Nonlinear Concentration Waves in an Imperfect Reacting Diffusion System

A nonlinear differential equation describing the evolution of the intermediate reagent concentration is derived for the generalized Schlogl model of a chemical reaction in an imperfect system. It is demonstrated that concentration waves corresponding to a periodic analytic solution of the evolutionary equation arise in the imperfect system.
