Organometallic chemistry of silver and copper N‐heterocyclic carbene complexes

The only stable organometallic carbene complexes of silver and copper are those of N‐heterocyclic carbenes, since formally these robust divalent carbon ligands bind only by a σ donor interaction to the metal.
