| Abstract: | Lower Chalcogen Fluorides. IX. Preparation and Characterization of SF3SSF During cocondensation of SF2 and SSF2 the new compound 1,3-Difluorotrisulphane-1,1-difluoride is formed in low yield and can be isolated by means of low temperature fractionation. The compound was unequivocally characterized by 19F-n.m.r,i.r.,Raman, and mass spectra. The unstable compound ist a colourless, viscous liquid with an extrapolated boiling point of 94°C and a melting point of ?62°C. It decomposes to SF4 and SSF2 in the gas phase. |
