| Abstract: | Two compounds were obtained from the rhizome of Dioscorea zingiberensis Wright. One of them was elucidated as dioscin, the other one was a new compound and characterized as Spirost-5-en-3-yl beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1 --> 3)-beta-D-glucopyranosyl (1 --> 4)-[alpha-L-rhamnopyranosyl (1 --> 2)]-beta-D-glucopyranoside, structure was determined on the basis 2D NMR spectroscopic technique and the result of acid hydrolysis. |
