| Abstract: | Indoline-2-thiones were chemoselectively S-benzylated using a variety of benzyl alcohols by boron trifluoride etherate-catalyzed reactions. The aryl substituent effect on the reactivity of the benzyl alcohols toward S-benzylation is also discussed. |
