| Abstract: | Reaction of cyclic carbonates or sulfites of acyclic alkynyl diols with organocopper reagents proceeded in SN2′ fashion and afforded α-allenic alcohols of high enantiomeric purity. The stereochemistry of this transformation was shown to be highly anti-diastereoselective. |
