Abstract: | Summary This article describes a thin-layer chromatographic method for the determination of catecholamines in human urine. Chromatographic separation on NH2-modified silica gel layers is followed by in-situ visualization brought about by heating the plate. The use of this derivatization technique for other urine components, such as creatine, creatinine, uric acid and glucose, is also discussed. |
