| Abstract: | Electroreductive crossed hydrocoupling of  ,β-unsaturated esters with aldehydes or ketones in the presence of trimethylchlorosilane afforded γ-lactones in good yields. Similarly, ,β-unsaturated nitriles gave γ-hydroxynitriles in high yields. |
