Abstract: | The kinetics of pore formation upon plastic deformation of crystals with a cesium chloride structure was studied as the first stage of a first-order phase transition in a deformable media. The shape and the critical dimensions of microvoids depending on the critical shear stress were found. The number of critical microvoids per unit volume arising per unit time on the surface of a slip plane was determined based on the kinetics of formation of pairs of charged vacancies. The volume fraction of pores at the initial stage of plastic deformation in CsBr and CsI crystals was estimated. |
