| Abstract: | The Kondo properties of Yb dilute alloys and intermetallics have been investigated using Mössbauer spectroscopy on170Yb. In the dilute alloysAuYb andLaBe Yb, the Kondo logarithmic anomaly of the impurity relaxation rate has been detected, and in the concentrated Yb compounds YbBe13, YbP and YbAs, and YbCuAl, the manifestations of the interplay between the Kondo effect and the magnetic ordering due to the RKKY interaction have been characterized. |
