers with different structure and properties. The impact of the new MAs used in this study on the glass transition temperature and the melting temperature of poly-ε-caprolactam was investigated by DSC. DMTA was used to analyze the effect of copolymerization on the storage modulus (E) and tan δ of poly-ε-caprolactam. Conventional and high-resolution TGA data revealed that all the synthesized polyesteramides possess good thermal stability. Mechanical properties were studied by notched impact and tensile testing. According to the experimental data the impact toughness increase with the MA content, being six time higher compared to the poly(ε-caprolactam) in the best situation. Water absorption was also considered in relation to the composition of the copolymers.  相似文献

The recently isolated abnormal N-heterocyclic carbene (aNHC) has been established as an efficient organocatalyst in ring opening polymerization of three different cyclic esters rac-lactide (rac-LA), ε-caprolactone (ε-CL), and δ-valerolactone (δ-VL). Preliminary DFT calculations indicate that aNHC can be a better organocatalyst than the corresponding nNHC counterpart.  相似文献

Morphology is presented as a powerful tool to control the in vitro degradation and drug release characteristics of novel drug delivery microspheres prepared from homopolymer blends of 1,5‐dioxepan‐2‐one, DXO, and L ‐lactide, L‐LA. Their performance in this respect was compared to analogous P(L‐LA‐co‐DXO) microspheres. Blends formed denser and less porous microspheres with a higher degree of matrix crystallinity than copolymers of corresponding L‐LA:DXO composition. The morphology differences of blends and copolymers, further adjustable by means of component ratio, are shown to have a vital impact on the in vitro performance. Sustained drug delivery was obtained from both copolymers and blends. Molecular weight loss was retarded and diffusion‐mediated release was inhibited in the latter case, further delaying the release process. The effects of storage on the physicochemical properties of these systems were evaluated under desiccated and moist conditions for 5 months. Storage‐induced physicochemical changes, such as matrix crystallization and molecular weight decrease, were accelerated at higher relative humidities. P(L‐LA‐co‐DXO) demonstrated higher moisture sensitivity than a PLLA‐PDXO blend of corresponding composition. The more crystalline and dense morphology of blend microspheres may thus be considered an improvement of the storage stability. © 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Copolyesters containing ε-caprolactone and l-lactide or ε-caprolactone and δ-valerolactone at different compositions were synthesized by using tetrabutoxytitane Ti(OBu)4 at high temperature in bulk. A series of copolyesters were prepared by varying the compositions of both comonomers. These copolymers were characterized by using 1H NMR, 13C NMR, gel permeation chromatography (GPC), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. 13C NMR analysis gave an insight on their microstructure. Structural parameters of the copolymers were obtained by calculating the triad sequence fractions. Poly(ε-caprolactone-co-l-lactide) has a more alternate structure than poly(ε-caprolactone-co-δ-valerolactone). The potential use of these copolyesters in antifouling coatings was examined because of their solubility in aromatic solvent and their hydration and hydrolytic degradation. Paints based on these new degradable binders had a good antifouling activity in Atlantic Ocean (France).  相似文献

Claisen condensation of δ-valerolactone and ethyl trifluoroacetate leads to α-trifluoroacetyl-δ-valerolactone, existing completely in CDCl3 solution as an enol. Upon treatment of this cyclic 1,3-ketoester with aqueous HCl, an acyl-lactone rearrangement takes place. The structure of the resulting pyran was confirmed by an X-ray analysis. The ability of the rearrangement product to lose its carboxylic group under unexpected mild conditions was used for the synthesis of the corresponding 3-unsubstituted cyclic hemi-ketal.  相似文献

The anionic polymerization of δ-valerolactone initiated by KC24 in xylene or tetrahydrofuran was investigated. The influence of the polymerization conditions on the amount and composition of the oligomers fraction and high polymers formed was tested. Experiments were done with a potassium mirror and benzophenone-potassium as initiators of the polymerization to check the influence of the layered structure of the initiator. It was found that the amount of the oligomers formed under comparable conditions increases in the order KC24 (9%), potassium mirror (22%), benzophenone-potassium (56%). The highest yields of poly(δ-valerolactone) (over 90%) and highest intrinsic viscosities (1.0 dL/g and more) were achieved by the KC24-initiated polymerizations in xylene.  相似文献

