On the Range of the Chébli–Trimèche Transform

We first characterise the L²-Schwartz functions whose image under the Chébli–Trimèche transform are compactly supported smooth functions. We then generalise a theorem by H. H. Bang, characterising the smooth L^p-functions whose (distributional) transform have compact support.The author is supported by a research grant from the Australian Research Council.
