Abstract: | Electroinitiated cationic copolymerization of indene and α-methylstyrene in dichloromethane has been investigated by constant potential electrolysis. The effects of copolymerization potential and the temperature on the copolymer composition was also studied. Constant potential electrolysis was found to be a suitable method to study the potential effects on copolymer compositions and the reactivity ratios of the monomers. The reactivity ratios were calculated according to integrated Lewis–Mayo equation. |