An iminotris(dimethylamino)phosphorane (HMP1) phosphazene superbase has been anchored onto poly(hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene-co-4,4′-sulfonyldiphenol) (PZS)-coated Fe3O4 magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) through efficient phosphorous-chloride (from PZS surface) and imino (from HMP1) reaction. Subsequently, these novel heterogeneous Fe3O4@PZS@HMP1 catalysts have been successfully utilized in the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone (ε-CL) and δ-valerolactone (δ-VL). Notably, such catalysts can be easily removed from the reaction mixture and reused 3 times without obvious activity loss.  相似文献

Abstract

2,4,5-Tribromostyrene (TBSt) was copolymerized with methyl acrylate (MA) or methyl methacrylate (MMA) in a toluene solution using 2,2′-azobisisobutyronitrile as free radical initiator. The copolymerization reactivity ratios were found to be for the system TBSt / MA r1= 7.4 ± 1.2 (TBSt) and r2= 0.1 ± 1.4 (MA) and for the system TBSt / MMA r1 = 1.8 ± 0.2 (TBSt) and r2 = 0.1 ± 0.2 (MMA). The e and Q values were also calculated. The initial rate of copolymerization, as well as molecular weight of the obtained copolymers for both system linearly increase as the content of TBSt in the monomer mixture increases. Similar behavior has also been established for the course of the copolymerization reactions to high conversions. The resulting copolymers rapidly decompose at temperatures 20–800°C above the decomposition of corresponding (metha)crylate hompolymers. However, the glass transition temperature increases markedly with increasing TBS content.  相似文献

Magnesium chloride supported vanadium/titanium bimetallic Ziegler-Natta catalysts with di-i-butyl phthalate as internal donor for copolymerization of ethylene and propylene were prepared.The effects of reaction temperature, ethylene/propylene molar ratio,aluminium/vanadium(Al/V)molar ratio and titanium/vanadium molar ratio on the catalytic activity were investigated.The molecular weight,molecular weight distribution,sequence composition and crystallinity of the products were measured by gel permeation chromatography,13C-NMR and differential scanning calorimetry analysis, respectively.In comparison to the vanadium and titanium catalysts,the bimetallic catalyst showed higher catalytic activity and better copolymerization performance.The obtained ethylene/propylene copolymers have high molecular weight (105),broad molecular weight distribution,high propylene content with random or short blocked sequence structures (rErP=1.919),low melting temperatures and low crystallinities(Xc<20%).  相似文献

An attempt was made to prepare a graft copolymer consisting of poly(methyl vinyl ketone) (PMVK) as a backbone chain and polyacrylonitrile, poly(4-vinylpyridine), or polystyrene as a graft chain by UV irradiation of a solution of PMKV in the presence of acrylonitrile, 4-vinylpyridine, or styrene. the influence of reaction conditions on the yield, composition, and viscosity of the resulting graft copolymers was investigated. It was suggested from NMR and gel permeation chromatography that those graft copolymers contained a high molecular weight fraction of narrow distribution and block copolymers as well. the reverse osmosis membranes derived from the oxime and amidoxime of the graft copolymers showed a characteristic performance of exhibiting a maximal difference between rejections against NaCl and CoCl2 at a certain addition ratio of crosslinking agent, which was not observed in the membranes from copolymers by conventional radical copolymerization. the relationship between these phenomena and the branching structure of the graft copolymers was discussed.  相似文献

Abstract

The free radical copolymerization of N‐(4‐carboxyphenyl)maleimide (CPMI) (M1) with hydropropyl methacrylate (HPMA) (M2) was carried out with 2,2′‐azobis(isobutyronitrile) (AIBN) as an initiator in ethyl acetate at 75°C. The composition of copolymer prepared at low conversion was determined by elemental analysis. The monomer reactivity ratios were found to be r 1?=?0.31 and r 2?=?1.11 as determined by the YBR equation. The number‐average molecular weight and polydispersity were determined by gel permeation chromatography (GPC). Furthermore, the solvent effect on this copolymerization system was also investigated. The resulting copolymer was characterized by FTIR and 1H‐NMR spectroscopy. The thermal stability of copolymers was determined by thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). It was found that the copolymer shows step‐by‐step degradation, the initial decomposition temperature (T i), and final decomposition temperature (T f) increased with increasing the component of CPMI in copolymer.  相似文献

