Abstract

Thia- and sulfonyl-calix[4]arene methylphosphonous acids have been synthesized by hydrolysis of corresponding alkyl esters. Host-Guest complexation of the thiacalix[4]arene tetrakis-methylphosphonous acid with a series of 12 amino acids has been investigated by HPLC and molecular modeling methods. Stability constants of the complexes are within 530—10,140 M?1 in water contained solution.  相似文献

Series of the calix[4]arene phosphonic acids with various substituents at the lower rim was synthesized. Complexing properties of these receptors towards methyl esters of six amino acids strongly depended on the calix[4]arene conformation flexibility. The complex formation processes were monitored using 1H NMR spectroscopy (deuterated phosphate buffer at pD 7.3, 22 °C) and association constant values were evaluated. Inherently mobile calix[4]arene molecule 3 occurred in cone conformation in aqueous solution turned out to be more effective in complexation of the basic amino acids methyl esters compared to the rigid 2 and flexible 4. Mixed 1:2 and 2:1 (host–guest) complexes were observed for compound 1 with all amino acids methyl esters.  相似文献

Direct O-alkylation of p-tert-butyltetrathiacalix[4]arene with N,N-diethylchloroacetamide afforded two conformational isomers (1,3-alternate and cone) of tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene and 1,3-disubstituted bis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene, depending on the base used. The complaxation behaviors of the tetrakis isomers were assessed by 1H NMR titration experiments. Evidence of 1:2 (homo- and hetero-dinuclear) complexes formation of 1,3-alternate-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene with alkali (K+ and Na+) or transition (Ag+) metal ions was obtained. Interestingly, it was found that the cone-tetrakis[(N,N-diethylaminocarbonyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene required a prior Ag+ complexation to form 1:2 heterodinuclear complex. Thiacalix[4]arene contains a circular array of four equivalent hydrogen bonds on its lower rim. The array undergoes a flip–flop motion between two possible directions. The rate of this motion in the temperature range 223–313 K is assessed by means of measurements of the nuclear spin relaxation. The values of the activation enthalpy (38.7 kJ mol? 1) and of the activation entropy ( ? 15 J mol? 1 K? 1) were determined. In addition, correlation times of molecular tumbling have been determined in the same temperature range. The measured properties of thiacalix[4]arene are compared to those of the “classical” calix[4]arene in order to utilize them for fine tuning of the building blocks in supramolecular chemistry.  相似文献

Aminobismethylenephosphonic acids on a platform of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene were obtained by reacting macrocyclic amines with phosphorous acid and formaldehyde under acid catalysis. Free phenol hydroxy groups on the lower rim of p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene were found to inhibit the interaction with the amino moieties of the macrocycle. In the case of amino derivatives of thiacalix[4]arene containing no hydroxy groups the reaction led to the formation of target compounds in good yields.  相似文献

Host–guest complexation process of 5,17-bis-(N-tolyliminomethyl)-25,27-dipropoxycalix[4]arene with pyridine carboxylic acids by RP HPLC method (mobile phase – MeCN/H2O, 86/14 by volume, LiChrosorb RP 18, UV detector, λ = 254 nm) had been studied. The binding constants and Gibbs free energies of the complexes 5,17-bis(N-tolyliminomethyl)-25,27-dipropoxycalix[4]arene with the pyridine carboxylic acids are within 584 to 1914 M? 1 and ? 15.76 to ? 18.69 kJ/mol, respectively. It was shown by the molecular modelling that the complexes are stabilised by hydrogen bonds between carboxylic groups of the acids and nitrogen atoms of imino groups at the upper rim or oxygen atoms of the hydroxyl groups at the lower rim of the macrocycle. Linear dependence of the binding constants from the acid lipophilicity log P indicates the role of solvophobic interactions during the complexation process.  相似文献

By reacting thiacalix[4]arene with p-tosyloxyethoxylbenzaldehyde 1, 3-bis(benzaldehyde-4-oxyethyloxy)-p-tert-butylthiacalix[4]arene (2) were prepared in yield of 65%. Refluxing compound 2 with aniline, salicylic hydrazide, nicotinic hydrazide and isonicotinic hydrazide, novel ringopening 1,3-bis-arylformyl-hydrazone substituted thiacalix[4]arene derivatives (3a3d) were obtained in yields of 77–89%. Refluxing compound 2 with o-phenylendiamine, oxalyl dihydrazide, malonic dihydrazide and adipic dihydrazide in “1 + 1” intermolecular condensation mode under diluted condition, novel 1,3-bis-acyl hydrazone-bridged calix[4]arene derivatives (4a4d) were prepared in good yields. Moreover, by condensating compound 2 with 1,3-bis(hydrazinocarbonyl-methoxy)-p-tert-butylcalix[4]arene (5), the first example of hydrazone-bridged biscalixarene (6) with calix[4]arene and thiacalix[4]arene subunits was facilely synthesized in yield of 90%. The noncompetitive and competitive extracting experiments showed that these novel hosts were good receptors for both metal cations and α-amino acids. Compounds 3a–3d and 4a–4d showed similar binding properties with high extraction percentage but low extracting selectivities. Biscalixarene 6 exhibited not only high extracting abilities but also good extracting selectivities.  相似文献

