Abstract:
The dielectric relaxation study of pharmacologically important drugs in ethanol has been carried out at various temperatures and concentrations in the frequency range of 10 MHz to 10 GHz using Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technique. Dielectric properties i.e. dielectric constant and relaxation time were obtained from the complex permittivity spectra using nonlinear least squares fit method. From the values of relaxation time, thermodynamic parameters were determined. The results obtained are used to interpret the nature and kinds of solute-solvent interactions.
