The Stability of the Vertical Oscillations of a Body in a Dynamic Potential Well

Study is made of a superconducting magnet vertically oscillating in a dynamic potential well under gravity. The well appears as the magnet moves under discrete short-circuited loops placed along a two-wire current line. It is shown that the system under consideration is stable and the branching of the magnetic flux in the moving solenoid makes it possible to control its amplitude–frequency responses without additional energy inputs