A convenient method for preparation of thiacalix[4]arene tetraamides in high to good yields by reacting conic or 1,3‐altp‐tert‐butyl‐tetrakis[(ethoxycarbonyl)methoxy]‐thiacalix[4]arene with excess monoamines or diamines is reported. In most cases, corresponding tetraamides with original conformation were obtained. However, when the cone one was reacted with ethylenediamine or propylenediamine, the obtained tetraamides possessed partial conic conformation, which meant that conversion of conformation occurred.  相似文献

The synthesis and NOE-based structural characterization is described of thiacalix[4]arene tricarboxylic acid (7), thiacalix[4]crown-5 and -6 monocarboxylic acids (2 and 5), and the bis(N-methylsulfonyl)thiacalix[4]crowns-5 and -6 (4a,b). The 226Ra2+ selectivity coefficients, log(K(Ra)ex/K(M)ex), of the new thiacalix[4]arene derivatives are compared directly with those of thiacalix[4]crown-5 and -6 (1a,b), thiacalix[4]crown-5 and -6 dicarboxylic acids (3a,b), and thiacalix[4]arene di- and tetracarboxylic acids (6 and 8). Thiacalix[4]arene dicarboxylic acid (6) already exhibits a high 226Ra2+ selectivity, but this is significantly improved in the case of 3b, having an additional crown-(6-)ether bridge. The covalent combination of a crown ether and carboxylic acid substituents as in the thiacalix[4]arenes 2,3a,b,4a,b, and 5 gives a better 226Ra2+ selectivity in the presence of Sr2+ or Ba2+ than mixtures of dibenzo-21-crown-7 and thiacalix[4]arene dicarboxylic acid (6) or of pentadecanoic acid and thiacalix[4]crown-6 (1b).  相似文献

The first comparative theoretical study of three parent calix[4]arene analogues (calix[4]arene, thiacalix[4]arene, and homooxacalix[4]arene) has been performed using molecular dynamic simulations and density functional theory (MPWB1K/6-311G∗∗//B3LYP/6-311G∗∗) methods. The theoretical observations herein including optimized geometry, polarity, and atomic charge data provide that homooxacalix[4]arene would offer more efficient platform for metal ion recognition compared to thiacalix[4]arene or calix[4]arene.  相似文献

Thiacalix[4]arenes possessing carboxylic groups were used for the design of potential dendritic cores with amino surface groups. The known tetraacetic acid in the 1,3-alternate conformation gave the desired product in very low yield because of steric hindrance on thiacalix[4]arene moiety. Therefore, synthetic strategy based on withdrawing of the carboxyl groups via benzylic spacer from the thiacalix[4]arene moiety was successfully applied for the realization of novel thiacalix[4]arenes bearing two or four protected lysine units.  相似文献

Density functional theory calculations for the structure and conformational equilibrium of thiacalix[4]arene are reported. The conformational equilibrium of thiacalix[4]arene, a heterocalixarene in which the phenol groups are bridged by sulphur atoms is compared to the conformational equilibrium of calix[4]arene. Thiacalix[4]arene conformational energies relative to the cone conformer (ΔE's) are reduced in comparison with calix[4]arene. This conformational change is in qualitative agreement with recent NMR spectroscopy measurements of the conformational equilibrium for a tetraethylether of thiacalix[4]arene in a CDCl3 solution which indicates an enhanced chemical exchange of thiacalixarene conformers in comparison with similar methylene bridged structures. Density functional theory results for the structure of thiacalix[4]arene are in good agreement with recent X-ray diffraction measurements. The electrostatic potentials in the cone conformers of thiacalix[4]arene and calix[4]arene suggest that their complexation or recognition abilities can be significantly different. Dipole moments of the four thiacalix[4]arene conformers are in the order: cone>1,2-alternate>partial-cone>1,3-alternate.  相似文献

