Abstract: | The new binuclear complex [(1,10-phen)2Zn2(μ2-OOCR)2(η2-OOCR)2]·4THF (2·4THF, RCOO− is the β-naphthoate anion) was synthesized. According to the single-crystal X-ray diffraction study, a one-dimensional supramolecular structure is formed through intra- and intermolecular π-π interactions between the phenanthroline moieties of complex 2. Compound 2 exhibits photoluminescence properties at room temperature. |
