Broad band Bragg deflector for optical waveguides on silicon substrates

Technical solutions are described which allow the 500 MHz acousto-optical Bragg deflector integrated onto a silicon substrate to have a good performance and quite high deflection efficiency. This is achieved by diminishing the influence of acoustic propagation losses. As a consequence, is it possible to implement a large bandwidth acousto-optical rf spectrum analyser using fully planar technology.