合成了基于下缘含有酰肼基团的硫杂杯芳烃衍生物的银离子载体1,其核磁研究证实硫杂杯芳烃以1,3-交替构象存在,并且通过非竞争萃取实验和竞争萃取实验研究了它对碱金属和过渡金属离子(Li+, Na+, K+, Cs+, Co2+, Ni2+, Cu2+, Zn2+ and Ag+)的键合能力和选择性。实验结果表明:将酰肼基团引入1,3-交替构象的硫杂杯芳烃骨架的下缘可以提高其对Ag+的键合能力和选择性,同时,对Cu2+的萃取能力较弱,对碱金属离子和其它的重金属离子几乎没有萃取能力。进一步的核磁滴定和电喷雾质谱实验显示化合物1与银离子形成配合物的配合计量比为1:1,由此推断主要由“N-Ag+”配位键以及硫杂杯芳烃骨架的协同作用构成了化合物1与银离子的配合模式。  相似文献

A water-soluble pillar[6]arene dodecaamine has been synthesized. 1H NMR and fluorescence studies indicate that pillar[6]arene dodecaamine could selectively and strongly bind acidic amino acids, i.e. glutamic acid and aspartic acid in water. And the complexation behavior of pillar[6]arene dodecaamine towards acidic tripeptide glutathione and short chain length (C3 to C8) dicarboxylic acids in water is also investigated.  相似文献

The liquid–liquid extraction of a series of amino acid methyl esters has been carried out with functionalised calix[4]arene (5,11,17,23-tetrakis(N-methylpiperazino)-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxycalix[4]arene) from an aqueous phase into a chloroform phase as ion pairs in the presence of picrate ion or tropaeolin 00 as counter ion in order to study the molecular recognition properties of this receptor. The active transport assisted by pH gradient of amino acids as ion pairs through liquid membrane employing the functionalised calix[4]arene as carrier has been investigated. The results showed that the receptor exhibits good extractability towards amino acids and it can also act as carrier through liquid membrane aiming to the separation of amino acids. It was highlighted that the anion nature used as counter ion, the structure of calix[4]arene, and the structure of amino acids are responsible for the experimental results obtained. High yields in both amino acids extraction and transport were obtained for picrate ion used as counter ion.  相似文献

A novel conic thiacalix[4]arene derivative (1) with diagonal quinolin-8-yloxy pendants via oxyethylene spacer has been synthesized in one step. The coordination properties of the new ligand towards Ni2 + , Co2 +  and Zn2 +  ions were studied by UV–vis, fluorescent spectra and 1H NMR titration. The results showed that 1 formed very stable complexes with the three metal ions, and the stoichiometries of 1-Ni2 + , 1-Co2 +  and 1-Zn2 +  were 1:1, 1:2 and 1:2, respectively.  相似文献

Three new thiacalix[4]arene derivatives, 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,27-di(2-hydroxyethoxy)-26,28-dihydroxythiacalix-{}[4]arene (2), 5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-25, 26,27,28-tetrakis[(methylcarboxyl)methoxy]thiacalix[4]arene (3),5,11,17,23-tetra-tert-butyl-25,26,27,28-tetrakis(2-hydroxy-1-propanoxy)thiacalix[4]arene (4), were synthesized for the first time. The coordination properties of thiacalix[4]arene(1) and its derivatives (2 and 4) were investigated by detecting the interactions betweenthese compounds and two palladium complexes, cis-[Pd(en)(H2O)2]2+ and cis-[Pd(dtco-3-OH)(H2O)2]2+, by means of electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) technique.  相似文献

The possibility of using three derivatives of p-R-thiacalix[4]arene: tetraethyl ester of p-(1-adamantyl)thiacalix[4]arene acid (I) and asymmetric p-tert-buthylcalix[4]-p-R-thiacalix[4]arene “molecular tubes” [R = tert-Bu(II), 1-adamantyl(III)] as ionophores in PVC-membrane ISEs for the determination of Na+, K+ and Rb+ ions was studied. It was found that an electrode based on thiacalix[4]arene (I) exhibited high selectivity toward Na+ ions, and electrodes with (II) and (III) demonstrated a good potentiometric response of the Rb+ ion; Rb+ can be determined in the presence of excess amounts Na+ and K+.  相似文献

A novel ditopic receptor possessing two complexation sites and bearing 1,3-alternate conformation based on thiacalix[4]arene was prepared. The binding behaviors with alkali metals and silver ion have been examined by 1H NMR titration experiment. Although the formation of the heterogeneous dinuclear complexes was not observed, the exclusive formation of mononuclear complexes of 1,3-alternate-3 with metal cations is of particular interest in negative allosteric effect in the thiacalix[4]arene family. These findings demonstrate that preorganization, subtle conformational changes and affinity have a pronounced effect on the complexation process between the two different arms placed at the two edges of the thiacalix[4]arene cavity.  相似文献