N‐tert‐butylacrylamide (NtBA) was copolymerized with ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EDMA) in butanone solution over a wide composition and conversion range, using dibenzoyl peroxide (Bz2O2) as a free‐radical initiator. The copolymer composition was determined from the nitrogen content. Using only low conversion (≤20%) collected for the copolymerization reactions, monomer reactivity ratios were estimated using the Kelen‐Tüdos graphical method and were found to be r1=0.26 (NtBA) and r2=7.05 (EDMA). In order to get a better insight into the mechanism of nanoporous copolymers of NtBA with EDMA preparation by thermal degradation of copolymers of N‐acryl‐N,N′‐di‐tert‐butylurea (A‐DitBuU) with EDMA, nonporous copolymers (model compound), of the same chemical structure and composition, were prepared by performing copolymerization of NtBA with EDMA up to the high conversion of 97–100%. Difunctional hydroxy-terminated poly(ε-caprolactone-co-ε-valerolactone) (PCV) oligomers were synthesized by the diol-initiated bulk copolymerization of ε-caprolactone (C) and δ-valerolactone (V). The two homopolymers were semicrystalline, with almost identical melting temperatures; copolymerization significantly lowered the melting point (Tm) compared to either homopolymer. Copolymer melting points were found to decrease with decreasing molecular weight and to be dependent on composition, i.e., the incorporation of a comonomer into either homopolymer resulted in a decrease in Tm, with the maximum decrease occurring at a copolymer composition of about 60 mol % ε-caprolactone. The molar compositions of the copolyesters were determined from 13C-NMR spectra. The reactivity ratios of the two monomers (M1 = C, M2 = V) were determined to the r1 = 0.25 and r2 = 0.49. Number average molecular weight (M?n) of the PCV diols was inversely proportional to the initial diol concentration within the studied molecular weight range of 900 to 11,100 g/mol. Crosslinked polyurethane networks were prepared by reacting PCV diols with triphenylmethane triisocyanate. Network characterization included determination of sol content by solvent extraction, glass transition (Tg) and Tm by DSC, and tensile properties by stress-strain measurements. Completely amorphous networks resulted from PCV diols of M?n ≤ 2,400; semicrystalline networks resulted from PCV diols of M?n ≥ 3,600.  相似文献

Abstract

4‐(3′,4′‐Dimethoxycinnamoyl)phenyl acrylate (DMCPA) containing pendant chalcone moiety was copolymerized with methyl methacrylate (MMA) by radical polymerization in ethyl methyl ketone at 70°C under a nitrogen atmosphere using benzoyl peroxide (BPO) as a free radical initiator. The prepared polymer was characterized by UV, FT‐IR, 1H‐NMR, and 13C‐NMR spectra. The composition of the copolymer was determined using 1H‐NMR analysis. The monomer reactivity ratios of copolymerization were determined using conventional linearization methods such as Fineman–Ross (r 1 = 0.26 and r 2 = 0.61), Kelen–Tudos (r 1 = 0.26 and r 2 = 0.61), and Ext. Kelen–Tudos (r 1 = 0.23 and r 2 = 0.59), and a non‐linear error‐in‐variables model (EVM) method using the computer program RREVM (r 1 = 0.2541 and r 2 = 0.6094). The molecular weights (M w and M n) of the copolymers were determined by gel permeation chromatography. Thermogravimetric analysis of the polymers in air reveals that the stability of the copolymers decreases with an increase in the mole fraction of MMA in the copolymers. The solubility of the polymers was tested in various polar and non‐polar solvents. The glass transition temperature of the copolymers was determined as a function of copolymer composition. The copolymers were sensitive to UV light and became crosslinked after irradiation with 254 nm light.  相似文献
